The Daily Something

This is part of the Lay's Flavor Swap Challenge. I think this is different than the Do Us A Flavor... I don't think this was created by anyone other than Lay's... but you vote for which one you like better for a chance to win money. I like the idea a lot. So for this one they are comparing it to the "old" Cheddar and Sour Cream Flavor... which I don't think I've ever seen... I've never tried... I'm going to compare these to regular sour cream because that's kinda what they taste like to me. When you first bite into these its like "Wow. That is Cheese." But then there's a bit of a sour cream flavor... and its pretty good. If you really like cheese, I think you'll like this. And these to me taste a little more like chips with french onion dip than the regular Sour Cream potato chips. Maybe because of the chives? Not sure. I was a little scared of these cause I tend to not like the new flavors... I don't love sour cream...

Sooo I am trying to be healthy... but I need to try the do us a flavor chips. And this is the one I wanted most.. and its awesome. I haven't had cool ranch doritos in a while... but dare I say it... these are better than Cool Ranch Doritos! I think I even like them better than all the other chips in these contests too. The selection this year actually sounds edible! The other flavors are Kettle Cooked Greektown Gyro, New York Reuben, and Wavy West Coast Truffle Fries. Which is cool cause its sort of like flavors from everywhere. I think the midwest like Chicago is known for Gyros, Truffle Fries are from the west coast, the south with the biscuits and gravy, and of corse New York... so thats kinda cool. I thought these overall tasted like gravy fries. They were a little like the Chicken and Waffles, but they were better. I think there was a little bit of spice to them... they were really quite delicious. They really got the gravy flavor especially right and it just worked so well ...

So now that I've gotten to try all of the Lays do us a flavor chips and I have eaten quite a bit and I know what I like best and the order of them and everything I will tell you what I think. Before i had tried any, I thought that Mango Salsa and Cheddar Bacon Mac and Cheese sounded the best to me. I thought Cappacino sounded weird, but I had been hearing good things about it. And I don't love Wasabi on it's own, so I didn't expect to like that very much at all. I also prefer Kettle Cooked Chips and Wavy chips as opposed to regular chips, but it didn't think that would factor in to making them taste better or anything. I also thought the clear winner would be cheddar bacon mac and cheese.  So first one I tried was the Cappacino, which I had heard was really good. I opened them up and at first I didn't think they were bad. I thought they were a lot better than I expected... But after eating them more and more...
