Latest Oscar Recap Ever

So I did want to do a recap of the Oscars- I mentioned that and although I only saw one of the movies nominated- Get Out- I still thought I had enough that I could really do a good review of and I have some things to say so here we go! Allllright so first off I liked Jimmy Kimmel as a host last year... I think he did a pretty okay job... Jimmy Kimmel isn't my favorite late night talk show... I usually skip it- but I do like some segments and I think Kimmel is a good person. I kind of wish he spoke out more against people like Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck and Matt Damon... he sort of had a good opportunity to do that and I think he could have... but annnnyway I thought he did a good job the previous year... and I think this year he improved. He might not have been on it a lot... but I liked that they went to a movie theater to surprise moviegoers... although I think they might have done that last year. I liked his opening monologue... overall I just think he's a good pick an...

Missed the movie... but had some fun shopping.

Ugh I keep meaning to write first thing in the morning... and I just haven't been waking up that early. Normally I'm up pretty early... but I've been cleaning up my room late at night... and I was just kind of exhausted today... so that didn't happen. Another thing that didn't happen: Going to see Coco! My mom and I tried to get there early to see the 2:30 showing of Coco- but it was sold out when we went there! So we went shopping again... But to go shopping... we had to pass the Food Court... not usually a bad thing- but it smelled TERRIBLE. I don't know what it could have been... it was near a Bananas and a Green Leaf- which sometimes smell terrible... and there were a couple of new places in that food court... I'm not eating there again though because it just smelled HORRIBLE! We did get some Christmas sale deals at Hallmark, Disney Store and I got some $3 Wallflowers from Bath and Body Works. I also got some things from Forever 21... I usually kin...

10 Things To Know About Oscars 2016

So I'm doing more top 10 things lately... and I thought instead of doing a full review, I'd just talk about 10 important things. 1) This years Oscar was controversial because of the lack of diversity. Chris Rock, the host... had no problem addressing this throughout the show. I think he did a good job covering all of the issues and addressing that there needs to be diversity and equality in Hollywood. I thought seeing Rock in The Martian and Tracey Morgan as The Danish Girl was quite funny. A lot of his jokes were about very serious things. but he's Chris Rock, he's probably the funniest person in the world... so obviously he made it work and I don't think anyone doubted that. He's Chris Rock. 2) The Stacy Dash thing... whattt? Ummm... she's a controversial person that I think annoys most people... so I don't know if people were annoyed or happy to laugh at her. If you google Chrissy Teigan's face... thats pretty much the right reaction. 3) I l...

2015 It List: Yearly Favorites

So I think I'll do a top 15 things of the year... idk if I have 15 things though... we'll see. 1) Keurig 2.0- So my first favorite is something I've used almost everyday since we've gotten it... which was around February or March... and I love it! I know its not like real professionally made coffee... but if you're like me and you like flavored coffee and you like sweet things... I guess you can choose the sweetness... but still I think this is something that you might like if you like your coffee sweet and flavorful. 2) Fitbit Charge HR - This I've also used this pretty much every day since I've gotten it, which was back in October on my birthday. One day the battery was totally dead and one day I was sick and didn't wear it... but I've worn it most days and its really fun. I like doing the challenges with other people... I usually lose but its still fun. I like that it monitors my heartbeat (I have the Charge HR) and I like that its purple. Lol...

It List: December 2015

Here is my final It List of the Year!!!! Not really. I will have a 2015 It List and a Christmas It List... maybe those are already up... idk. But yeah. Here is the yearly one! Alright! 1) Green Mountain Gingerbread K Cups- These are awesome! They taste so good... I've said it before and I'll say it again... kind of like it better than the Gingerbread Latte from Starbucks. It is delicious! I love it it tastes amazing and its just good overall. 2) Philosophy Almond and Cream Shower Gel- This shower gel smells so good! I love anything almond scented, it is probably my favorite smell. This I got on sale at TJ Maxx... its a great holiday gift for a hostess or something. These even have actual recipes on them and they're just very useful and yummy smelling and good! 3) Fitbit Challenges- So right now I'm in a fitbit challenge with my friends and my sister and its really fun. just 2 of my friends, some of her friends and my sister is also in there. I was beating my siste...

Weekly Wrap Up: 12/12/15

Happy the world didn't end 3 years ago day! To Celebrate, I'll do the Weekly Wrap Up a day early! Or because you know, its going to effect Blogmas... lol. Favorites  Philosophy Almond and Cream Shower Gel- I love the smell of almonds... I love Philosophy shower gels... and the combo of the two is just awesome. I actually don't think they sell this at Sephora or Ulta at the moment... but I found a duo of a lotion and the shower gel at TJ Maxx. It was a little pricier than I expected from TJ Maxx... but still a good deal. And its the scent that I absolutely love. It smells soo good and almondy and warm and I just absolutely love love loveeee it! Green Mountain Gingerbread K Cups- These are soooo good. These I may like just as much as the Starbucks Gingerbread Latte... if not more. That is how good they are! I'm loving these. Another Holiday K Cup flavor I am loving are the Queen Anne Cherry Cordial K Cups... ohhh my gosh! Sooo soooo good! Thought these could be rea...

October 2015 It List: Birthday Edition!!!!!

Sooo I did this last year and I'm doing it again this year. The month is like halfway done... plus its my birthday... so here are my favorites for the month! 1) Scream Queens- One of the funniest and Scariest shows I've ever seen is definitely #1 on my favorites list for this month. This is such a well done Horror Comedy... I typically love Horror Comedies and this one is probably my favorite that leans more towards the comedy side. There is currently a 3 week halloween special on... I'm watching Part One as I write this... and its already really funny and amazing. I love that they keep mentioning a Best Buy Parking Lot as a reference to Serial Season 1... its so funny. Such a great commentary and satire. Its like if American Horror Story were super funny. Super Super Funny. Its bloody and gory too... but the laughs don't ever really stop either. Its just really wells done. Great satire and just a good show. 2) American Horror Story- At the time I'm writing this...

Things I'm Excited For: Fall!

So it is September 2nd which means... its still summer. Lol. But its also almost fall... and I think I did this for summer so I'm going to do it for fall. I don't know if there's a ton of movies or anything (I lied there are quite a few) I'm excited for... but in general... I have some excitement for Fall... so lets get into that. 1) American Horror Story: Hotel- This is the most excited I've been for American Horror Story. It sounds creepier than Freakshow... which was pretty creepy. I'm really excited for the additions to the cast like Max Greenfield, Matt Bomber is back, Lady Gaga! I love Jessica Lange I think she's coming back... but I'm not sure. Either way I think the cast sounds absolutely amazing. One of the murderers is based on the woman that Charlize Theron played in Monster... it just all sounds cool. I got the Entertainment Weekly with Gaga in character on the cover and it is awesome. So looking forward to it. Which means it will probably ...

It List: August 2015

1) Vita Tops Deep Chocolate- These are my favorite thing that has happened as a result of my trying to get fit healthy snacks/ healthy breakfast type of a thing... because these are better than a lot of desserts that are more indulgent. They're these little muffin tops, only 100 calories per serving and on the box theres a little tip that you can burn 100 calories from 15 minutes of walking... which is very cool. I love little details like that. These you put in the freezer and then when you take them out microwave them for about 30 seconds and it is like a delicious chocolate cake that I think you can eat for breakfast because its a muffin top. Lol. Smart right? I usually have this for breakfast with some cereal and a coffee from the keurig, or I'll have it for dessert... but it is fantastic. I know you're supposed to have a bigger breakfast, thats why I eat this with the cereal. Lol. 2) Inside Out- I finally got to see this movie and it was well worth the wait! It is ...

It List: June 2015

I feel like I'm going to have a lot here... but here we go! 1) Donut Shoppe Nutty Caramel k cups- I've been loving this flavor from my Keurig this month. It tastes really good hot, but its also the best k cup I've made iced so far! Its really sweet and it has that nutty flavor to it that just makes it so different. The caramel is also really amazing in this flavor too. I've been looking forward to waking up more because of these. Especially after trying them iced! 2) Christina Kober Fortune Cookie Necklace- So my sister got my graduation present from this designer Christina Kober and its a fortune cookie with the quote "Stay Weird. Stay Different" from Graham Moore on it. I love this quote and I love the necklace in general. I find it inspirational because I do want to be a screenwriter/ writer and he won the oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. And the words are universally inspirational anyway. I like being weird and different and this necklace is just ver...

January 2015: IT LIST!

I totally was about to change the name of this to "the Bae list" or something like that... but Bae isn't going to be popular in a few months. Just know, all these items I'm mentioning are bae. A lot of these are fashion related... so thats a thing. 1) Gray Sparkly Cardigan Ugg Boots- I've been wearing these all the time. I love Uggs in general, and these are new, so they're kind of my favorites right now. They are warm and comfy and they look fashionable and go with everything. I used to hate the color grey, and now I've been loving it. i don't have a picture of these, but they look sooo much prettier in person than on camera anyway... I'm obsessed with uggs in general, but these are my babies! 2) Target handbag- Speaking of Grey fashiony items, I recently got this handbag at Target and it is awesome! Its big and it has a crossbody and a shorter strap. It holds everything in my life that I need. Its good quality and affordable too. It was like ...

November 2014: It List

1) Yes Please by Amy Poehler-  Amy Poehler has a book now! And it is kind of amazing! Not kind of, really amazing and funny and really good. This will probably take me a little longer to read because its too big for me to bring on the train... plus I like extending reading these books so that I can feel like I'm bffs with these women for a long time. Lol. I love Amy Poehler and I love that she has a really funny book out. 2) Horns by Joe Hill -  I just finished this book and did a review on it... I loved it. I also did a review on the movie... didn't love that so much, but the book is really detailed and had lots of twists and just kept me interested all around. It was so sooo good. It's my kind of horror book because it had a little bit of everything. There was humor, some science fiction elements, a mystery that was very real. The end was really cool. Overall great book! 3) Jiff Whips Pumpkin Spice- This is delicious. It's a peanut butter spread that tastes like P...

It List: October 2014

This is my favorite month... and today is actually my favorite day of my favorite month because... IT BE MY BIRFDAY!!! I'm 23 today and I'm fuckin' excited! There have also been a lot of awesome things that have happened this month, so there's that too! 1) How To Get Away With Murder- Can we talk about this show for a second? Like can we. OHHHH MY GOD! It's 3 episodes in and I'm already absolutely hooked! It looks like tonight's episode will be even better! It just keeps getting better! I love it! You have to watch this show! Seriously watch and be amazed. 2) Gone Girl- I can't not mention one of the greatest movies ever! I loved the book, I love the movie... I'm happy that they did it so well because I wasn't sure how it would be honestly. I'm such a huge fan of the book it seems wrong to do a movie... but they did it soo soo right. Love it. 3) Sharp Objects- Speaking of Gone Girl, I've been reading Sharp Objects, which is by the s...

Remembering Joan Rivers

I did have a Throwback Thursday planned for today, but I will be posting that tomorrow instead because I really admire Joan Rivers and I wanted to say some things about her. She is one of my idols, as a female that wants to go into comedy, I look up to any female that does comedy... but Joan Rivers I think really made a huge difference for all women in show business today. I love that she would never hold back what she was saying. Whether it was about a person's outfit or what she truly thought of someone, she would always say the exact truth... and honestly thats what we should all want to hear! She reminds me of my really good friends that I feel like I can depend on telling me their honest feelings without sugar coating anything. Like she's actually wise and is fabulous so she knows what she's doing and you should take her advice. Her appearance on Louie was so true to how she was as a person even a comedian like Louis Ck could take her advice and benefit from it. Sh...

It list! July 2014

1) Trueblood- not going to lie, this show got a little weird for me in season 5. I wasn't into the whole vampire religion or Billith thing. I thought it was kind of ridiculous... But that is the lovely thing about trueblood as a whole. It is ridiculous and campy and that is what has kept me watching for years and why I will continue to watch it. I still love all of the characters and I had to catch up on season 6 so that I could watch the final season now... And I've been really liking it. I have some recaps and reviews up and I will be continuing doing so every Sunday... So yeah expect some posts! 2) Gone Girl- I saw the trailer for this and I was curious. My mom has about a thousand books, so I asked her if we had this and we did and I started reading it immediately... And I'm pretty hooked. I'm really interested to see the movie now. I think it's also really well written too the way that it shifts between Nick and Amy's point of views. And it's interest...
