1) Zoe Saldana's husband takes her last name - This was pretty cool news. Apparently Zoe Saldana's husband Marco Perego took the Saldana name instead of carrying on his legacy. Why? Because you don't lose your legacy by taking a partners last name! He said it on their facebook page as a message to men that they can also take their partner's last name if they feel comfortable with it. Honestly, today there is a lot of pressure for women to take a last name or not take a last name also. I've been for it and against it at times... but ultimately, you are building a new legacy... its not really about you individually anymore. I think its more about signifying that you are one family unit. I really like my last name, its Kahermanes, its long and hard to pronounce and its pretty rare even in Greece. It means Martyred God... which is kind of cool and deep and I don't even understand it lol... so I don't think I'll ever give it up... likely I'll keep it an...
