Fancy, But Simple Food Recipe: Elevated Toast with Nutella

I made some really yummy toast recently... and the recipe is probably pretty obvious by the picture... but just in case you didn't know you could make toast super fancy and super yummy... here ya go! Anyone can do this... and you can probably impress whoever it is you're making toast for! First off I toasted the bread. Toast it to your liking... I like it a little bit on the golden brown side. I also just used regular white bread- but you could probably change it to your liking as well. Next up I put some peanut butter on the bread. Then I spread some Nutella on the bread. I've been a little bit obsessed with Nutella since discovering Frutta Bowls... so Nutella is definitely my favorite fruit... Then I just cut up some strawberries and blueberries and added them on top of the bread too. And that was it! If I was a little hungrier I would have maybe added some more fruit on the side... and if I was making it for someone else- I'd probably plate it a little bit ...

Scribbles About Food: Brunch at Cheesecake Factory- Chicken and Waffles Benedict

Cheesecake Factory is a pretty popular restaurant... and the selection can be pretty overwhelming, so I thought I'd do a review on this brunch special that I had this weekend... just because. I'm not that into big restaurant chains... but Cheesecake Factory is pretty good, so I thought why not? Plus I'll remember if I liked it or not. Note: I ordered the Eggs Benedict on the side because I'm not a fan of eggs. I believe if you order it all together they'll put the egg and hollandaise sauce on top of the chicken, I prefer syrup with my waffles anyway so I just asked for syrup and I put that on top of the chicken and waffles. I still wanted to order the egg because I figured it wouldn't cost any less without the egg, so I might as well give the egg a try too. And honestly... the eggs were okay! I'd still probably prefer it on the side and I don't think the hollandaise sauce really worked with it that way. I could see that being good on toast... but yea...

Scribbles About Food: Cap'n Crunch Sprinkle Donuts

I don't know if this cereal is LTD or not... but run to your grocery stores and get it right now because it is wonderful. So I seem to remember Cap'n Crunch doing a chocolate donut cereal once upon a time... and I think they still have it every so often... but this donut cereal is everything. It tastes more like regular cap'n crunch with sprinkles more so than donuts... but its good. It has like a cupcake type of flavor to it. There used to be a cupcake fruity pebbles cereal... its a little like that but these are a little better because they're bigger and its just a little bit more flavorful than the little cupcake pebbles. It is a little misleading though, if you look at the back of the package there are pictures of all different kinds of donuts in different colors and what looks like different flavors. Like there are berry and chocolate and stuff like that... I think that would have been cool... but mixed together, maybe not so much. Maybe if they just had the ...

Scribbles about Food: Review of Dunkin Donuts Cronuts

Heyyyyy everyone, I like to eat things and I happen to love all the limited edition types of things that they have at dunkin donuts and the like. This month they came up with a croissant donut aka a cronut. This was something I was skeptical about when I first heard about it. I didn't think the combo would work together... But after tasting the Crumbs "Crumb-nuts" I was converted. It's just such a light and fluffy delicious treat and I totally fell in love. I didn't think that the cronut would be sweet enough for my liking. I thought it would be a lot more like a croissant than a donut. With the crumbs cronut... Which you can't get anymore anyway... It was very sweet and flaky but not the type of flaky I expected. I thought it would be more crusty type of flaky like Baklava or like a regular croissant but it's actually very bready and doughy. Because it is Dunkin Donuts it is much more like a donut than a croissant. If you like glazed donuts,  you will...
