The Ratings Game: Lowest Rated and Highest Rated Episodes of The Office

I thought I'd do something different today... cause this is something that kind of interests me... I don't know if anyone else would be interested in this at all... but I like knowing what the highest rated and lowest rated episodes of TV shows are... and I've been watching The Office a lot lately and I've seen both of these episodes pretty recently, so it seemed like as good a time as any to compare the two episodes! Highest Rated- Stress Relief  Season 5 episodes 14+15   (aired February 1st 2009) 22.91 million viewers  So the highest rated episode of the show is Stress Relief. This aired after the Super Bowl in the fifth season of the show and it got 22.91 million viewers  According to Wikipedia . The second most viewed episode of the series was the Pilot- which had 11.20 million viewers... so quite a difference there! This is one of my favorite episodes of the show in general... I think personally for me it's 2nd or third on the list for me after Mafia ...

Latest Oscar Recap Ever

So I did want to do a recap of the Oscars- I mentioned that and although I only saw one of the movies nominated- Get Out- I still thought I had enough that I could really do a good review of and I have some things to say so here we go! Allllright so first off I liked Jimmy Kimmel as a host last year... I think he did a pretty okay job... Jimmy Kimmel isn't my favorite late night talk show... I usually skip it- but I do like some segments and I think Kimmel is a good person. I kind of wish he spoke out more against people like Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck and Matt Damon... he sort of had a good opportunity to do that and I think he could have... but annnnyway I thought he did a good job the previous year... and I think this year he improved. He might not have been on it a lot... but I liked that they went to a movie theater to surprise moviegoers... although I think they might have done that last year. I liked his opening monologue... overall I just think he's a good pick an...

DeBunked-ish: Jim Cheats on Pam At The End Of The Office

Alright- so I was watching The Office today... it was the last few episodes of the series- they had a marathon on Comedy Central which I think they have every Sunday... which is awesome... but anyway this was my first time watching the episodes since hearing the theory that Jim Halpert cheated on his wife Pamela Halpert and that the documentary crew helped him cover it up. While I did think this theory was very interesting when I first read it and I actually really believed it... after watching the episodes in question today... I just don't think it's true... so before I get into why I'm "Debunking" it... I'm going to start out with why I believed it. WHY I BELIEVED THIS THEORY:  1. Jim is a likable guy- Jim is the type of guy that can be friends with anyone- so it's really not hard to believe that he would make friends with the documentary crew members so that he could manipulate them into covering up the affair. 2. Jim and Pam Were Away From Each...

Throwback Thursday: History of the Superbowl Lead Out Program

So I'm always interested in the superbowl lead out programs and what shows have actually played after the super bowl... I was going to list them all- but there are 52 of them... and I don't know all that much about the shows that were on before I was born... so I'm just going to 1991 since that is when I was born... and I'll do a couple little mentions of some important ones.  Here  is the Wikipedia page about it... so yeah. Before Shannon Was Born...  So the first superbowl in 1968- from the looks of it aired on both CBS and NBC. CBS showed Lassie and NBC showed Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color - which is interesting because it was before ABC was owned by Disney... so tha'ts pretty cool. All in The Family, The A Team and CHIPs were other shows that I recognized. The Nightly News and 60 Minutes were in a few... plus there was another Wonderful World of Color and a few more Lassie's. Shows That Had Pilot Episodes After The Superbowl...  The ...

Throwback Thursday: Rewatching The Office

Going to take a break from my regularly Scheduled Scribbles About Music Throwback to bring you this! I'm re-watching the Office and it might be even better than the first time I watched it, to be honest! I have The Office on DVD... and I have a DVD player... so I don't really know why I decided to watch it on Netflix... but I did and I'm loving it. If you liked The Office watching it the first time around... you might like it even better watching it a second time. Its still exciting to me to see Jim and Pam becoming a couple and Dwight and Angela and I'm almost at the point where Michael and Jan get together... it just didn't get any less exciting even though I already know what happens. I also didn't really appreciate the first season... I had only watched it once, I had maybe watched Diversity Day a second time... but for the most part I was just like "meh, not that interesting, I'll skip and watch season 2",,, but Season 1 of The Office is a...

Weekly Wrap Up: 8.14.16

Favorites  The Office- I decided to re-watch the office this week. I really like that show, I'm doing a throwback thursday on it soon... and its just really good. Great show. Happy to be watching it again!  Tropicana Peach Lemonade Juice- I've still been loving the watermelon juice... but the Peach Lemonade is really addictive too. It tastes more like oranges than peaches... but its really really good! I really recommend it, I think anyone that likes oranges and lemonade would probably really like it. Cotton Candy Grapes- I don't think I need to explain this. Cotton Candy Grapes exist... and they are just as delicious as you would think they would be!  Snippets from the week  -Monday I went out with my mom and some of our friends.  -Tuesday... I went in the pool and read some of Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates... which I don't think is a book made for me... lol.  - Wednesday I didn't do too much. I had a whats up wednesday that was really f...

Woman Crush Wednesday: Ellie Kemper

Ellie Kemper is one of the awesomest of the awesome ladies... so duhhh I have a woman crush on her! 1) She plays some pretty "shannon-y" characters- All of her characters are very relatable to me and she plays them to perfection pretty much. Independent and smart but also with "phoebe-ish" type qualities. I mean Phoebe from friends if that makes sense lol. Kimmy Schmidt doesn't understand the present because its the future for her. Erin was fun and smart but a little on the silly and awkward side... thats so much like me it isn't even funny. Even in Bridesmaids she was obsessed with Pixar. She's so good. 2) She is fantastic on talk shows- I feel like Ellie is really well spoken on talk shows and in public settings and that makes me like her even more. She was on Ellen and they talked about a lot of things from her engagement story to her being in a haunted hotel and she just always seems like she has something super interesting to say and a lot of gr...
