Scribbles About TV: This is Us: Midseason Premiere Review *Spoilers*

I really liked this episode of This Is Us and I'm even more excited for the next episode. I thought it was an exciting premiere, I'm going to sort of talk about my favorite stories to my least favorite ones... but in general I thought that they were all really really good. I love this show... so it was great.

Jack and Rebecca Storyline

This was one of my favorites of the Jack and Rebecca stories. I really liked seeing what happened to Rebecca when she found out that she was having triplets... its a scary and hard thing to imagine and they showed all of their struggles in a really real way. And there was a lot of background on the two characters in this episode. I didn't know about Jack's relationship with his abusive father... and in the Thanksgiving episode we got a little bit of information about Rebecca's mother not being the best grandma ever... but wow! Was she wicked in this episode! You can even see some explanation of the way that Rebecca is with Kate. Her mom ordered the salad for her and Rebecca didn't want the Salad... and she's pregnant with triplets! She needs more than a salad!

And for Jack to actually borrow money from his father... you can see how desperate he was. And he wouldn't tell his dad about his family... it was sad and hard to watch... and I kind of wonder what happened to Jack's mother... if his father killed her or something... idk. It's a sad story and I'm guessing they'll show more of it.

Kate's Story

Kate had the big cliffhanger of last episode... and I liked the way it was resolved. It wasn't very shocking or dramatic... but I'm happy he lived and I'm happy that he said "I love you" to Kate and then Kate freaked out because she couldn't quite say it back when he was going into surgery... even though she felt it... and it was just really nice. The moment where she thinks he's sleeping and she tells him she loves him. And when she called her brothers because she didn't know what to do. It was really sweet and relatable.

Also CAN WE TALK ABOUT KATE'S MAKEUP! Omg her contour... Her makeup is always so flawless. I have a slight woman crush on Chrissy Metz. I don't know her that much as an actress outside of this show and American Horror story... but I really like her!

Randall's Story

I love how much Randall cares about everyone and how much he worries about everyone. And when his father goes out on a date with a man he really really tries to relate to Jesse... and he likes Jesse... but he just worries so much about his father who is dying out with this man... and he wants to see his father as much as he can... and it's heartbreaking when his father says that he doesn't want Randall to see him dying and that he knows Jesse can handle it better. It's just really sad. I liked this a lot.

Kevin's Story

I'm mad at Kevin which is why he's last. He has to choose between Olivia and Sloane... and he does so in the worst and most insensitive way possible and broke both of their hearts. And I'm just there like "Really Kevin? Really????" Personally... I don't like Olivia... I don't think she's changed. I think Sloane is great and I love that she actually wrote the play and performs in it with Kevin and that he is so dedicated to this play and restoring his career as a more serious actor... and he might have messed everything up for himself with his relationships and with the play. And it sucks! You suck Kevin! Ugh! Can't wait to see his story next week... and I understand from his childhood that this is him as an adult... its just sad... and was probably the least relatable and the least interesting of the stories... not that it was a bad story... I still really liked it... but there's a lot going on in this show and this just didn't quite stack up!

So that is it! Let me know if you liked it!

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
