February Goals 2019

Okay... so today is February First and I did mention most of the fun stuff I did in January yesterday... but I'll talk a little more about January... but really focus on what I want to do in February. So I still want to read more and keep my room organized. I feel like it's been so difficult to do that because I did get sick in January... and that just put me behind... and some other stuff that I'm not really going to talk about but... it put me back a little too for reading and organizing my room. I did finish 1 book in January- Brittani Louise Taylor's A Sucky Love Story... and I started A Simple Favor... but I didn't get too far and I'm not really sure where I put it. Don't you hate that? Anyway... I'll clean my room- which is part 1 of the problem... and then I'll find it and read it lol. I also want to make a Valentine's Day card for my boyfriend. I don't know if we'll actual see each other on Valentine's Day itself... but th...

Missed the movie... but had some fun shopping.

Ugh I keep meaning to write first thing in the morning... and I just haven't been waking up that early. Normally I'm up pretty early... but I've been cleaning up my room late at night... and I was just kind of exhausted today... so that didn't happen. Another thing that didn't happen: Going to see Coco! My mom and I tried to get there early to see the 2:30 showing of Coco- but it was sold out when we went there! So we went shopping again... But to go shopping... we had to pass the Food Court... not usually a bad thing- but it smelled TERRIBLE. I don't know what it could have been... it was near a Bananas and a Green Leaf- which sometimes smell terrible... and there were a couple of new places in that food court... I'm not eating there again though because it just smelled HORRIBLE! We did get some Christmas sale deals at Hallmark, Disney Store and I got some $3 Wallflowers from Bath and Body Works. I also got some things from Forever 21... I usually kin...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.13.17

Sunday August 6th 2017   Today was kind of a chill day. I went out for dinner/ early lunch and to Starbucks with my parents… but that was about it. It was a nice day… just kind of chill. I don’t think I blogged… I think I watched some youtube videos and maybe I worked a little on my Instagram and Bullet Journal… but nothing big and it was just nice.   My brother in law took a cute picture of my niece on a bench that my dad was so excited to order and he ordered the picture… so we didn’t actually get it at Costco… but we are soon and that’s really fun. I slept in a little bit too. I mentioned last week that my parents were away on Friday and my dog missed them so he was up all night barking and then the next day I slept in… and I went to sleep pretty well on Saturday Night… but sleeping in on Sunday was good too… and I ended up staying up late at night and watching Coffeebreakwithdani’s vlogs… I don’t know why- I’ve been loving watching Vlogs where people are like ...

Today I... (8.11.17)

This is random... but I'm running out of things to write about... so let's talk about things in a more poetic way? I guess? Today I had a breakfast sandwich from Starbucks for Lunch. It was really yummy. Sausage Egg and Cheese... I love Breakfast food. Today I didn't feel great. It's my time of the month... and that is not fun at all. Today I had some Lindor chocolate... that is always a good thing. Today I filmed a video that I will eventually put on youtube. Today I also edited that video. Today I went to Target... that is always fun. Today I saw cute pictures of my baby niece. Today I talked to my sister about said cute niece. Today I ate Chicken Marsala. Yummy. Today I tried a charcoal sheet mask. I think my skin looks nice... but I don't think it's going to do anything for my blackheads... which is a little sad. Today I started reading the book Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernov. Today I listened to the song Alexander Hamilton for the f...

Journaling: The Best Thing Ever? Creativity, Writing Stuff!

So this is something I kind of love doing and I never really realized how much I really love just writing something down every day… whether it’s what happened to me during the day, my thoughts and feelings, how I felt during the day… what I’m going to do tomorrow… just little things like that.   Lately I haven’t really been writing a personal journal for myself. I keep a mood log in my bullet journal and I write what I’ve been doing my weekly wrap up on this blog… which I think of as kind of a journal formatted for the public… it’s nice… but I can’t really tell any personal stories when I do that and I like being a little bit more personal… so I think I’m going to make time for myself to just unwind and write a little bit about my day.   I had a loss in my family recently… which is very sad… but I was able to write down some memories and something that had a lot of meaning to me that is kind of hard to tell people   and it just feels really nice that I have that ...

June 2017 It List

Here are my favorites for June! Hope you guys like these! 1) Eucalyptus Mint Wallflower- I just finished writing my Monthly Favorites on my Beauty Blog and I totally forgot to mention this. I've been really feeling the aromatherapy stuff this month... as I have been pretty much since I've discovered it. It's been good to me. It made me sneeze when I first tried this... but now it's really nice and relaxing and I really love it. 2) Downward Dog- I must have missed a few episodes of this show... when I catch it and pay attention I like it... that doesn't always happen. It's a great tv show about a woman's relationship with her dog. We see everything that's going on in her room... but there is also a narrative from the dog. I think this is a great show... one of my favorites right now and... yeah I recommend checking it out! 3) Orange is The New Black- This season was REALLY amazing! It's probably my favorite season so far... I'll be going bac...

It List: April 2017

1) 13 Reasons Why- This has been my favorite show of the month I think... It was a really great binge. I was a little skeptical at first because it wasn't really all that subtle. It's predictable... there are a few surprises... but nothing that you can't really predict... it's a good show to watch on Netflix... I'm excited for more seasons... and I was even watching it a second time because I just liked it a lot. It's almost like a movie... which is cool. Brian D'arcy James and Kate Walsh are great... the rest of the cast is pretty good too... I just like it! 2) Unicorn Frap- This is the most unique drink Starbucks has had in a while. It's very flavorful... it's sweet then it gets sour... then sweet again then very sour... it's not for everyone... but I really liked it and it's probably a highlight of the month for me. 3) Sephora and Ulta Sales- I feel like I can't not mention the Sephora and Ulta sales that happened this month... bec...

Throwback Thursday: The Most Popular Girls In School

I'm really excited that I rediscovered this show. I was kind of not looking to watch this again... but I was writing something that had high school themes sort of in it with kind of a bitchy vibe... and I saw a post from Brittney Matthew's on International Woman's day... so I was just kind of like "Ohhh. I guess I could watch The Most Popular Girls in School again." And I did! It was a good throwback and a fun thing to watch. I had only seen the first season and a few episodes of season 2... but I hadn't finished the series at all... so I just thought it would be fun to finish it up and then I could do a little Throwback Thursday on it. Interestingly enough... The show isn't over yet! They're actually starting production on Season 5 recently! It's been a few years since Season 4. The first four seasons were largely crowd funded and the creators began their own production studio... so they've been trying to work on a larger scale future for ...

Scribbles About Youtube- Starkid's Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier

So this is something I think I'm going to do from time to time because it's something I've gained interest in again. Obviously, I've been loving musicals and I love that there is the option of watching funny musicals based on things I have an interest in for the most part right on youtube! Not on Youtube Red Even... which I hope they continue.  This is one I've wanted to see for a while... but for some reason just haven't. It's sort of like Wicked... but with the characters from Aladdin. It's Jafar's real story in Aladdin and why he is a good guy, but the story just got told wrong. And it all kind of adds up. I thought that it would be a little like something that wouldn't really add up... but I've seen Aladdin several times, and pretty recently... and it all makes sense and fits in with the story of Aladdin and other Arabian mythology that Aladdin was based off of. I thought it was just very well done.  And it's very funny... but ...

It List: September 2016

1) The Pumpkin Spice Latte- My favorite thing of the season: The PSL! And really pumpkin anything... I really like Pumpkin! This is one of my favorite drinks from starbucks. I think its nice and sweet and pumpkin-y... I just really like it! I've had the Pumpkin Spice Frap and thats good... I don't always get that cause usually I like the Hot Latte best... but its been really hot here lately... and I just think this is a good one and it is a constant fall it list favorite... so yeah. Of corse this is on here! 2) American Horror Story- This is a little early to put on the It List... but I really liked the premiere and I think its going to be an interesting season. I like the way that they're telling the story... I have a review on it  here . I'm not scared by it yet... but I'm excited to see what happens. I'm even more excited for Scream Queens! 3) Sisters- I felt the need to include this movie because I've watched it twice already and I feel like I could ...

Weekly Wrap Up: 8.21.16

Favorites  See Ya Reel Soon- This is my favorite vlog channel. They do disney Vlogs and they're just really fun to watch. They did a special episode this week announcing that they are expecting! That's exciting! I'm excited to see how their channel changes because they'll have a little one!  Alex and Ani Jewelry- I've been wearing a lot of Alex and Ani Jewelry this week. I went to the store a little while ago. I love it... so I'll keep wearing Alex and Ani stuff... just cause I like it. It goes with anything and its pretty and unique. I know everyone has them... but pairing different symbols is cool and I like it. I love my Lotus necklace and I have some rings from them. It's fun!  Snyders of Hannover Smores Pretzels- I'm a sucker for all things smores... these might be my favorite smores thing. Its just soooo yummy and good. I'm a fan of them! Really really yummy.  Life Scribbles  On Monday I think I got tacos with my mom... and we ...

Shannon Goes Viral: Sausage Party, Taking The Plunge and Pranks.

So... I just watched the first 2 videos one after the other... and Idk what to even think! Sausage Party Trailer  Alright this is an adult cartoon that really makes you think its going to be a kids movie until it says the F word... and it looks very funny... but it absolutely horrified me. I think it looks funny and it looks like its going to be a great movie... but I'm recovering from the trailer... So it starts off with a bunch of food happy to be taken home out of the grocery store. The Seth Rogen Sausage is in love with a girl bun and they say "Its like we belong together' and its really cute and they play happy music. And the food keeps saying that they've been chosen for a greater good and... its weird. It sounds a little cult-y... so when you see them in the kitchen... you sorta know whats going to happen... but I still wasn't emotionally prepared for the part where the woman peels the skin off of the potato! Its just kind of brutal, and then the baby c...

Shannon Goes Viral: Inside out- Outside Edition

So a video a film student made of the movie Inside out surfaced because it was an edited version that didn't show the parts with the emotions, it only showed the parts with Riley and her family... so that is kind of cool. I was expecting to really love this edition and to cry a lot from it because the parts with Riley and her parents were really what moved me while watching the movie and thats what I connected with, thats what made me cry. I didn't cry at the part with Bing Bong because that was a little obvious to me... but the part where Riley finally told her parents how she was feeling really made me cry. And then they hugged her and that's what really I thought was the heartwarming part of the movie that made me cry harder than any other movie... Oddly enough, while watching this version, I didn't cry. I wasn't that emotionally connected to it either... and frankly... I was a little bit bored. I feel like the parts where we see her emotions and we know why ...

Shannon Goes Viral: Patti Labelle Pie, Cute Dogs Playing Piano

So... running out of ideas... but I've seen some viral videos... so why not. Patti Labelle Pie  So on youtube this guy went to Wall Mart and got Patti Labelle's sweet potato pie. And he was excited to eat it because Patti Labelle is awesome. So he tried some of it, and started singing and he was amazing. He said the pie will turn you into Patti Labelle (I think this guy was already had the talent.) So this pie has since sold out, been on amazon for lots and lots of money and Patti Labelle invited him to have Thanksgiving with her... and of corse... he joined her for Thanksgiving! Its all a happy story! I'm glad this Patti Labelle comeback had a better ending than her cameo on AHS... lol. Because this had such a nice ending 10 out of 10 Patti Labelle pies!  Also we have one of her cookbooks. Cute Dogs Playing Piano  My sister showed me this video of 2 adorable fluffy dogs playing piano. And they do a pretty good job, they just kind of paw 2 keys and it looked l...

Shannon Goes Viral: Pizza Rat, Broad City Sketch and More

Haven't done one of these in a while... but after Pizza Rat... this seemed necessary. Pizza Rat- I'm sure everyone is tired of this by now but... Pizza Rat. So this rat on the subway just grabbed a whole pizza and just went for it. He didn't succeed... which is a downfall. I would have loved to watch the little guy eat that entire slice of pizza. This has raised some health concerns for the subway system... for obvious reasons... but I feel like it should be made into a motivational poster. If that rat can make it that far with the entire slice of Pizza, you can make it pretty far in life to. Farther than even a hungry subway rat! I give  this  video 4 out of 5 pepperoni's... cause really it is kinda sad he didn't get it. It's like Rocky losing or something... it's just disappointing. Broad City Sketch- So the ladies of Broad City made a brilliant sketch about the struggles of fasting for Yom Kippur and it was pretty much the funniest thing I've se...

Weekly Favorites+ What I Watched This Week 8/30/15

I feel like the weekly favorites for this week are a bit weird and random... so yeah. Nerd Therapy on Youtube- I recently started collecting Funko Pop figures and I love them, its really fun to pick them up and overall they just make me really happy. I kind of wanted to know more about Funkos so I looked up "Funko Pop" on youtube and found this channel with this couple that collects Funkos and other nerdy things and they'll do Funko Hauls, unboxing of different nerdy subscription boxes, vlogs where they hunt funko pop figures... and just overall cool stuff. And reviews of Funkos which is cool. Really fun and easy to watch and get hooked. If you love Funko Pop figures, you will probably love their channel and yeah. Its just cool to know whats out there. Serial- I've started listening to Season 1 of Serial again. I may write a book slightly inspired by it even because... idk I find it fascinating that Adnan is probably going to get off, which he honestly should, but...

Scribbles About Tv: The Grace Helbig Show Review

So here's something I was pretty excited about! GraceHelbig from youtube now has a talk show on E! I love Grace, I haven't watched her videos in such a long time... but when I heard she had a movie out recently and a book and a talk show now, I got excited. She's a genuinely talented person and she's really funny and seems nice and down to earth. Plus She's a Jersey Girl, which always makes me really happy. So the show is kind of like a normal show, and also kind of not that normal. She describes it as an Introvert's talk show. There is no studio audience its filmed in a little house... idk if its a real house or a set that looks like a house, but I think thats cool. I'm pretty much an introvert myself, so I like that about it. It also seems like she has some sketches and characters too. It reminds me a little of Comedy Bang Bang. If you like CBB and you like Jimmy Fallon and you like sort of an awkward shy sense of humor than I think you'll really lik...

Shannon Goes Viral: WTF Did I Just See Edition.

There is a new meme going around that I like a lot because... its one of those videos that you watch and then you go... "What the f*ck did I just watch!" Which happen to be some of my favorite videos... so here is an array of favorites that will make you wonder what you watch lol. 1) Too Many Cooks- I've watched this twice already and I feel like I'm in an insane asylum. I've had the song stuck in my head all day. I was singing it to my dog... This is just the weirdest thing that exists... but you should watch it because it does exist. 2) Ahhh The Scalene Triangle- I take that back... this is the oddest thing that exists... don't watch this video in public and don't watch it if you're under the age of 13... Ahhh the Scalene Triangle... It escalates quickly... lol. 3) He Man singing What's Goin On- This is why the internet exists. To take He Man and make him a pop star. It is probably one of the best things on the internet. You can watch it fo...

Shannon Goes Viral: Halloween Edition 2014!

It is time to go viral... but this time I'm going a little more scary viral with HALLOWEEN VIDEOS! Its not gonna be that scary... actually it might be. 1) Disney Villains "Counting Scars"- This is cute. It was a bunch of people dressed as the Disney villains doing a parody of One Republic's "Counting Stars." It was cute the villains were well-acted and I thought the scar part at the end was great. It was funny. 2) Men try on Women's Halloween Costumes- This is probably the sexiest video on the internet. Buzzfeed got a group of men to dress up in the "sexy" women's costumes. These costumes include, Sexy Ladybug, Sexy Firefighter and Sexy Girl Scout. It was really funny... the costumes are ridiculous for women, but for men they look even more ridiculous. Also the guys were hot and seeing them in the "sexy costumes" was oddly hot, in my opinion at least. Fun to watch! 3) Thriller sung in 20 different styles- So this guy named...

Shannon Goes Viral!- Fighting Kangaroos, Cheez-Its no longer allowed, Better call Saul, &More

1) Fighting Kangaroos set to Classical Music- This is adorable and hilarious. It's everything that it says. It's kangaroos that are fighting and someone put perfectly timed classical music in the background of it. It's simple, its funny, its adorable, its awesome. This years "Two Angry Camels in A Tiny Car!" 10 out of 10 Baby Kangaroo Tribianni's!  2) Cryptic Cheez-its message-   What? What incident? What damage can a Cheez it do? Why should I cooperate with this message? I feel like if I missed school on November 14th I would totally wonder what happened. Also this raises a lot more questions than it answers. Can you still bring Cheese Nips to class? What about other cheese flavored things? Is this like the town in footloose but for cheese? Can we do a musical called Cheeseloose? Or Cheezloose? Idk guys... idk. But there's something funny about a cryptic sign that makes no sense and claims that there was an "incident" but yeah. 7 out of 1...
