10 Shows To Watch If You Can't Get Enough Arrested Development

So this is going to be kind of a weird post for me. Back when Arrested Development first started- it was hard to find anything even sort of like it... and there were some good shows- like 30 Rock for example- that I would say "Yes if you like Arrested Development, you'll like this show." And I do LOVE 30 Rock... it might be my third favorite show of all time... BUT I don't necessarily compare it to Arrested Development anymore because... I just think they're wayyyy too different. In fact: I might do a post on "What to Watch if You Can't Get Enough Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" sometime after I review the first part of that show's (rumored) final season... so that will kind of be more 30-rock focused... Anyway back to now where I'm having a little bit of a tough time coming up with shows to recommend... but I'm going to try to come up with a good list...so yeah. 1) The Office  This is maybe the most obvious comparison on the list... The O...

Scribbles About TV: Marlon

This is a new show on NBC that I didn't really know existed... but there was nothing on to watch the night it debuted... and I like Marlon Wayans and so does my mom... so I kept it on and I actually thought it was pretty good. The concept of the show is that Marlon is a youtuber... at least- that's what it was in the first episode at least... the second episode kind of dropped that narrative of it... which was kind of weird. But Marlon and his wife are going through a divorce, but they're still very close and he still misses her.  The chemistry between Marlon and his wife Ashley- played by Essence Atkins is really great. They seem like old friends... and it kind of feels a little like they are still a couple... but it's just kind of enough that it works really well with the show... so I like that a lot. I think they're both really great on the show and it's funny. The friends on the show are really funny too... Diallo Riddle who plays Kevin is really f...

Scribbles About TV: List of renewed shows NBC

So this is the third one of these articles I'm writing... and they were posted out of order accidentally... so this is a bonus post... anyway into the shows! America's Got Talent- No we don't! Jk... I just don't like this show! Better Late Than Never- No idea what this show is... let's see. I think it's a reality show... It stars Henry Winkler, Terry Bradshaw, William Shatner and George Foreman and they go to asia for a month...so it's like An Idiot Abroad but with 4 idiots... lol jk 4 iconic male stars! It looks like it has a pretty high rating on IMDB... so that's good. It sounds pretty funny! The Blacklist- Despite the spinoff getting canned... this is still doing well. Again- must be expensive to make... but it does well and people love it. Blindspot- Not quite sure how this is still on... I did a review of the pilot somewhere here and again, I lost interest as I do with so many shows I say I'll watch again... so yeah. Chicago Fire, Med...

Scribbles About TV: Imaginary Mary Review!

This show looked like it could be either a really great show, or a really horrible show… but I thought it would be promising because it was created by Adam Goldberg and the creator of The Goldbergs… so I thought it might be really good.  Fortunately… It was really good! Mary, the imaginary friend is super cute and funny. Jenna Elfman is really relatable and she does a great job playing this character. Stephen Schnieder, who plays the single father that she’s dating is super hot… the kids are funny and cute too… it’s just a good cast overall and well thought out.  Jenna Elfman’s character Alice is flawed… but in a relatable way. She knows the guy she’s dating has 3 kids and she continues to get serious with him… but she freaks out when his kids come over and he suggests meeting them. When she actually does meet them- no spoilers- but they don’t exactly get along that well. The kids are more difficult than she was expecting… and she’s also kind of difficult… so it made sense. I...

Scribbles About TV! Tv Recap 2.12.17-2.16.17

Here's a little recap of all the shows I watched during the week that are still currently on TV. Sunday  I don't really watch anything on Sunday's. I like Last Man On Earth and some other shows on Sunday I think... I just always forget to watch and I don't have Hulu anymore... and I don't think they're on Netflix or Amazon Prime... so there is just a lot that I miss... that I should watch and catch up on... but I don't. Monday  I really liked Jane The Virgin... I was excited for this episode... and I thought they did a good job of it! I liked seeing the difference between Jane and Petra and how they've gotten closer through the years. I liked Zen Rafael after prison... and I'm still kind of Team Rafael... I wanted Jane to be with both of them to be honest... and I guess this is the only way she can be now lol. Not "lol" this is nothing to laugh at... but it was sweet seeing how they interacted and how Petra and her were close... and ...

Scribbles About TV: Supernatural Season 1 part 2

Faith  This episode was good. Also kind of X-files-y. I really liked it. I liked that Sam knew what it was right away but there was still a twist element to it of who was doing it and who had to die for it and stuff like that. And this was one I kind of bought. I believe in miracles and I'm sure they happen every day... but I think a lot of people exploit the belief in miracles for profit and I also think people rely too heavily on miracles and don't do anything about it. Its like hoping you win the lottery but never buying a ticket. Miracles could happen... but if theres a plan b that you can do to help in the event that you don't win the lottery... like getting a job, saving money... those sorts of things... That helps a lot. Also I loved Layla, I thought she and Dean had great chemistry and I loved that her mom just did not like Dean. It seemed very real and I kinda hope they bring Layla back. She was good. Route 666  I was excited by the name of this one. I though...

Scribbles About TV: CBS Fall Schedule 2015

So this is one of the networks who's new shows I am most excited about. Theres at least one that I want to see... I thought Supergirl was supposed to be on too? Okay thats October 30th. Alrighty. I'm going to go with the October 30th version. Basically in the September fall Schedule The Big Bang Theory and Life in Pieces are on Mondays and Thursday Night Football is on on Thursdays. And some of the other comedies aren't on like 2 Broke Girls, Mom, Mike and Molly and things like that... so lets get to the October 30th version cause that is more interesting. Monday-  8pm Supergirl- This idea is exciting and I definitely want to watch it. It can really be done so wrong though that I'm not going to expect much. I wish it were on the CW with their DC Universe Shows... but sadly I don't think this will be a part of that... Maybe idk. Seems like DC is in the TV Game stepping it up after Marvel. This starts October 26th, so I will definitely be reviewing that on the 27t...

Scribbles About TV: ABC Primetime Fall Schedule 2015

So right now I'm going to just review what I think of all the new shows coming this year for tv look like. I'm going to break it down by channels and then what night has on each night and time and yeah. I'm just going off of Eastern time because thats my time zone. Its the same on the west coast and its an hour earlier for central... which you probably know... but whatever. Lol. I just don't want to put 7/6c cause I don't want to. Lol.  And it took me a while to do ABC's so I'm going to post separate posts on all of them... yeah. This will be fall schedule week. ABC Is today, tomorrow will be CBS then NBC then Fox and I'll wrap it up with The CW. If you'd like to view shows that aren't listed yet or see trailers, check it out right  here ABC  Sunday 7pm- America's Funniest Home Videos- Nice to see this is still on... although it is slightly irrelevant thanks to youtube. I still watch it from time to time because nothing is on on sunday...

Scribbles About TV: 2nd week of April 2015

Started off watching The Grace Helbig show because I forgot it was on on Friday and I missed it, so I watched it basically right after I posted my scribbles about TV last week. I love this show. Its such a good talk show. Very different than any other show out right now... I compare it a little to Comedy Bang Bang but its really a lot different still, its just similar in set to CBB I guess. If you like talk shows and the internet, this is a good show for you! The Last Man on Earth. Favorite show currently. I like it at an hour long, but I can see where it is a little much. I'm happy it got renewed for a second season already. I really didn't think this would be that good, but its awesome and I've really been liking it. I love that Carol added a dog to the Monet painting. I watched Tuesdays New Girl episode. Really funny. I love Winston and his date story was funny. I really liked the Jess and Fawn story and I really felt Jess's side of the argument was really relata...

Scribbles about TV: First Full Week of April 2015

I didn't watch much this week... so yeah. Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon. Amazing this week. I was disappointed in Madonna's performance... but they're still funny shows that I liked a lot. I actually watched Kat Dennings on Kelly and Michael too cause she was on a lot of shows this week and I like her. So yeah. Watched that. I watched Mike and Molly and it was actually pretty funny. Don't watch it all the time, but I liked it! I watched The Middle, The Goldbergs Modern Family and Blackish. All were really funny this week. I think Blackish was my favorite... The Golbergs is my favorite show of all of those, but Blackish was really funny this week and had a cameo with Brandi Maxxx from Parks and Rec, so that was cool. Shark Tank! I love Shark Tank its the only reality show that I kind of like... but its more of a competition than a reality show, but its really good. And Flight of The Conchords cause I love it. I'm pretty sure that was it... I missed New Girl...

Scribbles about TV: End of March/Start of April

I feel like I didn't watch a ton of TV this week. A lot of my favorite shows just ended or had a series finale... but yeah.  Sunday I think I watched Once Upon A Time, I need to catch up a little bit on that, which I can do soon cause I only missed a few episodes and I think its not going to be on for a couple of weeks I think. I also watched my favorite show currently on Television television, The Last Man On Earth. Cannot stress how brilliant this show is. If you haven't seen it yet, it is a MUST see! Will Forte is brilliant and the rest of the cast is amazing too. Its a small cast obviously, its called The Last Man on Earth... but everyone on it is brilliant. Its incredibly well written and I just love it. Monday I watched Two Broke Girls, which I don't always watch. Its pretty funny though. I used to love this show, but it kind of got on the back burner... sometimes the jokes are a little repetitive. Its cute though and fun to watch, so I like that. Missed Saul on M...

Scribbles About TV: End of March 2015

I watched a lot of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I love this show. I can't stop watching it! Its really good! I watched this weeks Once Upon A Time and it was really good. I didn't see it last week. I almost gave up on it... but I really liked the Ursula story. It was really good. Its a good show. I think I need to watch what I missed too... so yeah. Missed Bob's Burgers... but I did not miss my favorite show currently on television, and that is The Last Man on Earth. I watched it on Sunday and I like it so much I went back and watched some other episodes on Monday. Such a funny show and really well done. I didn't think it would be a great concept, I thought it'd get boring... but every week when its over I want a little more. And that is the sign of a fantastic show in my eyes. I watched Two Broke Girls which I haven't seen in a really long time. I don't find it that funny... but it was the only thing on... so I watched it. I also watched a re-run of Sha...

Scribbles about TV: 3rd week of Feb 2015

So the week started out pretty good. I watched John Mullaney's New In Town. Its really funny. Mullaney is adorable and I think his stand up is really funny. I heard little bits of it before, and I really liked it, so I watched the full thing now, and its good. I watched some of Halloweentown, the old Disney movie... but I did get a little bored. I didn't actually finish it, I just watched up until the first commercial, so really nothing at all... but you know. Its a thing. Comedy Central had a pretty good movie marathon on on Valentines day and I watched the tail end of it, so I saw some of the dirtier movies. I watched Mean Girls, The Hangover and for the first time I watched Zach and Miri Make A Porno. I've wanted to see that movie for a long time, but I wasn't 17 when it came out... so that didn't happen. Lol. I saw it on Comedy Central, so its basically a G-Rated version... but its okay. I liked it overall. And then after all of those movies they had some ...

Scribbles about TV: 2nd week of Feb

So here is what I watched this lovely cold Valentine's week. I watched Grey's Anatomy from last week. I had stopped watching this show for a while, but when I was taking my improv class on Thursdays last semester it was usually on when I got home from class and I was eating dinner... and I've gotten attached, so I don't totally know who everyone is or everything that is happening... but I like it. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD, those are probably the best, so I may rewatch those and catch up a little bit... there are 11 seasons now, so I have a lot of catching up... but its such a good show. On shows like Desperate Housewives and soap operas and even Jane The Virgin right now, there are a lot of storylines that are just stupid. This has never been one of those shows in my opinion.... so yeah. I like it.  I also watched some Comedy Bang Bang. There were some episodes I had dvred that I didn't watch yet, so I caught up on those. Always a funny show. I ment...

Scribbles about TV: What I watched this week. (First week of Feb 2015)

I've decided to change the name about this just to Scribbles about TV. Its just easier, also instead of using the actual date... I'm just going to say what week it is in the month so that it won't be quite as confusing. If this gets too confusing, I'll change it back... but for now, this is the last What I watched This Week... and the first Scribbles about TV in this format. So this week started with the Super Bowl... which was kind of exciting. As someone that doesn't like football much, I thought it was a fun and exciting game. Lots of things happened. It was quite good. I have a full review on it right  Here . I go over a little bit of everything and what I thought about it. Also random Super Bowl thing I forgot about in my review... did anyone else see that fight that broke out towards the end? A bunch of seahawks were physically fighting a bunch of Patriots. I think a Patriot was antagonizing a Seahawk and it ended up with a big fight between everyone. It w...

What I watched This Week (2/1/14)

This week is a bit more exciting because not everything is a repeat... But... I started off watching some repeats. Everybody Loves Raymond was on and for some reason whenever I watch this show, I pretty much always see the same few episodes. Which is good because it happens to be one of my favorites. The first one had everyone in the family gossiping about each other and its super funny. Then Robert tried to be a model, but the agency ripped him off. And then, I barely paid attention to this one, but Robert and Raymond were upset because Frank was like a father to someone else that was about their age, and they wondered why he was never like that to them. I forgot how much I like this show. Robert is one of my favorites and I still love when he's in animated movies and such. I also watched... shocker... MORE COMEDY BANG BANG! I saw a few episodes that were on IFC that I hadn't seen yet and I'm sure I'll watch some more on Netflix as the week (and snowpocolypse) co...

Woman Crush Wednesday: Leslie Knope

Leslie Knope is probably my favorite female character of all time... here is why shes' awesome. 1) She is an amazing best friend- She is such a good friend to Ann Perkins and pretty much everyone else in her life. Its no wonder why Jeremy Jamm thinks of her as his best friend! She is so nice and thoughtful and will do anything for her friends and go a thousand times above and beyond and outdo herself every year. Thats how good she is as a friend. And even more than that, she can be friends with absolutely anybody, even if they are complete opposites or have nothing in common. Leslie and Ron are opposed on everything, and yet somehow they're amazingly good friends. Leslie and April really have nothing in common, but they're best friends too. Its not something everyone can do, but Leslie can.  2) She might be "bossy" or "stubborn" but with good reason- If someone were to call Leslie Knope either of those words, I would personally take offense. It isn...

What I watched this week: 1/25/15

So what I've kind of been doing lately is just watching a bunch of things I've been watching throughout the week. And by "a week" I mean just everything I've watched from the last post to what I've watched this post... I kind of forgot a couple things I watched before I posted the last blog of what I've watched, I watched 2 shows on Tru TV, One of which I liked one that I didn't. The one I didn't like was World's Dumbest. I've watched World's Dumbest infomercials before, and I liked that. This one was World's Dumbest Hot Shots. It was just weird and not funny, mostly just people falling and hurting themselves...  just weird. The comedians in it were not the best. On a brighter note however, I finally watched Impractical Jokers, which my cousins told me about like over a year ago and it was really funny. Basically its a prank show with these four people doing pranks that make themselves look more dumb than anything. They do crazy t...
