Scribbles About News: Erin Hayes Fired from Kevin Can Wait, Colourpop Comes To Sephora, and More

Sooo I have a lot of news related stories that I have kind of strong opinions on right now... so I wanted to kind of talk about them. Let's start with the one thing that has just been upsetting me so much this week... and that is that Erin Hayes was fired from Kevin Can Wait and is going to be replaced with Leah Remini. Reps from the show said that this was not based off of Hayes' performance... they just wanted to add Lea Remini to the show and they couldn't afford to have both her and Erin Hayes on. Erin Hayes said that she was shocked and sad about being fired... but has no resentment towards the cast and crew of Kevin Can Wait... she had a fun time with it and she was very mature. They also said that they are not trying to re-create The King of Queens by adding Remini to the show. Kevin Can Wait is still it's own thing... they're just re-tooling it... and they just happen to be keeping all of the people from The King of Queens on the show. Ohhh and how are t...

Scribbles About News- June 10th 2017

So I thought I'd try to bring this little blog series back because... why not! There's a lot of news right now that I'm just not a fan of... I'm watching the CBS Morning News right now... which I love... but they're on extra because of the Comey investigation... and I don't really want to watch that. This also might not just be "News" but it might include some things that I've learned this week or discovered... if that's anything so... we'll see what happens. I will promise not to talk about anything majorly political. If something like Covfefe happens again... I'll probably talk about that... but the point of this post is to get away from all of that... so that's what I'll be doing! 1) Urban Decay Announces Naked Heat Palette- I guess I'll start out with some Beauty news... the Naked Heat Palette from Urban Decay. This is a warm- toned palette... that to me... looks exactly like the Sweet Peach Palette... but I guess it...

Scribbles About TV: Tv News: What got cancelled?

I feel like A LOT of shows were cancelled this year... and I actually did a lot of reviews on them... at the beginning of the TV season I was all set to watch EVERY PREMIERE and review each show... whether I had seen it or not... but that was extremely difficult. I did end up watching at least one episode of a lot of shows though... so that was good too I guess. I have some insight into these shows!  I'll also talk about what got renewed next week maybe because... why not? ABC  Abc had the most casualties so let's start there  American Crime - This won ABC multiple Emmy's and got rave reviews since season 1... but the ratings weren't as amazing. I didn't really like how season 1 ended at all... there was no real closure... all of the characters were kind of bad people... and it was just really hard to watch so while I did watch the whole first season... it wasn't that enjoyable. I heard season 2 was better (from my sister) and Season 3 got a lot of cri...

Stuff That Happened This Week (6/29/14-7/5/14)

Note: This is a Scribbles about news from Last Year that I never ended up posting... but I saved it, so I thought why not post it now. This news is outdated... but I had nothing to post today and I thought since this was from last year in this same week... why not post it now.  1) Yahoo picks up Community for Season 6- Guess we will be getting 6 seasons and probably a movie after all! I was really happy about this news obviously. I think its funny that its on Yahoo because I always make fun of my sister for using Yahoo instead of google... but because of this I'm probably going to be paying a little bit more attention to yahoo also. I realize this is a google blog and I'm not going to give up google or anything... but I'll watch Community for SURE! Lol. I'm excited about this. I hope Kugler, Mitch Hurwitz's character returns and yeah. I love it! 2) Better Call Saul has a different timeline than expected- So apparently Better Call Saul will not just be about how...

Scribbles About News- Beginning of April 2015

1)  Trevor Noah picked as New Host for The Daily Show-  I feel like this is an early announcement and a surprise choice I guess. Trevor Noah who is a 31 year old comedian from South Africa is going to host the Daily Show after Jon Stewart leaves. I guess it isn't really all that surprising, even though he's only been on the show since December. 2 correspondents just left recently. Kristin Schaal would have been my pick, but she has Last Man on Earth and Bob's Burgers... so yeah. I think I've seen him before and he's good. Also pretty cute... so that is a plus. I don't know if he can really replace Jon Stewart... but he isn't replacing him, just taking over the role. 2) Nick Offerman and Megan Mullaley cancel show in Indiana- Because of Indiana's stupid new hate law, Nick Offerman and his wife cancel their upcoming show there. I love Nick Offerman and Megan Mullaley and I have a ton of respect for them for canceling this show because of this stupid st...

Scribbles About News: End of March 2015

1) Man Kicked off Flight for wearing an offensive t shirt- You can see the buzzfeed article about this right  here  a man was wearing a shirt that said "Broad F-ng City" on it while going home from South By Southwest. Comedy Central was giving away the t-shirts and yeah. So he wore it on the flight and the flight attendant asked to remove it and he didn't want to. He claimed freedom of speech and stuff like that and left the flight because they told him he had to turn it inside out, change t shirts or wear a jacket and he refused. I'm all for freedom of speech... especially if it has to do with Broad City... but I felt bad for the flight attendant. He was kind of rude to the flight attendant and it wasn't his fault. I'm sure he knew it wasn't his fault... and he left respectfully... but I understand not wearing bad words in public places. Idk. I just wouldn't have wanted to be that security guard and he seemed kind of rude... idk. Its just something ...

Scribbles About News: March 23rd 2015

1) Seinfeld will soon be available for screening- Hulu, Yahoo, and Amazon I believe are now in the talks to find out which service will screen every season of seinfeld. Netflix will not be in this bidding war... which makes sense to me. Netflix's target demo is probably a lot younger than Seinfeld's audience... although I'm sure people would sign up to watch Seinfeld... although also you can watch reruns literally on every channel that exists... so thats a little dumb. Anyway... I'm excited. I haven't seen very much of Seinfeld, but what I've seen I've liked a lot. 2) Elton John protests Dolce and Gabana- Dolce and Gabana lost the support of Elton John and many others after they made a comment insulting IVF. That isn't cool. IVF is sometimes the only option for a lot of couples and it isn't something to make fun of or make light of at all really. Many couples struggle to have a baby and go through IVF treatments so that they can have a baby and it ...

Scribbles about News: 2nd week of Feb

1) Woman gives birth to 14 pound baby- Ohhhhhh no. No. No. Noooo. Umm a woman gave birth to a child that weighs more than my maltese. She is the best woman in the entire world, I would say better than most in any universe and I wish her and the baby the best luck in the entire world. This is the biggest baby known to date... I'm wondering what this baby will be like when it grows up. It might be super tall or really big, or maybe just really tiny or something. Its kinda cool to be born a record breaker though. It is... wow. Lol. 2) Nia Vardalos to guest star on Jane the Virgin- Nia Vardalos news will always be reported on right here. Lol. The star and writer of My Big Fat Greek Wedding said that she liked the show and now she's going to get a guest starring role on it. She said that she also really likes Porshe's lol. I really love this show and I find it empowering and Nia Vardalos is also a super empowering person in my life too... so it just makes sense. 3) The Gramm...

Stuff That Happened This Week: (1/31/15)

Long time... no post! But here it is today: Stuff that happened THIS VERY WEEK! Its a lot and a lot of funny crazyness, so this is going to be a fun little news thingy. 1) Skymall declares bankruptcy- Sad day for all. Skymall, the most ridiculous thing that has ever existed is now no more. If you're reading this in the future and don't know what Skymall is, I'm going to explain it because it is actually the weirdest thing... In planes there's this catalog that has crazy things that you don't need... for you to buy on a plane. So if you're on a plane and think "Ohhh wow, I need a robot that can clean my car and make me green smoothies in the morning" You can find that in skymall. I'm upset about this just because people aren't going to believe that this existed. We need to make sure to preserve this thing exists. Its sad... but Idk who really bought any of this stuff. I know its not like a rational person in a good stable state of mind... I...

Scribbles about TV: Community Season 6 News

So I was going to do a few different posts today... One is a tv review that I think I'm going to wait until Thursday for... and then I was thinking of doing a trailer review, but that I'm going to wait a little for too because there were only 2 trailers I wanted to see really and one of them is for a show on Lifetime that I have no idea what the name is... but its supposed to be controversial because its about women actually giving birth. Anyway I woke up today seeing that there was some news about Community's premier date for Yahoo. Awesome! I had a feeling they would let us know this week when we could watch more, there are lots of new cast members that have been appearing and I feel like things are being released quite often about Community... so that is good. Anyway it comes back March 17th to Yahoo, which is for free and new episodes will be released every Tuesday from that day on... so that is good news. Yahoo had another great webseries called Burning Love, and I ...

Stuff that Happened this Week: 11/09/14

1) Amy Schumer gets Comedy Central to allow the word "Pussy" not to be bleeped on air- This is actually really funny and groundbreaking news. It totally makes sense because they say dick all the time on Comedy Central... but pussy is always shamed, and throughout history women's sexuality has been "shamed" which is totally the opposite of Amy's comedy personality, so I kind of love that. 2) New typeface designed to be easier for people with dyslexia- A lot of good things happening so far this week. This is pretty awesome. Dyslexia is a learning disorder that causes problems reading because letters appear differently. Its interesting that they've invented this and I kind of wonder why they didn't make this sooner. It seems like something that can be done obviously... but idk if it is something easy to make. I'm not sure but I think this is really useful and its a very cool thing! 3) New Star Wars Film Title Released- The New title for Disney...
