What I got for Christmas 2019

I'm not bragging... I just like to watch these videos and I thought that I would share what I got with you guys! First off let's start with some makeup! I got pretty much all of the lipsticks from the Safiya Nygaard Colourpop collab line. The only one I didn't order was "Brucie" because the whole collection was sold out when I ordered it- so I needed to order them all individually... and I didn't think I would wear Brucie so I didn't really want to get it. I'm a big fan of Safiya's videos- I try to always watch them when they come out and I'll catch up if I don't watch it right away... so I wanted to try these colors! I was really excited for them- I'll probably post a lip swatch post on my beauty blog. I also got the Mercury Retrograde palette from Huda Beauty. This is a really fun palette with a lot of wearable colors. From what I've used so far I really love it... but I'll have to use it more times before giving a full ...

10 Thanksgiving Favorites

Alright-  Thanksgiving is a little under appreciated as a holiday- and I get it- it isn't as glamorous or fun as the two holidays it is sandwiched in between. My next post will probably be Christmas Related... but Thanksgiving is good too! And I want to talk about it! I'll also probably mention Christmas because I do feel like they go hand in hand. These are in no particular order! 1. Friends Thanksgiving Episodes- Everyone knows these are the best episodes of Friends! Whether they have special guest stars, love interests, bad trifle, mocklate, or turkey's getting stuck on Joey's head... they are always the best episodes! They are almost as good as Monica's Moist Maker Sandwich! 2. The Thanksgiving Day Parade- I'm not too into parades- but I do really love watching all the balloons of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I used to especially love it when Macy's would release the special plushes to go along with the main Balloon... and I'm sad they...

Blogmas Day 13: My Favorite Christmas Songs This Year

I usually like Christmas music in General... this year I'm working retail... so Christmas Music isn't really my first go-to as far as music goes... but I do still like it... and honestly my favorites are from the Christmas Soundtrack at work right now. I'll probably go and listen to the full albums... but these are still just good ones. 1) Everyone's A Kid At Christmastime by Stevie Wonder-  I like Stevie Wonder in general... and I like his Christmas Songs in general... but this one is really special and good. I like that he mentions even Scrooge can be a kid at Christmas Time... it's just a really clever song that I really really like. 2) Gwen Stefani's Christmas Songs-  This is shocking because usually I don't listen to Gwen Stefani because something terrible ALWAYS happens when I listen to Gwen Stefani... but I have to say her Christmas songs are actually great. She has such a great voice for them... and they're all just really sweet and kind of...

Blogmas Day 7: Shopping For Christmas Gifts (SPOILERS FOR MY FRIENDS/BOYFRIEND... PLEASE DON'T READ TILL AFTER I GIVE YOU YOUR PRESENTS!!!!!!)

So this is not really going to be a gift guide post... but it sort of is I guess... I'm just going to kind of talk about what I got for people so far for christmas- why I got them these things and maybe a little bit of the shopping process behind it all. I'm going to start off with my friends because I got my 3 friends that I've had since High School (one from before that) and I get them all the same thing... and typically I get them all makeup. This year I got their presents early- during the Sephora 20% off sale... I had swatched one of the mini Violet Voss palettes and I thought the Berry Burst looked good and seemed a little bit like a mini version of the Holy Grail palette- which I like a lot. The Creme Brulee looked nice too- but I thought the Berry Burst would be better. I also got them each a Bum Bum Bath Bomba from Sol de Janiero because... even though I didn't think it was the best Bath Bomb I've ever tried for the price... but I also thought it was nice...

Blogmas Day 6: A Christmas Day in NYC with my family

I wrote a blog like this last blogmas... and I have another one this year. The annual NYC Macy's trip with my family and my brother in laws family to take my niece to see Santa was here once again... and this trip was a lot different than the last trip... but just as fun. So last year when we did this my niece was almost 1... this year she's almost 2- so she's a little more playful, a little more alert about some things... and its just really cute to see what a difference a year makes. We took the train up...which was a lot of fun for the baby! She really loves watching trains go by and she was so excited to actually be on one! She had a fun time with it. I had a nap because I was up early and I had no coffee... and now working retails around the holidays... if I see an opportunity for a nap I take it. Then we went to the city and again... the baby was excited! She saw the people, the lights the noises... she just loved it. Also there were animals everywhere and she l...

Blogmas Day 4: Jingle All The Way 2 Review

Heyy guys! I didn't really mean to make Blogmas all movie reviews from me... that's just kind of how it's working out right now... but my Boyfriend actually got me the very romantic gift of Jingle All The Way 2... which we did watch together... and I think we both agree... It is a Movie... This movie stars Larry The Cable Guy as a single dad who is kind of trying to outdo his daughter's new step dad... he also kind of just wants to get his daughter what she wants... and that is a Teddy Bear called Harrison. Larry reads his daughters letter to santa and sees a misspelled version of Harrison and decides to get it for her. The only thing is... these bears are like impossible to get. Every time Larry goes to the store- someone buys every single Harrison Bear. One of the things I think I need to complain about with this movies is that there were too many antagonists... I wasn't paying the most attention to the movie because... well it isn't the most interesting...

Blogmas Day 11-Throwback Thursday: Community Christmas Episodes Season 1-3

Sooo one of my favorite tv shows ever is Community. And some of my favorite episodes are these Christmas episodes! So I thought I would do a little Throwback Thursday with these episodes now that I actually have the DVD box set of every season... so I might do a Throwback Thursday of each season soon... stay tuned if you like Community... but I'm really excited to talk about these Christmas episodes! Season 1 Comparative Religion  One of the things I should say about Community is that in each season they have a class that they're all in a study group for... and the study group kind of serves as a theme for the season. The first season is Spanish to show that being a Community is kind of a foreign concept to the study group. This is a great example of how they really perfected that concept. Everyone in the study group has a different religion, and Shirley- the religious Christian of the Study Group is trying to throw a Christmas Party and get everyone into the true meaning...

Blogmas Day 10: I Gave The Santa Clause a Fair Chance... and...

So I never really liked the movie The Santa Clause with Tim Allen- I love The Santa Clause 2... but The Santa Clause and The Santa Clause 3 just weren't my thing. And I think the reason I never liked The Santa Clause is that I couldn't relate to it and I just kind of thought it was sad. It was sad that Santa died, it was sad that Tim Allen and his wife were divorced and overall... I just thought the movie was a little dark. But that being said... a lot of people get divorced, a lot of divorces aren't that nice when children are involved and... even though it's the holidays- bad things still happen... and that doesn't mean Christmas has to be dark and gloomy... I appreciate that about this movie... that isn't really why I liked it though... but it's a start. The reason The Santa Clause 2 is my favorite is because I love how they show The North Pole in that movie... I just like that North Pole and even though I was maybe a little older when The Santa Claus...

Blogmas Day 9: Christmas Things in NJ

Sooo I thought I would just talk a little about what NJ has to offer for the holidays since I already mentioned New York and Disney. First off if you're from the Jersey Shore and you don't want to go to New York for their holiday markets- Asbury Park has a holiday bazaar! I think it's open every weekend around Christmas... not 100% sure about that- but they did have it open the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was really nice. They had a photo booth, they had some nice jewelry and some bowties you could get for your dogs... which my friends got. The photo booth was super fun and not too pricey. They also gave us Hot Chocolate. They have a nice tree and some shops around Convention Hall there. We went to the tree lighting and took some fun, festive pictures. They also have a good production of Scrooge in Convention Hall. If you like musicals and you like A Christmas Carol- this is a great show to see! Next up... Red Bank! I don't know if they do this all the ti...

Blogmas Day 3: How To-sday How to Make A Christmas Jar

I bet you're wondering what a Christmas Jar is... well you're in luck because today you're going to find out how to make one! Here's what you'll need: A Large Jar  Christmasy Things to put in the jar.  I have a very large Apothecary Jar that I won in a "Guess The Candy Corn" Contest and I filled it with Ornaments of different sizes, "Snow" and jingle bells. The first ornaments I got were from Target's Wondershop and I went with the Pink, Red, Silver and rose gold theme. I just got 2 of the $3 boxes... would have been enough for a regular sized apothecary jar maybe... but not enough for mine... so the next day I went to Dollar Tree and got 2 packs of large rose gold ornaments and 1 bag of jingle bells. The snow from the stuffing of a little stuffed snowman that my dog got a hold of and put that in there too. I arranged the ornaments so that it wasn't too much of the same type of ornament or the same color in every little thing...

Blogmas Day 1: Getting Into The Christmas Spirit Checklist.

I thought it would be fun to do a checklist for things to get into the holiday spirit... I feel like I like doing it in different steps. I'll tell you guys what I like to do first and... yeah! 1- Starbucks Holiday Flavors! - Check!  2- Watch Some Cartoons That Aren't Christmas Cartoons- Check!  Before the Christmas Season Starts... I like to watch some cartoons! Usually... they have them on ABC Family's Countdown to the 25 Days of Christmas... also ABC Family is called FreeForm now so that's an old title... lol. This tradition started after coming back from Disney my Senior Year Of High School and then seeing ABC Family had a bunch of great Classic Disney Movies on before the 25 Days of Christmas Started. It was so much fun to combine my love of Christmas with my love of Disney... and Thanksgiving and The Homecoming Dance were in there too. It was fun. This year I was watching my friend's dog and it was on... so I watched Despicable Me... Which is my favori...

Hump Day Update: 11/29/17

What I'm Watching  I feel like everything has been repeats lately on TV- but I've been watching a lot of Christmas specials on TV. I watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and The Thanksgiving Day Parade... I watched Rudolph last night and Santa Clause is Coming to Town recently... and the Victoria Secret Fashion Show- which was last night... so yeah that was all good. I also watched some episodes of Mom and some repeats because it is now in syndication... so that's exciting. There was an I Heart Radio Music Festival on on Friday Last Week and that was really great. Just a lot of good holiday music specials lately. News  Matt Lauer was fired from NBC amongst Sexual Harassment allegations. Prince Harry is Engaged to an American Actress named Meghan Markle. The Queen's Corgis approved... so that is a good sign. I'm also popular with Corgi's... just sayin. Food and Drink  I went to a place in Asbury called Loteria. That is really good... I had a Ca...

Hump Day Update! 11/22/17

What I'm Watching  I watched all of the Community Christmas episodes over the weekend... there might have been one or 2 that I missed... but I watched the first 3 seasons and I loveeee that show and their holiday episodes are the best! I also watched Corky Romano with my friend this week... weird movie... but a good one. Tonight I'm really excited because Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is on and after that they're showing repeats (I think) of Modern Family and American Housewife. I also watched Fresh Off The Boat and The Middle. Those were good this week. The Middle isn't my favorite show... but I do really love Fresh Off The Boat. So happy Life in Pieces is back... I also watched Mom and I watched some of Curb Your Enthusiasm... so so funny! That's about it! News Charlie Rose is the latest person accused of Sexual Harassment and has since been let go from his show CBS This Morning and his show on PBS. He didn't deny allegations, but he also said wha...

Blogmas Day 25: Christmas Weekly Wrap Up

So this isn't a real weekly wrap up... I'm just going to talk about everything I did from 22nd to now... in a quick and entertaining way. 22nd  I did some last minute-y Christmas type things. I went shopping with my mom for some things she needed and some candy and snacks and stuff. And I went to my friend's Ugly Sweater Party! Which was a lot of fun.I wore my minion sweater and ended up winning a Christmas Coloring Book. And we ate a lot of food... and played Cards Against Humanity... which I'm pretty good at. It's a fun game! 23rd  I stayed at home all day... but I went out to eat dinner and it was really good. I didn't do too much. I cleaned the bathroom, which was good... but yeah. Mostly just ate food and got ready for Christmas Eve! 24th  Christmas Eve! We went over to my Nana's house for our Christmas Eve traditions with my cousins on my dad's side of the family. That was fun... we ate a lot again... and opened presents! Which was also fu...

So my newest most favorite Christmas snacks... well ok 1 is new from last year... 1 is not new but it was rekindled. Sugar Cookie Egg Nog... sooooo good! I just really like Egg Nog in general and this just tastes like a tasty tasty cookie and its just sooo good. I really like it a lot. It's just so nice and yummy! I've gone on and on about it... so good. And Stolen! I didn't think this would be something I liked... but it also has Marzipan in it... so of corse it's amazing! Blogmas Day 18: Stocking Stuffer Sunday- Random Fun Stuff

So since I already mentioned movies and candy... here are some fun toys and other things! First thing I want to mention is the Elf popper, they have penguin ones too... its basically a Nerf Gun that looks like an Elf or Penguin or something spitting out balls. It's a lot of fun. My mom got them a few years ago for my sister and brother in law and I... and it was fun. Yes... we're all grown ups... but it was fun! We got this at Hallmark! Books are always fun! A lot of times if you go to Barnes and Noble... or even Hallmark maybe, they have tiny books that you can get as gifts. The LOLDogs and LOLCats used to be really big. I like the "I Can Has Cheeseburger" one... but there are a bunch. They might have some christmas ones or religious ones, if you wanted to give something like that. They have things like 642 little things to draw or write about... which is always a fun gift. Wreck This Journal would probably be a lot of fun too and that would fit in a stocking. Al...

Blogmas Day 16:Christmas 2016 It List!!!!

Here are my favorite Chrismasy things of the year... so far! 1) Simply Christmas by Leslie Odom Jr- I reviewed this cd right  here  and I thought it was just really a great cd. The songs were all nice and I'm a fan of Leslie Odom, Jr.'s voice! I really like it and its been one of my favorites this year! 2) Vlogmas- I watch a lot of daily vloggers regularly. Like The Tim Tracker and The Jones Family Travels and people that are around theme parks... but I've been especially liking them during the holiday season because I love seeing different places around the holidays. It's just interesting to me and I like the addition of several other youtubers doing Vlogmas as well! It's just been fun to see what everyone is up to and how everyone is celebrating. There are lots of extra videos to watch and its fun! 3) Sugar Cookie Egg Nog- This has been my favorite thing for years... but I didn't find it the last couple of years... but this year its back and its so sooo ...

Blogmas Day 10:The Best and Worst Christmas Movies + When To Watch Them!

So... here is what I decided the best movies to watch for Christmas and when you should watch them! There are some I think are perfect to watch Early Early on and some that are better closer to Christmas... but here they are. And I'll mention which ones to just avoid at all costs... lol. Best Early On  Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown- I've said this before and I'll say it again... this is the way to kick off the holiday season! It really reminds you of what's important and what Christmas is all about. It makes me happy to watch every time I see it too. It's just a really good movie! Santa Claus is Coming To Town- This is another favorite of mine for the beginning of Christmas because I think its a great way to get you to really believe in Santa! It answers any questions about Santa's origins and it all makes sense! I just always love this movie and they usually play it pretty early on. Its a good one! Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer- They usually play this...

Some things I got For Christmas

So I kind of wanted to share a few things I got for Christmas. I have some hauls on my beauty blog with the more beauty related stuff I've gotten during the holidays and I'll include those gifts in there... but these are kind of more non-beauty or clothing items. So I love minions... so there's sort of a theme here with some of the minion-items I've gotten. My sister got me minion lights like Christmas lights and they are the most beautiful lights in the entire world! I love them, I think they're adorable and really brighten up the room because they are yellow... these may end up in my room when Christmas is over... lol. My mom got me a Funko Mystery Mini Minion. I opened it up and it was a little karate fighting minion. So cute! I love it. I have this one already, but its one of my favorites and I just think he's adorable... and its a minion so of corse I love it! And Minion Monopoly! These were all kind of surprises. I ordered most of what I got myself...
