Why I Love The Disney Store

So my local Disney Store is closing... and there are still going to be a couple opened nearby... but this is the one that I grew up with and it's special to me. Here are some pictures of what The Disney Store looked like in the 90s... So this isn't actually from the 90s based on some of the characters I see in there... but my store had a stuffed animal tower like this that I would always climb in... probably super unsanitary... but fun! Lol.  They were filled with statues of the different Disney Characters... mostly the Fab 5... It looks like they have some other princesses in there too... and it was just a lot of fun. You could pre-order the videotapes and they would come with special toys or lithograph pictures or something. They also always had buttons that you could get when new movies came out. Even when I was a grown up I got one of my friends an Avengers Water Bottle because I knew that was her favorite movie and she used water bottles a lot... anyway they ...

Blogmas Day 20: How To-sday: How To Be an Elf

Today I'm going to talk about being an elf. I'm not an actual elf... technically I'm unemployed and don't even work for Santa... but I'm elf trained. These are some simple ways to spread some holiday cheer... without singing loud for all to hear because that makes me a little bit nervous... not gonna lie. My mom is a very nice person and she always wraps my presents up every Christmas. She has arthritis though, and after we get home from our Christmas Eve dinner at my Nana's she's often tired and wraps presents on top of that. I already have my Christmas Presents from my parents and I know what they are... so last night when she and my dad left the house... I thought maybe she needed help from an elf, so I decided to help her. I wrapped up my presents... didn't tell her about it until she got home. Another thing is get little things for people if you know they would like something. I stopped at 5 below to get some little solar powered shakeys for my ...

Graduation Gift Guide 2016

I might be a little late for this... but I think Graduation parties are still going on... so here are some gift ideas for grads. Money is always traditional. That's probably the most helpful... but there are always other things you can get too. If they're moving out/moving to college a Bed Bath and Beyond Gift Card would be very helpful. Or a Target gift card would be very helpful. My friend got me a really nice jewelry box that said "I have everything I just need somewhere to put it" or something. That was cute. You could do something cute and pinteresty like make a candy board or something. That would be fun! It would be nice to buy them something you know they wouldn't buy themselves. That could be anything... but something you see and you know they would love... but you also know that they wouldn't get for themselves. Hard to decide, but I think that would be thoughtful and nice. If they like a cartoon or have some sort of hobby... you could do...

Valentines Day Gift Guide!

So I did one of these for my other blog and I thought... meh I can do it here too. I'm not a big believer in Valentines Day Gifts... I'm pretty simple and would be fine with dinner and a movie... but not everyone is... so here are a few ideas. If you want to see more beauty related ideas you can check out that blog right  here ... but here we go! Valentines Day Survival Kit  One thing I'm going to recommend that I mentioned in the other post too... but if you have a significant other and your friend is going to be spending Valentines Day alone... maybe for Galentine's Day, February 13th... you could get her a few cute little gifts to cheer her up. I suggested some chick flicks, maybe some magazines or books. Tea or wine maybe... Cookies and candy and some nail polish and face masks would all be good. You could even get a best friends necklace or something. When I came up with this idea I thought "Ohh this might be mean" but I'm single and I thought of i...

Blogmas Day 4: Practical Gift Guide

So there are some gifts that are not practical whatsoever... but sometimes you want to get someone something they'll actually use a lot... so here are some practical gift ideas. 1) A jewelry box- Who doesn't need a place for their jewelry? This is something that always helps and will definitely get used... depending on what kind of jewelry box you get and who you give it to. I wouldn't buy one for your friend unless its like a cute little box with a quote or like something that looks like a book that can store things. That's useful. If you want to get something for a relative, a larger jewelry box would be really nice. My sister let my grandparents know that I needed one for Christmas one year and it was really nice and thoughtful. And I used it for a long time, still have the little box that came with it too. And I've gotten little pretty boxes from friends and I use those a lot too! 2) A Multi Tool- This is so useful. Basically its a pocket knife, but it com...

Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide!

This gift guide is the presents I think would be great for someone's stocking, or if you're doing a secret Santa present, or a gift swap type thing, these would all be perfect. These would even be good presents for teachers or something like that, some of these I've actually gotten when I volunteered to be a kindergarten ccd helper, just cute things like that. 1) If you have any special talents, use them in your gift- If you can knit, you should knit something! If you can bake, your friends will love a baked good. If you are crafty, do a craft of some sort. One of the things I got from a student was a beautiful photo album that said "Miss Shannon" on it. It was so adorable and I really loved it. It's just so fun to get a personalized homemade gift, that it is something you really can't go wrong with. This isn't really necessarily a "stocking stuffer" but I didn't include it in my other gift guide, and since I mentioned teacher presents ...

Gift Guide for Her: Shannoprah's favorite things!

I know its a little early for this, but Black Friday is getting close and there are going to be some awesome deals going on in the world from then till the Christmas season and it would be a good time to shop for people. I'm starting out with the "for Her" Christmas list because I am a girl and its easiest for me to just blog about things that I would want. I know I'm not like every girl in the world, so I don't totally know what is best for everyone, but I'll give you some ideas. I'm going to do a few things, so this is probably going to be my bigger gift post, I'll save stocking stuffers for last and I'm going to try to do a men's gift one also... but I'm pretty crappy with that. Sooo here you go. I'm sort of copying youtube videos, but I'm gonna make it my own. Also my name isn't Shannoprah, its Shannon but since many people don't know who shannon is, Shannoprah sounds a lot better, as people would probably get more excit...
