Gold Peak Maine Blueberry Iced Tea Review

Hey guys! So I LOVE Gold Peak Iced Tea. Their best one is the Raspberry Iced Tea... it tastes like Candy. Speaking of things that taste like candy... I just had the sweetest White Mocha I've ever had from Starbucks. It was delicious!  ANYWAY This is a really good blueberry flavor... it isn't too sweet... but it tastes fruity and really good. Not like candy... but still really good.  It's sweeter than the Pure Leaf Blueberry... I think they made a blueberry one... But this tastes better than that... but it's not quite as good as if you order the Blueberry Iced Tea from Chilis with Extra Syrup. You need to get the extra syrup- but they taste really good!  I think Gold Peak Iced Tea's  are my favorite across the board. I used to like the Long Island Iced Teas the best- and I used to really love the Arizona Iced Teas... but these ones are definitely the best.  Anyway hope you guys like this! I really like this! Let me know what you think of this iced tea!  Bye!...

Stuff I Ate: Donut Fries

Alright- not sure if these are still out right now or not... but recently Dunkin Donuts started doing a special menu type thing-and as of the time I'm writing this the only thing that came out anywhere outside of Massachusetts (I think) are the Donut Fries... which is the thing that everyone was most excited about. Let's talk about Expectations vs. Reality here... I don't know why- but I was expecting these to be kind of crispy and sort of like Churros. They weren't like that at all! They were kind of fluffy... and people are kind of comparing them to a cronut... it's sort of like that and sort of like a soft Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel... but with more of a dough texture than a pretzel texture... so keep that in mind. These are delicious! They're a little bit like the Taco Bell Cinnabon Delights- but without the cream... which I think I kind of prefer... I love the Cinnabon Delights after a night at the bar... you get the Cool Ranch Doritoes Locos Taco, you get ...

Scribbles About Food: Angeline by Michael Symon at Borgata

So at my friends bachelorette party we stayed at The Borgata... and I was really excited because I recognized the restaurant we were at as Michael Symon's newest restaurant... and I had really wanted to try that when I first heard about it. I love Michael Symon on The Chew and I think this is the closest restaurant he has. Plus it wasn't like the other celebrity restaurant at Atlantic City... it was like an actual restaurant... not just something with Symon's name plastered everywhere... I had to google to make sure it was his restaurant... it just looks like a nice Italian restaurant with an Atlantic City feel to it. I think the menu probably changes from season to season... it seemed like there were some nice fall options to it and there's a lot that you could get from the menu... for the most part it's regular italian food... but there are some lighter pastas too- like the one I ordered... so yeah. I didn't have any appetizers... it didn't look like...

Blogmas Day 5: Scribbles About Food: Starbucks Christmas Tree Frap and Cranberry Bliss Bar

So I was excited to see Starbucks had a new Frap out for the holidays and I finally tried the Cranberry Bliss Bar... which I never thought I'd like but it was one of Gayle's favorite things in Oprah Magazine... and you know I love Gayle King- so I needed to give it a try! Christmas Tree Frappuccino  This is the best of the special limited edition frap that I've tried recently... and I like the Unicorn Frap and the Zombie Frap. This tasted like a mint candy. Like the inside of a Lindor Mint Truffle... that's what this tasted like. And on top they had a Matcha Whipped Cream, Dried Cranberry, and a Strawberry! The cranberry on top of the whipped cream was DELICIOUSLY Sweet and crunchy... it was perfect. I didn't end up eating the Strawberry on Top, but it did really make the frap look like a christmas tree. It was a really delicious combo of Mint and then when you got some of the Matcha Whipped Cream it was really nice... and then at the end I just got mostly Whip...

Scribbles About Food: Starbucks Maple Pecan Latte

The newest fall flavor at coffee chains: Maple Pecan! I'm not sure why it took them so long for this- but it did and Maple Pecan is here to stay... I have to say I don't like it quite as much as the PSL- but it is a nice little change from the PSL. Fair warning... I'd maybe wait a little bit to order this. It isn't bad now... but it's still pretty early on- baristas are just learning how to make this new drink. By the time I'm posting this- enough time has probably passed... but I think they just missed the mark on this the first time I ordered. They didn't put whipped cream on it and it wasn't quite sweet enough... but I added some sugar and whipped cream at home and it was delicious. The Maple Pecan flavor is pretty present... it isn't the most flavorful latte... I would compare it to the Chestnut Praline... it tastes a lot like that but with a Maple flavor instead of a caramel-y flavor. It's pretty delicious. It isn't over maple-y and ...

Scribbles About Food: Brennan's Review

So Brennan's is a Local Steakhouse near me... and now I like steak... so I thought I would review. I ordered the Filet Mignon with a baked potato. It also came with a salad... I wasn't really expecting it to come with a salad or a side. The Menu doesn't mention that entrees come with a side or a salad- it just shows the different types of Steak, Seafood, or Chicken you can order and then it gives a list of sharable sides you can order... so I was going to share a side with my parents... but instead- they let you pick out a side for yourself and a salad... which I guess is a good thing- but it was just a little unexpected. Let's start with the salad. I ordered the mixed green salad with the balsamic... it was really tasty! It came with a nice size tomato... I didn't feel like a tomato that night- so I gave it to my mom... but she said it was really good and it looked nice and juicy. The balsamic was nice, they put just the right amount on the salad... and the mix...

Scribbles About Food: Azalea (New York)

My second review for my Gaga Weekend… which wasn’t really a weekend- but it was the same amount of time as a weekend… so we can call it a weekend lol.   As much as we liked the food at the hotel, we thought we would venture out a little and ask the Concierge for a place to get lunch. He recommended this place and Junior’s. I’ve been to Junior’s before Once for Brunch and once for dinner… I think I liked the dinner… didn’t love the breakfast and we were kind of looking for breakfast food… which isn’t what we got at Azalea because they don’t have a breakfast menu… so that’s okay.   Azalea has a great location- right next to the Girshwin theater… which if you didn’t know is where Wicked is playing! So if you have Wicked tickets, this is a good option for dining. When I saw Wicked, I went with my 8th grade class and we ate at Mars 2112… which is fun- but it’s not really something you want to go to as a grown up…lol. The food was okay there… the experience was fun… but it’...

Scribbles About Food: Shannon Eats Steak! Moonstruck!

So... this might seem like a big deal... but I haven't eaten steak in a really long time. My parents LOVE steak and they gave it to me so often as a kid I just got tired of it... and I've only had it a few times in the past... 15 years maybe? I've had Chicken fried steak- which is really good. My dad got a hibachi recently and made hibachi steak that I liked. My friend's fiance made some steak kabobs recently also... and I liked that... so I just kind of wanted to venture into eating steak again because I'm getting a little tired of chicken. And there's a really good restaurant in Asbury called Moonstruck... and I thought that would be a good time to try some. My parents really love their steak- I love their food and I've realized this is a good place to try new things... so I got it... and I'll review the appetizer and dessert I had also! Appetizer  We always pretty much order the same appetizers... this time we only ordered the one appetizer whic...

Scribbles About Food: Philadelphia Cream Cheese Cheesecakes in Chocolate and Cherry

So Philadelphia just came out with these Individual Cheesecake spread things... they're in packaging similar to Chobani Flips... but they aren't something easily flip-able... if you want to mix the flavor in with the cheesecake you have to spoon it out and mix it that way... which I'll kind of talk about... but otherwise... it's a pretty good dessert. Something a little different and pretty yummy! The Chocolate one I mixed in with the cheesecake when I ate it... if I were to do something differently I would probably just put a little bit of the cheesecake on a spoon and then dip into the chocolate part... but idk. It wasn't quite enough chocolate for me when it was mixed in... I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake... but I do love chocolate and I think a little bit more chocolate would have helped this a little bit better... it would have been a little more chocolatey and a little bit better I think. Idk it wasn't my favorite thing... but I still liked it....

Scribbles About Food: PF Changs

So I went to PF Changs recently and you know how much I love reviewing chain restaurants... so I thought I would do a little review of my PF Changs experience. PF Changs is a family style restaurant- so you share with the group... so my family ordered a few different things... one of them I didn't try- and I'll kind of get to that... but I liked everything else and I'll write a little bit about what my parents thought of the Beef dish that I did not try. Chicken Lettuce Wraps-  These are amazing. I love lettuce wraps- I feel like PF Changs is pretty well known for their lettuce wraps... that's usually the first things the servers recommend... btw I've had bad experiences with the waiters their... Our waiter was fantastic! All of his suggestions were good, he was very polite- not overly pushy but he sold us on stuff... the man was good at his job and I think- for the most part that is how the waiters are at PF Changs. They are well informed on the menu and very ...

Scribbles About Food: The Habit Golden Chicken Sandwich, French Fries and a Vanilla Shake

So the Habit is a restaurant I like a lot and I do recommend it... I think they have a great menu. If someone wants a burger and someone else wants something slightly healthier or without meat- this is a good place to go to. The Menu is Versatile enough to make everyone happy... however- in saying all that... whenever I go something is a little bit wrong. And it isn't that bad... but it's enough to make me question The Habit's Motto "There's no substitute for quality." I think I've been to The Habit 2 other times before and both times the fries were a little soggy. This time I ordered Sweet Potato Fries because those are usually a lot softer anyway... plus it sounded like something that would go well with the sandwich. They didn't give me sweet potato fries though, they gave me regular fries. I could have complained... but that would have just taken more time and it didn't matter all that much. The fries weren't soggy or anything-  they were ...

Scribbles About Food: The Original Cannoli Chips- Cookies and Cream and Powdered Sugar

So this is a relatively low calorie snack that is delicious and sweet. It's from a family owned business, with a family recipe which is really awesome. These have "No artificial anything" they also have No Trans Fat, they're Non- GMO, Nut Free... so these are pretty allergy and diet friendly. The Cookies and Cream ones are 90 calories... I didn't check the original ones... but I think they're low calories for the most part and they have a pretty good serving size too. 8 chips is one serving size... which is a good amount for these. It is also certified kosher. These fit a lot of food restrictions and diet restrictions... these would taste great in some kind of dip... that would be less diet friendly but if you put these out at a party without dip... people would probably love them just like that also. The Cookies and Cream ones remind me of the 100 Calorie Oreo Snack Packs that they used to have... idk if they still make these or not. The cookies and cream...

Scribbles About Food: Pure Leaf Pomegranate Iced Tea and Mint Iced Tea

I'm a fan of Iced Tea, so when I heard that Pure Leaf had 2 new flavors, I was pretty excited! Pomegranate Juice is something that I really like and I really like mint drinks and I've been liking Eucalyptus Spearmint smells lately... so I thought this would be good! This is really tasty! It's very flavorful, it tastes like Iced Tea obviously... but it's also like actually eating a pomegranate. It's got the flavor down PERFECTLY! It was fantastic! Pure Leaf isn't my favorite brand of iced tea. They have a lot of flavors... but the only ones I really like are the Raspberry and Peach. The plain sweet iced tea isn't bad... the Green Tea is pretty terrible from them, the Lemon is pretty bad too. If you know Long Island Iced Tea... those are much more flavorful than Pure Leaf... but I would have tp say that this pomegranate one definitely compares to the Long Island Iced Tea brand (btw the Long Island Iced Tea is just the name of the brand. It's not alcoho...

Scribbles About Food: KFC Georgia Gold

I'm so excited to talk about the KFC Georgia Gold Chicken... because it was really good. It's something I would eat a lot good... the flavor was really really yummy on that extra crispy chicken... it was perfection! So I got mine on the Extra Crispy Chicken... you can also get it in (extra crispy)  tender form or as Chicken Littles, which is a chicken sandwich that they do. They don't have this in buckets... but we got 8 pieces I think in 2 boxes that I believe they put their 4 piece meals in. I wonder if you could get it as a $5 fill up... that would be yummy! So anyway the sauce was definitely spicier than I thought it would be. I was just kind of expecting a tangy mustard sauce... which it was... but there was a good amount to spice to it! It goes really well with the cole slaw because that cools down the spiciness... I think the chicken littles come with it in a sandwich with cole slaw... which just sounds delicious. Great way to cool it off. It's very fillin...

Scribbles About Food: Chobani Flip Peanut Caramel Satisfaction Greek Yogurt

So I'm not always the biggest fan of dessert-y yogurt... I don't like the Yoplait ones with flavors like Tiramusu or something like that... those just kind of seem like shams to me lol. But this is a little different because it tastes more like regular yogurt with granola in it... and it's good! So this is a caramel flavored low-fat yogurt with roasted peanuts, milk chocolate and caramel bits. You just flip over the little mix-in bits and then eat it all together. It tasted... sooo good! The yogurt itself was really sweet... I thought the fact that it was caramel yogurt would freak me out... but it actually didn't taste like a fake caramely thing... it just tasted like a sweeter custard almost... it didn't taste overwhelmingly like yogurt... it was perfect in that way and I just really liked it! On its own it was not disgusting! And the little "granola" pieces taste really really yummy with it. It just makes it so great. I think there were mostly cho...

Scribbles About Food: Chicken and Waffles at The Ale House in Asbury Park

So here's something fun! The Ale House is a really great restaurant... it gets really busy and the service isn't the absolute best... but even still... it's got a great menu with pretty much everything I like on it... good appetizers, fun place for drinks... and just a good place to go all in all. Anyway... back to my food... There was a lot of stuff on the menu that I liked... but when I saw Chicken and Waffles it was a done deal! I knew exactly what to get and I was super super excited! The Fried Chicken was boneless and it had a maple flavor to it. It was really good and sweet. There wasn't any maple syrup with the chicken and waffle... which I was somewhat nervous about... but the flavor of the chicken definitely made up for that. It tasted like it already had Maple with it. There was also a gravy that went on top of it that was really good. It was a white gravy that had bacon in it I think also according to the menu... it didn't really taste like bacon,...

Scribbles About Food: Review: Bradley Beach Elbow Room Bar and Kitchen Elbows and Cheese

So I thought I would do a little review of The Elbow Room Bar and Kitchen in Bradley Beach. This is not the chain restaurant called The Elbow Room... although it is sort of like a comfort food restaurant... it isn't all Mac and Cheese like the chain restaurant... but I figured I would order their signature Macaroni and Cheese dish anyway. I'm picky with my cheeses so I asked what cheeses they had in their Mac and Cheese beforehand... I think it was Cheddar, Jack and something else... so just regular cheeses... nothing spicy, nothing bitey... no swiss cheese or parmesan or anything like that... just regular macaroni and cheese... which I like... but at the same time... it was just kind of regular macaroni and cheese. You could make it at home if you wanted to... its just pretty ordinary Mac and Cheese... it wasn't terrible and it was a good sized portion... but it was regular Mac and Cheese for like $9. Not quite sure its worth that. It's also a lot of food... I was ...

Scribbles About Food:Milka Oreo Big Crunch Bars

So I got these a while ago, as an Advent Calendar Present actually and I still have some because its absolutely huge and it is delicious... but if you can't find it... I think you can make it yourself. It's pretty much the side of the oreo with cream covered in Milka chocolate... so that in itself is the most delicious thing you could imagine, right? The cookie is surrounded by the cream and then surrounded by chocolate... which is really delicious. It looks like they have different variations coming soon. They have a snack mix coming soon that looks like a crazy delicious version of a trail mix with only Oreos and Chocolate... omg this is going to be dangerous. And as yummy as this tastes... if you want to make these yourself you probably can. I don't really see a reason to do this right now... it is probably more expensive in the long run and time consuming... but if you were to melt milka chocolate and then dip the creamy side of the oreo and freeze it... you can get...

Blogmas Day 9: Scribbles About Food- Starbucks Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate Review

So I saw that Starbucks now has their hot chocolates advertised... and they have the regular Chocolate Hot Chocolate, the White Hot Chocolate and the Salted Caramel available... and now they have added a Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate! And I was excited to try it! I was kind of just expecting it to be a white hot chocolate... which is why I was surprised that when I drank it... it tasted just like a cookie fresh out of the oven! It was really really good! It smells really good too! Before I even took a sip I could smell it and it smelled just like a snicker doodle cookie. And then when I started drinking it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet or sugary, it was just the same amount of sweetness as a regular Snickerdoodle cookie and it was just warm and delicious. They got the flavor down so well, its amazing! When I got to the end... it wasn't quite as delicious as the first few sips. It wasn't bad... but it did sort of lose a little bit of flavor and just tasted more like a whit...

Scribbles About Food: Charley's Philly Steak- Cheesesteak and Bacon Cheese Fries Combo

So I just had this for lunch today and it was really good. It wasn't huge, but it was filling and it wasn't a bad price either for the amount of food your getting. My mom and I both got the same thing and it was $20 and a penny for the 2 of us... so not bad. What we got came with a small cheesesteak, the gourmet fries (you could get plain too and its a little less money) and a drink. So the cheesesteak is just the regular thin steak, white american cheese and then it comes with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Usually I'd ask for it without the extras... but it was busy and it seemed like a better idea to just get it as is. And it wasn't too bad. It wasn't the most amazing flavorful cheesesteak I've ever had... but it was really yummy and I would get it again. This was inside a mall in the food court, and I would say it might be the best food court food you can get. the cheese was really good. The bacon was yummy... everything just came out delicious. And to...
