Scribbles About Life: 3.10.16

Soooo... I don't really want to post about my day... but I don't really want to post anything else either. I started writing something about female characters in movies and TV... but I just didn't like what I was writing and... idk... I was a blog writing machine this week and now I feel defeated. I wrote a ton on Monday and Tuesday and now I just don't feel like doing a post today... but I want to write still... So I'll talk about things that I guess are on my mind lately... Idk.

So I got this Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor... and for some reason... I'm addicted to the way that it smells. Idk why, it smells like cherry medicine... but I also sort of like it. Its more cherry than medicine... and I can't smell it on my lips... but Idk. I keep smelling it in the tube.

I got some cute stuff from American Eagle yesterday too! I got a dress and a romper... I do not own any Rompers... except this one... but it looked good on me and it didn't make me look fat... not that I'm calling myself fat... but it was flattering.

Also... my mall is hot. Like super super hot. I went there yesterday and it was too much... I went there today and it was a little better... but not amazing. But like I'm not ready for it to be this hot yet! I feel like I need shorts or something. It's bad!

Also... lets talk about my shopping addiction... cause that is real. I'm getting over it I didn't buy anything today... but I swatched the Urban Decay Spectrum Palette at Sephora... and I should not have done that! Its amazing! I know I'll never use it... but its amazing and I don't want to pay $55 for it... but its amazing and I want it. So this is hard.

And I started a new instagram for reviews only. I think it'll mostly be beauty related... but I think on sunday I'll just do random reviews... idk. Seemed like a good idea at the time and I like reviewing things...so that'll be fun. Its called Shannonsreviews... so check it out if you like reviews. And Bad Pictures.

You ever think inspirational quotes were made for questionable reasons? Like I feel like some guy was trying to sleep with some girl and he said "In life you regret the things you don't do more than the things you do." And then it just became a popular phrase because people are selfish jerks and just want to do stupid things... lol. I am someone that doesn't do much and I don't really regret my life that much. That was a random thought... but I saw an inspirational quote and the pessimist in me says "no."

So... yeah. I think that is everything. I hope you guys like this a little bit... lol.

Byeee!

Disney Store Closing Haul

So if you read my post from yesterday- you know that I love The Disney Store, but it is unfortunately closing. I did pick up some things from the store that I thought I'd share with you guys! I did get a couple of t shirts. One is a Star Wars shirt, which is technically a men's shirt but I thought it looked really cool and I don't like that Disney doesn't carry the same things for men and for women. For the most part they look unisex to me and a lot of their men's stuff has characters I like better. Like the star wars shirt for women was grey with pink lettering and had no pictures, but the mens shirt had a really cool metallic silver logo on black clothing with pictures of all the new characters and Luke inside of the letters... much cooler! So I got that! The other shirt I got is really funny and it has Sleeping Beauty on it and it says "I Woke Up Like This." Which I really liked! Super cute and funny and my niece likes it when I wear shirts with c...

Throwback Thursday: 13 Going On 30

So I watched this on VH1 around Christmas Time because it was on... they really need to bring this movie to Netflix because it's pretty fantastic and VH1 doesn't get the whole thing. I didn't catch the very beginning... but I did watch most of it from around the time when Matty gives her the Dream House... so sweet. It was a little weird to watch this movie because when it came out, I was 13 or almost 13... and now I'm closer to being 30... but I still felt more connected to the 13 year old Jenna instead of the adults in the movie. Like I'm not totally sure when I turned almost 30... but I don't like it. I'm still 13 year old Jenna who likes the same music as when I was 13 and has kind of the same style as I did then... I don't know... its just kind of a weird thing and I was freaking out a little bit from it. This is also the movie that introduced me to one of my favorite actresses, Judy Greer! I love Judy Greer, she's so funny and great and s...
