Scribbles About Food:Lay's Smoked Gouda and Chives Potato Chips

This is part of the Lay's Flavor Swap Challenge. I think this is different than the Do Us A Flavor... I don't think this was created by anyone other than Lay's... but you vote for which one you like better for a chance to win money. I like the idea a lot.

So for this one they are comparing it to the "old" Cheddar and Sour Cream Flavor... which I don't think I've ever seen... I've never tried... I'm going to compare these to regular sour cream because that's kinda what they taste like to me.

When you first bite into these its like "Wow. That is Cheese." But then there's a bit of a sour cream flavor... and its pretty good. If you really like cheese, I think you'll like this. And these to me taste a little more like chips with french onion dip than the regular Sour Cream potato chips. Maybe because of the chives? Not sure.

I was a little scared of these cause I tend to not like the new flavors... I don't love sour cream chips and when I was checking out at Target the girl said "These are terrible. No one in my family likes them." And I didn't even pick these out to try them. My mom was like "I think I want to try these." And I was like "really? Alright fine." Lol. I love trying the Do Us A Flavor chips... and sometimes I really like them... but I don't often finish the bag. I usually get pretty sick of it.

But these are really good! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like them... maybe its just because I haven't had chips in a long time... but I really ended up liking these. They're just really tasty! I like them a lot... I think I've had a little too much... lol.

So yes, these are worth a try... I think I'm going to rate them as good as Cool Ranch Doritos. I like them that much! Idk if I'll really buy them again because I think I'm the only one that likes them... and I don't want to eat the whole bag... but they're really tasty!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
