Waiting for Exciting Things on My Birthday.

Sooo I thought this would be an interesting thing to post... maybe it isn't lol... idk but here it is anyway... Since I talked about the excitements of my 21st birthday... I thought I would tell you about the times when I had to do something kind of boring before the fun stuff!

So the weekend before my 15th birthday I had a Saturday detention. I know right? I had just gotten to high school- it was when Camera Phones were new and they didn't allow them at school... so they took it away for a month and gave me a Saturday Detention because I forgot to turn the ringer off and someone called in class. Side Note: I've been getting wrong number calls for as long as I've had this phone... so it wasn't even a right number. And Me being the Arrested Development obsessed teen that I was- my ringtone was The Final Countdown... so of corse everyone could hear it and everyone that knew me pretty well knew it was me.

And my parents didn't really care that I got a Saturday... they got me the phone before I went to the school- I was a good kid and I didn't use it in class or anything... so afterwards we took a train to New York because I had really wanted to go to Serendipity for dinner. There was a movie about it, Oprah talked about it and I just really really wanted to see it.

So the train was kind of a wait... it was pretty bad because it was packed and some couple was trying to sit on the bench with us and the woman said "So are you going to move or what" and like... REALLY? I didn't have to move- she could have stood the whole time just because she was being so damn rude... but whatever... I didn't think to just say "Or what" at the time... if it ever happens again I will. I've been thinking about this for over 10 years so clearly... I'm just waiting for someone to be rude so that I can get my revenge on this one lady.

Anyway then guess what was at Serendipity? A wait! That's right so we were waiting in line for a little while longer... we didn't have to wait as long as they said.

So it was good... not my favorite for dinner food... I think I got fried chicken and it was pretty darn good... but they are really more known for desserts... and that's really where they excel. The Frozen Hot Chocolate is a fave- the Ice Cream Sundays are great... this is what they do the best.

So yeah... that was nice and fun and all... I guess I have another story about them for my 16th birthday... but I'll save that for next week.

Anywhoo... my 21st birthday did have a slightly similar story before I went out for drinks at TGI Fridays too... It was a tradition for my friends and I to see the Paranormal Activity movies for my birthday because that's around when they came out... and I'm a big fan of Paranormal Activity- so that was fun... even though I think my 21st birthday was Paranormal Activity 4... and that's the worst one (I didn't see The Ghost Dimension... but 3 is my favorite so I probably should watch that.)

Anyway after watching that I was so excited to just go to dinner and get my drink... but someone came up and asked me for a survey. Then I think I got stopped again inside the mall and someone wanted to sell me that Dead Sea mineral stuff... which I hate... so yeah. It was a wait... but it was worth the wait for that pink punk cosmo at TGI Fridays! That is delicious! I mentioned it in last weeks blog I think but they put the cotton candy in and then pour the cosmo on top... and at the bottom it's just sugar and some alcohol and it's delicious.

Hope you liked this story!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
