Scribbles About Food: Brennan's Review

So Brennan's is a Local Steakhouse near me... and now I like steak... so I thought I would review. I ordered the Filet Mignon with a baked potato. It also came with a salad... I wasn't really expecting it to come with a salad or a side. The Menu doesn't mention that entrees come with a side or a salad- it just shows the different types of Steak, Seafood, or Chicken you can order and then it gives a list of sharable sides you can order... so I was going to share a side with my parents... but instead- they let you pick out a side for yourself and a salad... which I guess is a good thing- but it was just a little unexpected. Let's start with the salad. I ordered the mixed green salad with the balsamic... it was really tasty! It came with a nice size tomato... I didn't feel like a tomato that night- so I gave it to my mom... but she said it was really good and it looked nice and juicy. The balsamic was nice, they put just the right amount on the salad... and the mix...

Scribbles About Food: Bahrs Oktoberfest Menu

Since I'm doing more restaurant reviews, I thought I'd do one a little more local for me. Bahrs landing is a historic seafood restaurant in NJ. Close to the Atlantic Highlands ferries, so if you are coming into Jersey from NY or about to leave NJ for NY... this isn't too far away! And it has a lot of good food in general... and I'll probably review some of the other things... but my favorite is the Oktoberfest Menu. As much as I like seafood, and as fresh as their seafood is... sometimes in the winter I don't want seafood and this menu is really good for winter. And I think you can get seafood from this menu... but that isn't what I'll be talking about today! Appetizers  They have giant pretzels! I like theirs... I didn't eat a lot when we ordered this last time because I had a pretzel with a different app that I had... but it was really good. I think it came with some sort of cheese... not totally sure. It was big and fun to share... so that's ...
