So I did MANY recaps of This is Us last year... but this year I just kind of didn't watch it. It's a great show and everything... but they just kind of milked that story with Jack's death WAYYYYY too long and it just made me a little bit impatient and... we already 90% knew last year... I'm not sure why it was such a huge reveal... but it was still a good episode nonetheless. This was a really great "after the super bowl" show because anyone could really enjoy it. I haven't seen the show this season and I understood and enjoyed all of it... I think if it was your first time watching you could still enjoy it. If you're a fan and loyal viewer- obviously you would probably be satisfied with getting some answers as to what happened for Jack's Death. So I think that this was a really good episode for after the super bowl. And This is Us usually follows a few different substories... This one we had the flashback to Jack's Death... then we had how...

Alllright! Now for my favorite type of blog maybe? A big TV event happens and this is my scoop about it! And The Superbowl might just be the biggest event on TV... so I've got a lot to talk about. Now I'm not a big football fan... but I have to admit every time the Superbowl comes on... I actually enjoy watching it. The games are usually pretty exciting and this time especially I thought "huh, maybe I'll watch next year." It was a genuinely interesting game that made me want to watch more games! And I don't totally understand football... but basically Philly did really good in the first 2 quarters... and then in the 3rd and 4th the Patriots picked up a bit of momentum... the last few superbowls the Patriots have been in have been pretty big comeback games... so I wouldn't have been surprised if that happened again- but I was rooting for the Eagles... I root against New England teams typically as someone from New Jersey... so yeah. I also just don't...

1) There wasn't a lot of good Pop Culture News this week... so I thought I would do another one of these types of posts because I still wanted to post something.  2) I got a bunch of Aromatherapy Lotions during the Bath and Body Works Lotion Sale... I think last year it was only the Signature Collection lotions- but this year it included the Aromatherapy and the Triple Moisture Body Cream... so I thought that was kind of exciting- even thought it was 3.95 instead of the $3 it usually is... I'm not mad about it lol.  3) I thought today was supposed to be a little chillier than it was yesterday... but I didn't think it was. Wind wasn't as strong... so yeah.  4) Since it's November 12th, I thought I'd do 12 things instead of 10... so that's why I have 12 things.  5) I'm watching The Good Place right now... I was skeptical about this season... but I think it's the best season yet. It reminds me a little of Parks and Rec and Community combi...

So... I feel like I don't have a lot to say about the Emmy's. I didn't watch the whole thing... I don't watch all of the shows- I do watch quite a few though... so I kind of know what was going on... but I still have some thoughts... just very briefly lol. Some shows I was excited were nominated: Stranger Things, that's a great show. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was great this season and I was happy that Titus Burgess and Ellie Kemper were both nominated... I really wanted Titus to win- he's just so funny on Kimmy Schmidt and his character was so real and relatable this season too... the episode with the Lindas was so funny. I have an Aunt Linda and I told her about it and she thought that was really funny. I think she's looking to join the council of Linda's lol. Even though I was rooting for Ellie Kemper this year... I think Tracee Ellis Ross deserves an Emmy for Blackish. She deserved one for the first season- and with this season of Blackish being t...

Alright... so I think I'm combining some weeks here so this might be extra long... but we'll see what happens I guess? Monday 2/20  Jane The Virgin-  This was a good episode. It gives us more insight into what Jane is like now. We can see her getting over Michael's death and stopping her therapy treatments because she thinks she is ready for that... and I think they did that in a pretty good way. It was nice to show that Jane does get anxiety and Panic attacks and what she can do to help... and how she doesn't always handle it the best. Side note: I kind of think Jane's going to date that guy... and I don't totally trust him... I'm still team Raphael even though it looks like he's been up to some shady business.... and I love Petra. Idk why, I think even though I might seem like I'm like Jane... I'm really just like Petra. Lol. Tuesday 2/21  The Middle-  I didn't fully pay attention to this show... I was eating dinner at the time......

Here's a little recap of all the shows I watched during the week that are still currently on TV. Sunday  I don't really watch anything on Sunday's. I like Last Man On Earth and some other shows on Sunday I think... I just always forget to watch and I don't have Hulu anymore... and I don't think they're on Netflix or Amazon Prime... so there is just a lot that I miss... that I should watch and catch up on... but I don't. Monday  I really liked Jane The Virgin... I was excited for this episode... and I thought they did a good job of it! I liked seeing the difference between Jane and Petra and how they've gotten closer through the years. I liked Zen Rafael after prison... and I'm still kind of Team Rafael... I wanted Jane to be with both of them to be honest... and I guess this is the only way she can be now lol. Not "lol" this is nothing to laugh at... but it was sweet seeing how they interacted and how Petra and her were close... and ...

I really liked this episode of This Is Us and I'm even more excited for the next episode. I thought it was an exciting premiere, I'm going to sort of talk about my favorite stories to my least favorite ones... but in general I thought that they were all really really good. I love this show... so it was great. Jack and Rebecca Storyline  This was one of my favorites of the Jack and Rebecca stories. I really liked seeing what happened to Rebecca when she found out that she was having triplets... its a scary and hard thing to imagine and they showed all of their struggles in a really real way. And there was a lot of background on the two characters in this episode. I didn't know about Jack's relationship with his abusive father... and in the Thanksgiving episode we got a little bit of information about Rebecca's mother not being the best grandma ever... but wow! Was she wicked in this episode! You can even see some explanation of the way that Rebecca is with Kate. ...

So this is a little bit different... I might do some more Christmas Scribbles About TV... But I like This is Us so much and I've really been loving all of their holiday episodes so much that I thought I would do a whole post dedicated to the episode. And this is the Winter Finale of the show also... so it did kind of end on a cliffhanger... and I have some thoughts on that... but it was a really good episode. And I don't even really know where to start on describing the episode... the storyline in the past was focused on the family all at the hospital because Kate had to get her appendix taken out on Christmas Eve. Rebecca gave Kate a branch of a Christmas tree and said that it had Christmas Magic on it and nothing bad happens on Christmas Eve. Here we can see how attached Kevin is to his sister... he doesn't want to leave her side when she is being taken into the ER and he doesn't really talk much while they are in the ER. I kind of wish they focused a little more ...

Favorites  This American Horror Story Podcast- I really like American Horror Story... but I'm also a pretty big fan of this podcast for it. I've  been  really into it right now in particular... so this podcast has kind of helped me with my addiction. I like it a lot!  The Visit- I've been watching a lot of Halloween movies... this one was my favorite so far I think. I'll have a little scribbles about movies about it in a little bit... but I really really liked it! It was mostly a funny movie... but the characters were well developed and it was just a really scary end that I was really surprised by! Its really a good movie.  This is Us- I really like where this show is going. Its only on the third episode... but its just been really really good and I'm excited to continue watching it. There are lots of twists in all the story lines and every episode has sort of a twist... and there are lots of characters but they're really great character...
