So... I thought I'd review an Olive Garden Sandwich because I was curious about it since it was released. I don't have pictures of anything... I wish I did... I debated posting this because there were no pictures... but I don't think I'm going to order this again... so yeah.
Salad and Breadsticks
First let's talk about the Salad and the breadsticks. You can get a soup or salad with every order and you always get breadsticks. I love the breadsticks! They're nice and warm and not overly garlic-y but not too garlic-y. I just like them. And I like the salad too... its not the freshest salad... it tastes good though. I like it. I get it without olives because I don't like olives.
Chicken Parm Breadstick Sandwich and Fries
So this sandwich wasn't bad... but I don't think I'm a big fan of Olive Garden's tomato sauce... there's nothing really awful about it... but its a little much. It didn't have a bad taste or anything... it's just kind of tomato-y. I'm not sure how some tomato sauce can be more or less tomato-y than others... but this was especially tomato-y and it just wasn't my favorite.
I liked the bread. It wasn't just like the breadsticks that they always serve... it was a sandwich bread that was kind of the same consistency as the breadsticks... and that was pretty good. I liked the texture and it wasn't bad with the sandwich.
The cheese on the sandwich was pretty good... not a whole lot, most chicken parm sandwiches kind of don't have the most cheese... it is what it is. The cheese gets lost in the bread a little bit... but this wasn't too bad... it was just overwhelmingly tomato-y.
The main reason I ordered this sandwich was because of the fries... I really wanted fries that day... and I LOVED their fries! They were nice and crispy and thin... and really really yummy. Salty, but not too salty. The ketchup was where the over- tomato-yness started for real though... cause that ketchup tasted extra tomato-y... Idk if it was regular Heinz... didn't taste like it... really not sure about it.
So yeah... that's kind of everything. Not my favorite... not something I'd order again... let me check Olive Garden's Menu to see what other sandwiches they might have... they have another Spicy Calibran sandwich... not sure what that is... but it might not have tomato sauce... so yeah? That might be good... I just want to get those fries again. Lol.
BTW- This was a lunch combo where you can get soup or salad and then a lunch option. I thought you used to always get salad with it... but yeah. I guess not?
