Hello everyone! Happy Blogmas! I know my 13 Days of AHS did not pan out as expected... but this year I would really like to do all 25 days of Blogmas... I already wrote my blogs for the next 3 days... we have some more movie reviews... but I decided to start on the most recent movie released and the one that is definitely the best out of all the movies: Illumination Studios The Grinch. So I'm a pretty big fan of Illumination to begin with. I feel like they're a little underrated... Compared to studios like Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks which have been around for years... Illumination is newer and it hasn't had as many hits. I love Despicable Me, I love Sing... I've never seen Secret Life of Pets or The Lorax... but still. They have good stuff. I think this movie is the most impressive animation that the Studio has done. Whoville looked really magical and christmasy... the characters were all super super cute... Cindy Lou Who and her friends were adorable and I cried ...

Alright! Hope you guys are liking Toy Story Tuesday so far! This is the movie I feel like I watch the least out of all 3 movies... but it's still pretty important to shaping what Pixar is known for and it's just a great movie that I feel like I overlook too often. Okay so Toy Story 2... I'd say the funniest of the 3 Toy Story movies... this also seemed like the most adventurous of all the Toy Story Movies. I think the funny thing about these movies is that the Toys are on this HUGE adventure and in reality they are usually only a few minutes away from their home. I don't think Sunnyside was that far, Sid was just RIGHT next door to Andy and Al's Toy Barn isn't too far either... but with this one they also go to the airport and the stakes are pretty high because they're going to Japan. So... the most memorable part of Toy Story 2... the part that will kind of stick with you no matter what is the part where you learn Jessie was abandoned by her kid "E...

Alrighty! I saw the number one movie of the week this week... and I have thoughts of the other movies... so I'm excited to share this Chart Chat with everyone! 10) Pirates of The Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales- 6 weeks on the top 10 list... not too bad for the end of the series... presumably. I think Johnny Depp has a lot of fun with these movies, and they're doing really well... so I'd be a little surprised if this was the end of these. I don't think this is the highest grossing POTC... but I'm guessing it'll still do really great worldwide. 9) The Mummy- 74.5 million in the US so far and it's 4th week on the charts... not great considering the budget of the movie was 125 million. It'll do really well worldwide... and I think that's how the rest of the Universal Dark Universe will be... unless they strike gold with The Invisible Man... which I could see happening and I kind of hope it does. I'd be more excited if they kind of embraced the...

So this isn't quite as much of a Throwback... and I actually watched it more than once recently... so yeah. Hopefully this is still kind of helpful. When I first saw this movie I kind of liked it... kind of didn't think it was worth the hype... watched it a second time recently and I liked it a lot better and then I watched it a few more times... and I actually kind of love it. It isn't my favorite Disney Movie or animated movie... Obviously the Despicable Me and Minion movies are my favorites. I also really like Tangled, which I reviewed last week. Lilo and Stitch is kind of a favorite... there are just a lot of movies that are better than Frozen... so when Frozen sort of became this huge thing I was like "Meh..." I also never liked that there's this great love song at the beginning of the movie called "Love Is An Open Door" and it's for the bad guy... that's kind of terrible. I just didn't like that at all. So this isn't much of a throwback... but I haven't seen it in a while... so Throwback Thursday! This is one of my favorite movies... definitely from Disney possibly in my Top 30 movies I'd say... maybe a little higher than that. I'm not sure why... but I feel like I'm not unlike Rapunzel. I used to always have long tangly hair, and now I cut it short... but also personality wise... idk why, I just connect with her more than any of the other princesses. She's smart and sassy, but still doesn't totally believe in herself, but she befriends and loves everyone she meets.... I feel like I'm like that. Maybe that's being to positive... but not really because of the whole "doesn't believe in herself thing." I dunno. Not trying to toot my own horn... but I'm Rapunzel. Lol. This was quickly added to my list for Throwback Thursday when I saw it on Netflix. I loved this movie and the TV show as a kid, but you always need to know how it holds up... and it held up really well. The actual plot of this movie is really good... but I always really like the animation of it. I don't really know why, I think the colors and like the effects of Poultra are really cool. It isn't overly cutesy but its really just fun to watch because of the way it is animated. Another reason I love this movie is that when I went to Universal as a kid I went to Nickelodeon Studios (Of corse) I really really wanted to get slimed and my dad was a participant in a Jimmy Neutron game! They had him wear a helmet that looked like Jimmy's hair and he dressed like him... it was really really funny. And my Dad had fun with it and he was a good sport about it... although I have to say back when we went there wasn't a whole lot to do at Universal and it was all simulator rides.....

Allright... I guess this isn't particularly Christmasy... but it is out during the holidays and it would be fun to see around Christmas with family in town and everything and if you're looking for gift ideas, the Moana toys would be really good ones because this movie was great and I think it's a really fun one to see. It took a little bit long to kinda get started. We knew the basic plot line of why Moana has to leave the Island and find Maui from the very beginning, it pretty much opens with that part in the trailer where Moana's grandmother is telling the story of Maui and Moana is a little kid and she's so excited to see him. And then we see that the ocean choses Moana when she is young and the scene is one of the most beautifully animated scenes in any movie ever... and I would highly encourage seeing this movie because its just so beautiful! See it in theaters if you can because it just makes you feel like you're in Hawaii. It is really really a beauti...

So I wasn't really planning on doing this... but EVERYONE is talking about the new teaser for Cars 3... and I needed to do this after watching the  teaser . Slight warning: This teaser involves a Car Wreck where the car spins around and looks pretty bad. If you have children... maybe wait until the official trailer comes out, I was a sensitive kid, this would have made me cry. Also if you are an adult that has been in a car accident... this could be kind of triggering. People get PTSD after being in bad car wrecks... this could easily trigger something in a lot of adults too... it is a little hard to watch. Cars are scary. I'm guessing they are showing this before Moana and maybe Rouge One... Just be careful if you are going to see any movies in the near future. If you see animated cars, it might be a good time to look away or leave the theater for about a minute. So yes... this starts out normal. All the cars are racing, it looks like its rainy out, Lightening McQueen take...

I'm a little late to the game on this one... but its a Pixar Movie! I can't just not see a Pixar Movie (except I've never seen Cars 2) so I had to see this one! I had already kind of known a lot about the movie that you aren't supposed to know when seeing it... but I didn't think it was that big of a deal and I didn't like the movie any less knowing the big secret. That is of corse the Bing Bong reveal which was very well done and beautifully written, even if you did know what he was to Riley. I don't want to reveal any spoilers, but online everyone was like "Why Bing Bong was kept under wraps" and stuff like that... to me it really wasn't. I saw Bing Bong while looking for Inside Out Toys, and You can guess what role he plays in the movie by A) Knowing the plot of the movie and B) Seeing what he looks like. And thats brilliant in and of itself. When you see a mysterious character and you know exactly what its supposed to be without question,...
