Chart Chat- 1/30/17

10) Gold- Never heard of this movie! It sounds kind of boring from the IMDB description. It's basically about finding Gold... it says released in 2016... so that's weird. But yeah. Doesn't sound like something I'm going to watch. But good it's in the top 10. Ohhh Matthew McConauhey and Bryce Dallas Howard are in it. Might be good. Lol.

9) Monster Trucks- Really shocked this movie did so badly! I really thought it looked good! I think that MacGyver guy is going to be a big star... mostly because he's hot... and I just thought this would be more of a thing.

8) Rogue One- I love Star Wars! Hopefully I can see this movie before it's out of theaters... don't think I will... but hopefully I don't get spoiled at least. It looks really good. I recently rewatched the originals... so this is probably a good time for me to see it.

7) Sing- The soundtrack for this movie is amazing! I want to see the movie... don't think I will in theaters, but I love the soundtrack so much that I'm happy about it.

6) xXx: Return of Xander Cage- This kind of makes me feel old... but I don't think they've made nearly as many of these movies. Vin Diesel is hot. January is a weird month for movies.

5) La La Land- Still looking forward to seeing this... hopefully before the Oscars! It's a musical and Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are in it! I've talked about this a lot and I still am because it is still that good!

4) Resident Evil: The Final Chapter- No real interest in this... but it is the last one (until they make another.) That kinda makes me feel old... I remember when the first one came out and seeing the posters and they've made a lot more since then. It's still doing pretty well... so that is good at least!

3) Hidden Figures- This movie looks great! Excited so many people are actually interested in hearing this story that would have been hidden otherwise. So I'm happy for this!

2) A Dog's Purpose- Surprised this is doing so well because of the boycott... but honestly... I don't think the TMZ video was a very accurate representation of what happened. It was 2 videos edited together to make it look bad... and it still might have been a problem, but I don't think that they forced the dog in the water the same day that the video was showing it... idk what to think. Most of the cast and crew involved apologized for the tape... I still kind of want to see the movie...but it's unlikely I'll see it in theaters. It looks wayyy too sad for me though.

1) Split- I'm a little surprised that there wasn't more backlash to this movie. It looks like a horror movie along the lines of Don't Breathe, which was popular in late 2016. Actually... it looks exactly like that but instead of a blind person, the killer has split personalities. While this is very scary... there are people that do have Split Personalities in real life... and I feel like it's just a trope for Horror movies at this point and maybe we need to be more educated about mental illness and see it as something other than just a horror story. Other than that... it looked like a good enough movie... and if it was on and I felt like watching a horror movie... maybe I'd watch it... I just feel like there could be something we could do about this.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
