So overall I love the John Wick series... but this is probably the weakest movie in the series. It's still an important movie that bridges the gap between the first and the third movie really well... but it's my least favorite John Wick movie. Let's talk about what I didn't love about this movie... the plot is much harder to understand than the plot of the first movie. It's got a lot of layers to it and it gets into the world of the movie... which is good but I feel like this one movie was 2 separate movies. Basically the first half of the movie is John being forced into a mission... and then once that ends it's the person that sent him on the mission going after him... and it just isn't quite as exciting. Plus I really thought the ending of the first movie did a good job of wrapping everything up while still showing new problems and those problems weren't really addressed in this movie.
