Hump Day Update! 11/22/17

What I'm Watching

I watched all of the Community Christmas episodes over the weekend... there might have been one or 2 that I missed... but I watched the first 3 seasons and I loveeee that show and their holiday episodes are the best!

I also watched Corky Romano with my friend this week... weird movie... but a good one.

Tonight I'm really excited because Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is on and after that they're showing repeats (I think) of Modern Family and American Housewife.

I also watched Fresh Off The Boat and The Middle. Those were good this week. The Middle isn't my favorite show... but I do really love Fresh Off The Boat.

So happy Life in Pieces is back... I also watched Mom and I watched some of Curb Your Enthusiasm... so so funny!

That's about it!

News

Charlie Rose is the latest person accused of Sexual Harassment and has since been let go from his show CBS This Morning and his show on PBS. He didn't deny allegations, but he also said what he did wasn't horrible and that he believed he was pursuing shared feelings.

I think what makes me angriest about all of these terrible scandals is that the men accused aren't apologizing... they're making excuses. And what they did was wrong and inexcusable. I'm sorry. I watched Charlie Rose for a few years now... I really like the CBS This Morning Show... and I really liked the way Gayle and Nora handled everything. I really admire both of those women and I'm happy to see them on the show.

In happier news: On ABC they always show a reporter reporting on the balloon inflating with their kids... and the last few years Michelle Charlesworth has gone out with her son and daughter to report. There was a little girl from digital with them... it was really cute. I always like seeing that- I feel bad because my mom and dad were out getting dinner (our traditional pre-thanksgiving KFC feast. Lol.)

Food and Drink
The Thanksgiving sandwich at Starbucks! They only have it until Black Friday... so you only have a couple days to get it... but it's great!

They have good peppermint bark there also... they'll likely have that all through christmas.

I ate Greek Food with my friend... she got a gyro and I got a souvlaki pita pocket... tzatzki sauce was amazing.

I had some Turkey Chili which was delicious... and tonight I'm eating KFC and Starbucks!

Favorites

Community as I've mentioned.

I watched a few videos of the Universal Studios Christmas at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and that's really exciting.

I filmed a couple youtube videos I'm excited about.

Leslie Odom Jr's Simply Christmas Deluxe Edition is a great Christmas CD... as is the Muppet Christmas Carol Christmas CD... I tried listening to that with my niece before and it got her to sleep. Good stuff!

Other Stuff

My niece has been so playful lately and she's been laughing and smiling... I know I've mentioned that but I love playing with her... she's just so fun.

I like hanging out at Starbucks... it is just really really fun.

And I'm excited for black friday deals!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
