Shannon's European Adventures- Story Time!

I feel like I tell these stories often. None of these are crazy stories or interesting things really... they're just kind of funny stories that happened to me... and I'm a little dramatic when I tell them.

1- The Time I almost got lost in the Palace of Versailles
This was just for a brief second... but the group I was with was a little behind the other groups... I think when we were having lunch or buying a snack or something maybe? I think I got a Fanta there... maybe not? I don't know if that's a thing you can do. But point is we thought we were locked in this one room... we weren't. I remember saying "You know how you guys always said you wanted to live in a palace?" Lol.

2. I got lost at the Louvre
Yep... I got separated from the group at the Louvre too... I don't think I was in any group... This story isn't that interesting... but I think the protocall was to go back to the place where I got lost... and I didn't do that... I asked another group what to do and they told me that... I think I went to the gift shop for a second and then went outside to look for them and I found them eventually.

3. I got stuck in an elevator?
I tell this one often lol... one time- last night of the trip and the elevator said "Only 8 people to an elevator" and we tested this... and got stuck. My friends were panicking... I was just laughing- we weren't stuck for a long time and I just thought it was a good time to laugh and make light of the situation.

Funny thing- I did a college paper on that subject... my English Teacher said that wasn't a good choice... but it fit the category another school had... and it worked for that and I got a scholarship for that school... so that's pretty awesome. Lol.

Anyway... there are probably more stories... I'll leave it there. I know these aren't crazy... I was 16 so these are memorable to me... I have some funny stories still.

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
