Scribbles About TV: Great News

This is NBC's newest comedy and I was pretty excited about it... it looked funny... but it also looked like maybe it could have been bad... but everyone in it and everyone involved in making it is super funny... so I thought it would be something fun to review. Basic plot of the movie: A grown woman has a close relationship with her helicopter mom... but she wants to get away from her kind of sort of- but her mom gets an internship at the news studio that she works at. And her mom is played by the amazing Andrea Martin. So I think the cast of this show is really funny. Andrea Martin, Briga Heelan, John Michael Higgins, Nicole Ritchie, Adam Campbell and Horatio Sanz... all super super funny! John Michael Higgins particularly in kind of a starring role here... He really the star of the show... but he has a much more prominent part than he usually has... and he is so good in that role. He's just great! And is really perfect for this role. I love Andrea Martin in My Big Fat G...

Scribbles about TV: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Review

Heyyy guys! I wasn't sure when I was going to finish Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It was developed for Network Television, so I wasn't going to binge-watch it... but honestly I can't help myself. If its there to binge, bingers gonna binge. I think I'm going to watch it again one more time whole... cause I already started to do that, and then watch it on a more weekly basis. Kind of gives you an idea as to how much I like this series as I'm already talking about watching the entire season 3 times... So the show is about a regular girl that was taken into a cult when she was a teenager and kept underground until she was 29 years old... and she escapes and realizes that she doesn't want to just be a "mole woman" her whole life. She wants to escape her past in Iowa, where she was taken and live in New York City. And she's an adult with an adult brain and everything, but she doesn't understand the world today... so hijinx happens. Lol. She goes to...

Shannon Reviews: Muppets Most Wanted

I absolutely love the muppets and I was soooo excited for this movie. It has my two favorite female actresses, Tina Fey and Miss Piggy and sooo many more funny people in it and the muppets are amazing and it just looked overall like a really great fun movie. And it was a really great and fun movie. The music was amazing, I'm a big fan of Flight of The Conchords, so of corse I was very excited that Brett McKenzie did the music for this and the other recent muppet movie. I think he did a fantastic job of making it slightly whimsical and funny. I thought that all the non muppet cast members did an amazing job singing as well. Josh Groban and Jemaine Clement were the only two professional singers that I think were in the movie, but the whole cast did a great job. Ricky Gervais was really fantastic in my opinion. I'm not totally sure that they all did their own singing come to think of it... But if they did they did a great job! And I was a little sad that Jason Segal and Amy Ad...

Woman Crush Wednesday- Tina Fey! (100TH POST!!!!!)

This is my 100th post so I figured I'd make this a very long awaited and incredible post about my #1 woman crush and idol the lovely and talented Miss Tina Fey. I love Tina Fey she is brilliant and beautiful and funny. Words cannot describe my admiration for Tina Fey. She's just the best. This may be an uneventful 100th post because idk where to even begin with this... I loved her on SNL, I thought she was super great on Weekend Update and at the time I didn't even know that she was the head writer of the show at the time... that must have been awesome. Except in her book when she describes that guys actually peed in jars instead of going to the bathroom. Watching sketches with her and Amy Poehler together made me realize it's okay to be a funny girl. These two women were "the funny ones" and they were on tv and doing amazing! And I remember watching 30 Rock when it first came on wayyyyy back in the day. I was a Freshman in High School and Arrested Devel...

Golden Globe Awards Recap!

Okay so I'm writing this as the Golden Globes is still on... but Everyone I care about won already and I only really wanted to see Amy and Tina host... so yeah thats about it. First the Red Carpet stuff was far too long and boring. They had it on for like 2 hours on NBC... which is far too long. They didn't even really show that much, I didn't see many of the dresses until I looked at a red carpet thing that entertainment weekly had. So here are some people I thought looked really good.  As far as men go, the guys from Parks and Rec are always the most handsome. They're like my guys and aside from Rob Lowe's odd hair... they all looked really good. Particularly Pratt with his new Marvel Body and Adam Scott with facial hair... ohhh my gosh he's just swoon worthy I love him. And Aziz looked amazing and Nick Offerman... and even with Rob Lowe's hair he was just great!  Idris Elba, Andy Samberg, Seth Meyers also looked quite nice. I love that they ke...
