Song of The Day: Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C

So I thought Songs of The Day would be fun. I did this a long time ago and I wanted to do this every week at one point... but I don't think I ever really did. But anyway- this song used to make me sad as a kid thinking about the future and growing up... now it kind of makes me think of the past and how I never really grew up... so that's weird. I think the scariest part of this song is in the beginning it mentions "Always thinking about we'll be when we turn 25." I'll be 27 next month... so that's super scary to think of... I thought I'd have something to show by now... like a movie that I wrote or starred in or something... ugh. That is really scary! Anyway... so am I friends with the people I was friends with the first time I listened to this song and it made me sad... no... I mean it's easier to catch up with people now because of Facebook... but other than liking a post every once and a while and seeing how cute some people's kids are...

Graduation Gift Guide 2016

I might be a little late for this... but I think Graduation parties are still going on... so here are some gift ideas for grads. Money is always traditional. That's probably the most helpful... but there are always other things you can get too. If they're moving out/moving to college a Bed Bath and Beyond Gift Card would be very helpful. Or a Target gift card would be very helpful. My friend got me a really nice jewelry box that said "I have everything I just need somewhere to put it" or something. That was cute. You could do something cute and pinteresty like make a candy board or something. That would be fun! It would be nice to buy them something you know they wouldn't buy themselves. That could be anything... but something you see and you know they would love... but you also know that they wouldn't get for themselves. Hard to decide, but I think that would be thoughtful and nice. If they like a cartoon or have some sort of hobby... you could do...

Graduation: Experience, Thoughts and What Not To Do

So I just graduated! Wooo hoo! It was yesterday by the time I'm posting this blog... I'm writing it the day of though. May 18th basically. Lol. So here's just kind of what my experience was with it. I went to a small school, the Newark campus of Rutgers which isn't the smallest campus ever, but its pretty small and its mostly commuter. So thats just a little frame of reference. The ceremony itself was at the Prudential Center, which is a big venue... which is pretty nice because we didn't end up needing tickets for the guests or anything. It was pretty good. So I liked the way that I graduated because I finished all my classes a long time ago. I finished back in December and just waited until May to graduate cause I wanted a bigger graduation than the December one. It just seemed easier and I'm happy I did it that way. I'm glad that I didn't need to take finals or anything right before graduation because I had a bunch of stuff to do. I did take easie...
