Feeling Lovely Friday- Did I like it?

Sooo on Sunday or Monday I posted a kind of "haul" of things that I picked up from target and one thing from my grocery store and now I'm just going to give my little reviews. It's sort of a first impression since I haven't been using them all that much, but I've used them more than once. So it's like a fourth impression really. Lol. This might be kind of boring because I actually liked all of them. I would recommend them all, but I'll tell you why for different reasons. L'Oreal sikissme eyeliner- This I thought was my favorite at first... idk if it still is. I really like it though. I got it in the rose gold color, it lasts pretty long most days and it seems not so long other days... idk. I like wearing it without any eyeshadow or anything. It makes you look more awake. It's kind of eye-catching too. I like it. Maybeline Babyskin Primer- I was probably most excited about this. I've needed a real primer because of the pore-problem I...

Feeling Lovely Thursday: Products I've used up

I was going to wait till I had a bunch of stuff and make this a GIGANTIC post... but I'm leaving for winter break tomorrow, and I don't want to leave all this random trash in my room. Side note: I do not like keeping empty products around very long, so you may not see very many of these from me.  (I'm pre-writing this it's 12/19 right now... well technically 12/20 but its only 1:19 so it hasn't be 12/20 for very long yet. lol. I just thought I'd mention that so that you don't think I got out of winter break super late or something like that. lol.) Anyhoo let's check out all this trash! Doesn't it look cool??? Look there's even a dime! lol  Alrighty lets start with hair since I seem to have the most haircare products here. So the first thing I used up was the Pantene Smoothing Creme for normal to thick hair. I talked about this, and all of my products in my hair care routine post, so if you want specific details about how and when I u...

2013 It List- Feeling Lovely Thursday Edition

Sooo since it is the first Thursday of the new year, I thought I would start it off with a special feeling lovely Thursday where I talk about my favorite 2013 beauty/fashion/hair/skincare/ bath products because those made me feel lovely. This is a top 10 list... but I cheated a bit. I haven't tried any total fails, I usually end up liking some aspect of every makeupy thing that I have... so there may be some overlay of things. Also I'm going to add a little manly bonus at the end, because these blog posts tend to be quite girly, but I thought I'd mention some manly thing for any manly men reading this blog. And que the two and a half men theme song. lolz. 1) Ugg Knee High Knit Boots- I have no idea what these are called, but they are my friggin favorite. I love uggs and toms, I like high heels but I do not live a high heel lifestyle and therefore cannot pull them off in everyday life. I love these so much because they can be worn as knee high's or you could pull them ...

Something that doesn't make me feel lovely-pores!?!?

So I don't know exactly what's happened recently, but I've been noticing pores a lot more and it's bothering me a lot. Usually pores are just regular pores. I've never really paid much attention to them. But recently I've been noticing them on my face and I'm like "ohh that's not cute." I kind of want to buy a primer or some sort of skincare type thing that minimizes pores... But everything claims to minimize pores, so I have no idea what's real and what isn't. And it's not like I have a ton of noticeable pores. There are just a few that stick out and they're like "yo, whatup Shan, I'm a pore. I'm just gonna chill here on your face and be the worst." Note: the pore is singing "the worst" it is a known fact that all pores talk exactly like Jean-Ralphio Saperstein from Parks and Rec. Also what the hell are pores? I mean why are they so unattractive that we must banish them off of our face? I get t...

Feeling Lovely Thursday: My Angelic Look

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all feeling lovely this Thursday! I'm feeling a bit under the weather and tired, but I'm feelin a little better, So here is a look I did on Monday. Note: This is not a professional blog. The pictures are crappy, taken from my iphone in my dorm, but you know. I do what I can lol. Sooo lately I've been kind of obsessed with the "angel like" eye look. I guess because its the holidays and I have this long white flowy top that looks angely to me. Plus I like Snow Angels and the Victoria Secret Fashion Show will be on soon, so its just all very fitting. Anyhoo I'm going to talk about how to get a nice angelic eye look. This look is actually a little different than what I wanted to do. I was hoping to do a drugstore type one, but I actually left the palette I was going to use for that at home over break... so I used my Stila In The Light Palette, which I love and unfortunately just broke the mirror of. This isn't a totally un...

Feeling Lovely Tuesday- What I use for my hair.

Wahhhht? It's Feeling Lovely Tuesday and not Thursday??? Why is that? Well whoever reads this, it's because I have a Thursday class schedule today, and I thought I'd just do a feeling lovely tuesday since Thursday is Thankgiving. So this is sort of a "hair care routine" type thing. I wanted to do something different and actually include photos of the things I do or buy or whatever now, so I figured this is a useful way to start. It's probably just going to be phone pics cause I don't have my camera at school with me. I hope its somewhere in my room at home... I should look for that tomorrow. Anyhoo here are the things I use the most currently. So for shampoo I use a lot of different things but Lately my favorite has been the L'oreal Power Moisture Hydrating Shampoo and the conditioner as well. These are really great for me as I have dry hair. I haven't actually been using it that long, but it's enough to sort of start to feel a difference...

Feeling Lovely Thursday- Top products under $5.

This one is fun! Top Beauty products under $5! I would do 5 under 5 but I have soooo many more than that! Lets do this! Lips  EOS Lip Balm ($3.49) - Okay maybe lip balm isn't the best way to start cause all lip balms should be under $5 but there are so many that aren't I think its useful to know. I love the EOS lip balms cause they smell/taste really good, they're really moisturizing and the round shape that they come in makes it so easy to find in a purse! Love it!  Nivea Lip Butter (2.99) - Again these come in a lot of different flavors and they are super moisturizing. I love using these right before I go to sleep. The only ones I've tried are the macadamia one and the caramel kiss one. Both amazing, I think I like the Caramel Kiss slightly better though.  Nyx Butter Gloss (4.99) - These are the most amazing drugstore gloss ever. I think these are new, and they have a lot of colors but some of the colors are a little similar to others. I kind of hope th...

Feeling Lovely Thursday: Best Products Under $10

Sooo I'm kind of excited about this. I'm going to do another theme day for Thursday. I'm calling it "Feeling Lovely Thursday" because this will be where I talk about beauty, fashion, basically anything that makes me feel lovely. I have a tumblr for beauty blogging, but I feel like this is a better place to talk about that kind of stuff. Plus, I'll probably actually keep up with this day because I have some free time on Thursdays to blog and shiz. This one I'm pre- blogging though... so I guess that doesn't help much. Sooo I thought I would do a best products under $10 type of thing because a lot of people think make up is expensive and stuff, but it honestly doesn't have to be. I think of it as a total luxury, whether it is the most expensive fancy eyeshadow in the world, or eyeshadows that are like $4 at the drugstore. It's just something I buy because it makes me happy, not because I need it, which is why I love buying the more affordable t...
