This is a really sweet story I heard on the news this morning... so I thought I'd share it to get everyone in the holiday spirit. A man was cleaning up his fireplace when he noticed a letter to Santa that was in his fireplace from 1907. It was from a 10 year old Irish girl at the time, she didn't ask for anything... but she wanted Santa to get "A wagon for her brother, even though I know you can't afford it." And she told Santa to "Please Remember The Poor." It was a very mature note from a 10 year old girl, who was thinking of others before herself. In Ireland it is tradition to send letters to Santa up the Chimney, so that is how it ended up in the fireplace. When the man saw the letter, he was intrigued and wanted to know more about this woman. He looked her up and saw that she had died in 1979 at the age of 82. And she was buried, and her husband had a headstone, and there was a place on the headstone for her name... but she didn't have her n...
