Scribbles About Food: Review: Bradley Beach Elbow Room Bar and Kitchen Elbows and Cheese

So I thought I would do a little review of The Elbow Room Bar and Kitchen in Bradley Beach. This is not the chain restaurant called The Elbow Room... although it is sort of like a comfort food restaurant... it isn't all Mac and Cheese like the chain restaurant... but I figured I would order their signature Macaroni and Cheese dish anyway.

I'm picky with my cheeses so I asked what cheeses they had in their Mac and Cheese beforehand... I think it was Cheddar, Jack and something else... so just regular cheeses... nothing spicy, nothing bitey... no swiss cheese or parmesan or anything like that... just regular macaroni and cheese... which I like... but at the same time... it was just kind of regular macaroni and cheese. You could make it at home if you wanted to... its just pretty ordinary Mac and Cheese... it wasn't terrible and it was a good sized portion... but it was regular Mac and Cheese for like $9. Not quite sure its worth that.

It's also a lot of food... I was very hungry so I kind of just kept eating it and then I was like "Ohh... this is a lot of cheese!" And I was starting to get kind of thirsty and kind of just like I had wayyy to much cheese.

They had different flavors of Mac and Cheese on the menu as well... but it was on the specials menu. They had Pulled Pork with Mac and cheese... It just kind of was what it was...

So for the place to be called The Elbow Room... I was expecting more Mac and Cheese options... and even though I'm a boring Mac and cheese person, I kind of wanted a more interesting Mac and Cheese. And this was just okay. I did like it better than the chain restaurant because they had some cheeses I don't like in the cheese I think. The chain just wasn't my thing... and while I wasn't overly impressed with this dish... it wasn't bad. I ate the whole thing and was like "wow that was good." But then I thought about it more and I was like "hmm... I was expecting a little more."

The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. It was cozy, very dark... but it was a fun place to just kind of catch up with friends. The prices were okay... although for what you're getting I guess its a little bit high when its like... meh I could have got like 3 boxes of Kraft for this price! Lol.

The service at the restaurant was good too. The girl checked to see what types of cheeses there were in the Mac and cheese. Not every restaurant would do that. The bathrooms were clean according to my friend... it was nice.

So yeah! That is everything... let me know if there is anything else to order here that I might like better or what you thought of it... or how you like your Mac and Cheese! I'd love to know. Fun night either way.

They have dessert and alcohol too... I would usually say yes get dessert... but after all that cheese I was feeling quite full. Maybe not the best thing to order if you're on a date... which I wasn't... but I was like "ohhh this is a cute date spot" and then its like "Yeah... but you'd have to poop after." so... there's that. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
