Chart Chat 1/9/16

10) Assassin's Creed- This is a pretty popular video game... I feel like these Video Game Movies just don't do as well as they're expected to do in the US at least. If I cared about the storyline, I would just play the game. I wouldn't mind seeing a Kingdom Hearts Videogame. That seems interesting, but yeah. No interest in this movie... not even going to pretend to it... but yeah. 9) Fences- I kind of want to see this movie because Denzel is amazing, Viola Davis is amazing, and I actually like this play a lot. I read it in High School. I can't really remember what it's about... but I remember seeing where it would be a very moving play and kind of a hard one to watch. James Earl Jones was in it for a while I think. Denzel and Viola Davis have both been it on Broadway... it just looked good. I'm a little surprised it's doing so well. It's been getting rave reviews... but Viola Davis did say that it is a gamble to make money on a movie based on a sta...

Blogmas Day 3: Scribbles About Movies: Moana Review

Allright... I guess this isn't particularly Christmasy... but it is out during the holidays and it would be fun to see around Christmas with family in town and everything and if you're looking for gift ideas, the Moana toys would be really good ones because this movie was great and I think it's a really fun one to see. It took a little bit long to kinda get started. We knew the basic plot line of why Moana has to leave the Island and find Maui from the very beginning, it pretty much opens with that part in the trailer where Moana's grandmother is telling the story of Maui and Moana is a little kid and she's so excited to see him. And then we see that the ocean choses Moana when she is young and the scene is one of the most beautifully animated scenes in any movie ever... and I would highly encourage seeing this movie because its just so beautiful! See it in theaters if you can because it just makes you feel like you're in Hawaii. It is really really a beauti...

Blogmas Day 5: Shannon Watches Older Movies- Christmas Edition.

So this seemed like fun. I'm going to re-watch some holiday classics and report right back here! Alright! Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer  So this one is still one of my favorites... but can we talk about what a jerk Santa is in this? He's so mean to Rudolph as a baby!!! He's like "hey your nose is different, you can't be on my team." And then to the elves he's like "hey you guys suck. That song is awful." And then when Rudolph runs away and his parents are missing he's like "hey why did you do that? I need your dad to run my sleigh and now he's off looking for you!" Maybe if you didn't make fun of Rudolph's nose he would't have run away! But I do love the message: It's okay to be different! You don't need to be like everyone else, just be yourself! That's the best you can be. Also Yukon Cornelius is probably my favorite character, its weird that Herbie takes out the Bumble's teeth, and I would ...

Chart Chat: 11/30/15

Lets see what songs and movies people talked about at Thanksgiving Dinner and maybe saw this weekend. Music  5) Confident by Demi Lovato- This song is awesome. I was trying on bridesmaid dresses and then this song came on and I was like "Yassss" and my sister was like "I still like the other one better" lol. That story should be coming up soon. I feel a little old liking Demi Lovato... but she's awesome. I like her a lot now. 4) Hotline Bling   by Drake- Not a fan. I've talked about this on chart chats before... but it just isn't something I'd download or listen to... ever. Lol. Drake has a different sort of vibe. He isn't really a rapper... but he isn't really a singer either. I like when they do the Adele mashups of this though. Adele even thinks its funny... so thats awesome. 3) Love Yourself by Justin Bieber- I haven't heard this song yet and don't really want to click on the sample right now cause I want to write this in ...

Holiday Chit Chat: Movies, Holiday Specials, Things I'd like to watch and a podcast!

So this isn't really a scribble about movies or anything like that... but there are some holiday movies that I've been watching, some new holiday specials and even a podcast or 2 that I've really been liking so I thought I'd include that here too... just cause! First off: Night At The Museum. I liked this movie when I first saw it, but I didn't think it was anything worth watching a bunch of times or anything like that... but its been on FX a few times this week and I've really really been enjoying it! I think the cast is absolutely brilliant. I love that its fun to watch, but you do sort of learn something and I really enjoy the character arc of Ben Stiller's character Larry. I just think its such an interesting little series. I liked both of the movies, which doesn't happen that often. I'm really excited to see the third one now and... yeah. I want to go to the Natural History Museum now. I've been to the Smithsonian... which is odd cause I...
