Scribbles About Life: I Won a Radio Contest

So a couple days ago I actually won a radio contest! I know its nothing that unusual or special... but it was the first radio contest I won! And I was happy with it.

The prize was a chocolate bunny filled with butter cookies from a local chocolate shop... that I've actually won something from before at a gift auction... I have good luck with things... Maybe I'll talk about that too. So the question was one I knew right away because it was an english related question. Which author was born on the same day as a Hailey's Comet and died 2 days after a Hailey's Comet... do you know... I'll wait for you to guess...

Mark Twain! It's Mark Twain lol. So I knew it right away and I was like "should I call? I kinda want those cookies and chocolate..." And so I did call and the woman was really nice. I thought I was going to be nervous and sound stupid, but people on the radio are very nice and friendly... and she really was. She had to ask for my birthday and when I told her she said her brother's birthday was the same day but a few years later... so that was pretty cool!

And the prize was adorable and delicious! We still have it cause... its a lot of food and chocolate lol... but its so good I'm surprised we still have it to be honest!
When you lift open the ears, cookies are inside. Its like a cute chocolate cookie jar! This is from a place called Chocolate Carousel and they always have clever things like that. I mentioned I won from them before, it was a chocolate sleigh with cookies on the inside.

So yeah! Listen to Fun 107.1 cause that was the radio station, and pay attention in English Class cause you might win chocolate sometime in the future. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
