I'm so excited to do this review on the second movie in the new Star Wars Trilogy. I really loved The Force Awakens and while I don't think this movie is quite as fun as The Force Awakens... it's still a really great movie. There were a lot of awesome twists and the ending was just kind of mind-blowing in its awesomeness... so I really really loved it! So while I did love this movie... it did start out very, very slow. This is a problem I have with most of the Star Wars movies... I think that's why I like Return of The Jedi so much because that gets to the point right away... but this definitely started very slow. There was a lot of action in it... there was a little bit of humor... there but it was mostly just racing, blowing stuff up... and that sort of thing. It wasn't bad... just not my thing and a little bit on the slower side. I think in the new movies- my favorite parts have been when Finn first appears in the movie. So I finally FINALLY saw the newest star wars movie... and it was awesome. I thought everyone was great. I think John Boyega could have been nominated for an Oscar for it. I know theres a lot of controversy about the Oscars... but honestly I thought The Force Awakens could have been nominated for SOMETHING more than just technical categories and his character made me most excited I think. It was great to see everyone else... but immediately from the get-go I connected with him and I thought he brought the heart to the movie and he was just really amazing. He wins a Shanny Award. Lol. None of the nominees sound appealing to me this year. I think Spotlight sounds the most interesting... but I don't think it'll win a Shanny. Lol. I totally love that I just made an awards named after myself. But I think he deserves it. I love him. I also loved Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, and Lupita Nyongo as well.
