My thoughts on the Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Katy Perry feud.

Dear Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Katy Perry: All 3 of you are awesome and talented people... I think you should just be grown ups and play nice with each other cause a collab with the 3 of you would be a great song. It would make a ton of money (maybe now you'll listen...) and it will be great. Sincerely, Shannon P.S- Katy Perry if you want an intern to read and edit your tweets for you before you send them out... I'm qualified and available! I have a degree in English from Rutgers and would be more than happy to correct your tweets! Okay so if you all (I really want to say y'all... but I'm from Jersey and that doesn't work.) don't know there's a bit of an argument which started off between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj and then Katy Perry weighed in indirectly about it and took Nicki's side more or less. Nicki's tweet  Nicki Minaj was snubbed for a VMA this year for Video of the Year with Anaconda. Nicki tweeted about this in a way tha...

Superbowl Scoop

I'm not much of a sports person... but I watch the superbowl... mostly for the ads... but the ads sucked this year and the game was pretty okay... soooo here's my little review about it. First off... Marshawn Lynch. He recently did a press conference in which he answered absolutely no questions and had a giant bowl of skittles on the table. It's just so funny that they kept asking questions and he said NOTHING! lol. Plus he had a giant thing of skittles that he was eating at the game. He's just a funny dude that is quite awesome. Other things we noticed: Number 75 on the Patriots looked like his uniform was a little snug. A few of the patriots looked like they had a bit of a snug uniform too. Maybe they cheated or something like that since that seems to be a thing they do. And I was "voting" for the Seahawks to win because Marshawn Lynch, plus they have pretty uniforms and as hot as Tom Brady is, he's a cry baby and I don't like him. Plus its Chr...

Stuff that happened this week 2/24-3/1

This is the news of the week that I thought was worthy of mentioning. 1) Harold Ramis of Ghostbusters dies at 69- This is really sad news. I haven't seen all of the original Ghostbusters, but from what I have seen... the guy is amazing and will be missed dearly. I think I'm going to watch Ghostbusters tonight to get on board with it. 2) Robin Thicke and Paula Patton separate- This is kind of sad but not surprising. I mean... yeah. I like the song Blurred Lines- I will admit. I don't find anything sexist about the lyrics... god knows there are incredibly sexist lyrics in most songs anyway. I believe he spoke out saying that the lyrics are supposed to be about rape... which is not okay. I think he was just saying that because he's kind of a has-been and needed some sort of controversy to boost his sales... and I think it worked unfortunately that is the society we live in. Anyhoo yeah... I don't think his wife could handle his new image and the fact that he seems ...

Female Singers and Why I Like Them

I don't know what it is, but lately I've been really REALLY loving female singers. When I was in high school I was more into bands like Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, and Panic At The Disco... And really the only two female singers I liked back then were Lady Gaga and Katy Perry... Who are still my favorites... But there are so many more that I like. Ohhh and Pink. I've been a big fan of Pink for a really long time. So while I love my favorite male bands and everything... There is something so empowering to me about listening to music from all female singers. If I buy one cd from a female artist, I will feel the need to get all of their CDs after that. My favorite female singers right now are Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lorde, Taylor Swift and I'm starting to really like Hayley Williams/Paramore. Ohh and I don't have their CDs, but Florence and the machine and Lana Del Rae are really quite good too. And I really want to get more into Beyoncé... Maybe even Rihanna. I...

Review Time- Prism by Katy Perry

Sooo I didn't totally know if I wanted this cd or not. I have Teenage Dream and One of The Boys (thats Katy's first cd name right?) And I liked them enough, so I decided to buy Prism also. I don't know what it is, but if I have the first cd -from a female artist particularly- I will go out and buy their other cds just to see how they grew and changed and it just inspires me and empowers me. Also my mom out of the blue mentioned that she really likes Katy Perry, so I thought I'd leave it in the car for her after I downloaded it. I wasn't expecting too much out of this album, I wasn't crazy about Roar and Katy Perry seems to be someone I get tired of easily... but honestly I love this cd! It really is inspirational to me, and Katy Perry is a pretty good artist to listen to if you want to be inspired. Firework, obviously is inspirational and a lot of her other songs are as well.  Not only that but this girl, I think has such a big heart and I think it reall...
