10 Valentine's Day Movies To Watch

I thought this might be kind of a fun thing to do. Since it's Valentine's Day soon... I thought I'd pick 10 movies for Valentines Day viewing. This could be with your significant other... or just by yourself so that you can believe in love or something. These are fun movies! 1) Serendipity- I watch this movie almost every time I see it on tv. It's a fun movie and honestly one of my favorite NYC movies. It doesn't really show anything too interesting about the city... but Serendipity is a very popular restaurant in the city that I've been too a few times... and it's okay. The dessert is the really fun part but the rest isn't bad. Anyway this is about a woman who believes very strongly in fate and she meets a man one time in NYC as a chance encounter... and she does already have a boyfriend- but she thinks maybe they're fated to be together... so she tries to meet up with him before she goes back home... but it doesn't work out... so then years l...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 13: Couple Costumes and Sexy Lobsters Have Ruined Halloween

I wrote this blog last year on November First... I'm not bitter about being single or not wearing sexy costumes... Its just a commentary meant to be taken lightly.  Alrighty so this isn't really a rant... its just kind of a theory that couples have decided to take every holiday and make it their own and then single people are here like "Okay, we get it. You're happy. Can you leave us alone now? KThanks." And now they've ruined halloween. Maybe this is just me being old but still not grown up enough to be in a real relationship... but seriously go to a bar on Halloween. There are like 10 Harley Quinns, 6 sexy lobsters, 3 Maleficents, one sexy minotaur and then the rest are all couples. If you find a character you're attracted to like Han Solo, you'll look around and find a Princess Leia right behind him! And they're always RIGHT by them, you know why?  So they don't run off with a sexy lobster! Its a way to trick a guy into thinking that y...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 12: My Zombie Apocalypse Team

Its Halloween... and after watching The Walking Dead Last week I thought "hey... maybe I should come up with a Zombie Apocalypse Team... just in case." These are mostly just people I kind of want to meet... so yeah. 1) Alexander Hamilton- Obviously, the first person I would want on my Zombie Apocalypse team would be Alexander Hamilton... because he's Alexander Hamilton. He gets shit done! If you listen to any of the songs in Hamilton, you realize he's a total badass. He's smart enough to get his way out of pretty much any situation... but also knows how to fight. I feel like he could survive the Zombie Apocalypse on his own. 2) The Goddess Athena- I'm pretty sure there's no rule against choosing a god or goddess on your zombie apocalypse team... so OBVIOUSLY you go with the goddess of war. That just makes sense. I'm sure a lot of the powers of the zombie apocalypse should be about muscle... I'm going with brains and strategy though... cause I t...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 11: The Time I dressed up as Donald Trump for Halloween in 2004

So not too long before Donald Trump was into politics, he hosted my favorite reality tv show, The Apprentice. And I decided it would be funny to dress as him for halloween... and it is a horrible mistake I would not make or allow any kids to make... because it was the weirdest trick or treating experience I've ever had. Keep in mind... this was wayyy before anyone thought that Trump would ever be a politician... but it was ironically enough Politics that made this costume so weird. It was in 2004, which was right before the election between George W. Bush and John Kerry... both, which I didn't realize, were popular costumes that year... and everyone asked me "Which candidate are you" and the people with the Kerry signs kept saying "Well as long as you aren't going as George Bush!" And that made me uncomfortable. I was in 7th grade... I didn't know about real politics! I didn't even live through that many presidents... so there really is no sens...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 10: Top 5 Halloween Movies for Everyone

This is going to be a fun one! Here are my favorites for Halloween... These are the movies I've watched since I was a kid, family friendly movies that you can watch on the 13 Nights of Halloween and places like that... so yeah I'm going to just start off with those. This changes all the time... but there is one that I would say is consistently one of my favorite movies anytime I see it during the year. There are TONS of halloween movies that I love... but these are my can't miss ones. 5) Beetlejuice- Haven't seen this yet this year... but I love this movie! There was a restaurant I went to that has since closed down (and coincidentally, is now my favorite restaurant) and there was a woman that worked there that reminded me of the woman at the desk... and that whole restaurant just ran like Limbo from Beetlejuice. It was kind of funny. I love the campyness of it all and I wish they still made campy movies like this. Really great movie! 4) Nightmare Before Christmas T...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 9: Halloween TV Episodes so far

So I think pretty much all the shows are done with their Halloween Episodes... and I watched some of them... so I'll talk about those a little. First off I'm going to talk about the scariest mini series on TV... they've been airing it pretty much over the month. Anderson Cooper was a guest star... Its called The Presidential Debates. Just kidding! Kind of... lol. The Middle  I know I watched this one... I totally don't remember what happened. I don't think it was that halloween-y... I remember the religious haunted house and the kids said that they'd rather live with their dad if Frankie and Mike got divorced... but I don't remember much else that happened. I really liked last years episode...and this one just wasn't as good. Fresh Off The Boat- This was a good episode too... again I liked last years episode better I think... but I liked how they showed Luis is so into Halloween and Jessica is not. I liked the episode and the halloween party. It w...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 8: Scribbles about TV: Spoiler Heavy The Walking Dead Recap from someone who hasn't seen the Walking Dead since about the third episode of Season 2.

Alright... there's some huge graphically violent thing that happens on the Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere that disgusted all of my Facebook friends and made them cry... so naturally I had to watch it with very little context of what's happening. I'm going to give a beat by beat summary during commercial breaks... but keep in mind, I don't know anything about the characters names or the show, so it is pretty unreliable, ill informed and meant for comedy. So it starts out with Denny from Greys Anatomy talking to Rick and the Gang. Rick has blood on his face, and it appears that John Winchester just killed one of Ricks buddies. He keeps talking about a right hand man and someone named Simon... and he says "do you have a right hand man or was it." And then you see Denny's club with blood on it and Rick's bloody forehead. Then Denny brings Rick into a trailer. Opening credits/ commercial. Rick is in Denny's death trailer and he's mocking...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 7:30 Spooky Halloween Questions Tag

I found this tag  here    1. Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song? Thats really tough... There are too many great halloween songs. The Monster Mash, The Time Warp,  and Werewolves of London are probably my favorites. I think if I had to pick one The Time Warp is the best song of those... but I love Monster Mash... and I hear the song Werewolves of London ALL THE TIME! Ohhh and of corse The Werewolf Barmitzvah! Ohhh and The X Files Music... and just spooky halloween sounds. 2. Name something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark forest or in an abandoned building. A clown. I'm not afraid of clowns... but really thats the one thing I wouldn't really want popping out at me and scaring me. I don't think I can outrun a zombie, werewolf or vampire... but I think I would be okay being turned into one of those monsters. I've accepted it. And I think I'd be good at it. I think it'd be kind of fun!  3. Have you ever played with a Ouija Board? Not a r...

13 nights of Blogoween Day 2:Throwback Thursday: The Tower of Terror

So I was really really really really excited to find The Tower of Terror on DVD at Target. I've told the story before when I first got it, I've been wanting it ever since I went on the ride which was in 2009... so its been a while. I had always remembered it as my favorite Disney Channel Movie and I couldn't believe they didn't play it any more and that I couldn't find it anywhere! That all being said... I'm still very much attached to this movie. I still love it, but that love is just nostalgia... if you read too much into this movie you won't like it... and that's kind of how I was watching it. It was really weird because its sort of like "Yes! I have a fondness for this movie" But at the same time... I know its a terrible movie and there are so many flaws with it... so this isn't really going to be a positive review of the actual movie... but I'll mention why I still love it anyway at the end...cause basically I'm going to rip ...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 1: Quick Thoughts on Every Horror Movie I can Remember

I thought this would be kind of fun to do for halloween. I haven't seen a lot of the popular horror movies... but I've seen a few, so I thought I'd post a little about horror movies and thrillers that I remember seeing and liking. So yeah! The House on Haunted Hill (remake)  Fun fact: This was the first R rated movie I ever saw all of. It's a pretty scary one too... if I remember right, only 2 people survive... there's a lot of other weird stuff that makes it R rated that sort of went over my head as a kid... so this isn't exactly the best first r rated movie to watch... but it is a little more exciting than it is scary. I remember it feeling more adventurous than anything. I think I saw one part a few years ago and it was weird... so idk about this one... might try re-watching it for a throwback thursday though! The Sixth Sense  Remember when M. Night Shamylan could do no wrong? Those were the days. My parents guessed the ending of this right away without...

THIS IS HALLOWEEN! AGHHH I'M EXCITED!

Idk why this year, but I am in such a Halloween mood. I mean I usually am in Haloween Mode, especially around Halloween (yep I'm halloween mode all year! lol) Anyhoo I just figured I'd list some things that you should do around halloween... that it's probably too late for you to do now, because I just made this blog a few days before halloween... oh well. Some are general fall things. 1) Going to Fright Fest- Six Flags is just a fun place, and Fright Fest is just the most fun. They have the terror trails which are all like different themed haunted places... and I've walked through all of them. And gotten pretty scared in most of them. Idk if its different at different six flags, but I'll just talk about the ones at my six flags cause I feel like talking a lot and it seems worth mentioning. They have an Asylum, a haunted Manor, a Vodoo Island, something called wasteland which is like a post apocalyptic plant type world, and theres something called total Darkness wh...
