Bridesmaid Diaries: The Big Day!

So here's the finale! My last Bridesmaid Diaries post...for a while at least... The Day itself! I think I'm going to do this snippet style like the Bachelorette party because it just went so fast! The Morning  - I woke up pretty early because I realized what day it was and I was pretty excited! Idk if that was the best decision because I was pretty tired later... but it was still good.  -I took a nap in the morning because I knew I wouldn't get to sleep much. And I had a big day.  -Stacey and I also got eye masks that you can put in the fridge and they'll feel nice on your eyes... so I wore that for a bit too and that helped.  What I packed  - Before we went to the salon, I made sure to pack a few things. My glasses, the jewelry I was wearing. Stacey got a robe so I packed that. I didn't know if the Makeup Artist would have mascaras, so I took the Bareminerals Lash Domination, Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara Sample, Ulta Waterproof Topcoat, and...

Bridesmaid Diaries: The Last Few Days

So I mentioned the Rehearsal Dinner, and then there were 2 days until the wedding... so I figured I'd talk about what we did those 2 days. Thursday was the rehearsal dinner, Sunday was the wedding, Friday and Saturday were the "Bonus Days", which I would just say take your time and enjoy. Do something fun and relaxing for yourself. Have some fun! Friday  Friday was fun! Stacey and I went to the Salon near us, which is Spa Disneyworld... they have everything! Stacey stayed there a little earlier and got a facial. I went later and got a manicure and pedicure... and it was the best. Lol. My feet have been feeling so much better since that pedicure, I swear! They blistered a little bit at the wedding, but it didn't hurt to wear I couldn't walk the next day because of that pedicure it was amazing! They put a hot neck pillow on your neck and a cooled eye mask on while they were doing the pedicure... so nice. And we got a gel french manicure... it was just really ni...

Bridesmaid Diaries: The Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner

So this was a really fun night! I really enjoyed both the rehearsal and the dinner, we had a great time. The rehearsal itself only took a few minutes. We were at the restaurant for the dinner very early. They told us how to walk and what we were supposed to do, and it was nice and easy. The venue had a Maitre D that was basically the wedding planner and she told us what to do. The one thing that kind of didn't really work out was what they said to do with the flowers and fluffing the dress. Fluffing dresses is not easy to do in heels, and they told me to hand my flowers to the other bridesmaid, hold the brides flowers and then return them to the bride and then get my bouquet back. The bride and groom held hands during the ceremony... so I was holding the brides bouquet. So yeah... that was the only slightly different thing. So that was all easy and for the dinner we went to a pizza place that we go to every week more or less... so they know us and we're regulars. And the fo...

Weekly Wrap Up: 5.21.16

Early weekly wrap up this week! Here we go! Favorites  The Four Agreements- This was a good book that I read for a book club that I'm in. It was the first book and its just very calming. If you've got a lot on your mind... just read it and you might get something from it. It's a good book to have. Eat Smart Snacks Three Bean Healthy Tortilla Chip in Spicy Black Bean- These are amazing! I think I already wrote a review on this blog. I did an unboxing on this from my Influenster Sprout Voxbox on my other blog... I got these from Influenster, which is a company that sends free products for reviewing purposes... and this one is probably my favorite food thing that they've sent. These are really tasty and even replacing Cool Ranch Doritos... just a tiny bit. Weddings- I've been doing wedding stuff all week... so that's important and pretty much a favorite. Lol. Snippets from the week  - Monday I started my book club and skyped with some of my friends. Th...

Bridesmaid Diaries: The Small Stuffs

I figured I'd just do a little mashup of some small stuff you may not think of for weddings... so yeah. Hiding The Dress From The Groom  My sister didn't mind other people seeing her dress before the wedding, but she didn't want the groom to see it and he didn't want to see it either. This was difficult because we live in a digital age... and Right when her dress came in, the Facebook app changed and was asking if you wanted to add photos from your camera roll directly to Facebook... so that was a risk. Just be very careful with that!  The Bathrooms  So in the bathroom at the wedding, usually they include things like hair ties, advil, other things you might need... the women's room is probably more filled than the mens room... but yeah. Spray on deodorant is useful, a body spray... stuff like that. I used Advil at a friends wedding because I had a really bad headache... so it is very appreciated!  Bridesmaid Hairstyles  I like Emma Watson'...

Bridesmaids Diaries: Dance Lessons-1

So yesterday was my first dance lessons! My family are all really really horrible dancers. Elaine from Seinfeld looks really good compared to us... so we were all kind of dreading this. And honestly... not the worst thing! I actually had fun, I think my parents and the bride and groom had fun too. I didn't have an actual partner, so the instructor was my partner... and I think I did a little better than all of them because of that... lol. My parents told me I did a really good job and I said "its because I had a professional instead of one of you idiots!" They thought that was funny. The instructor was really good too. These are real teachers and they're really really good. They'll tell you how to do something and then they'll start talking to you and you'll just sort of do it without really noticing. So that's the best way to do it. The one thing I tried not to do was look at my feet. You're supposed to look at your partner and not at your f...

Bridesmaid Diaries:Tips for finding a Wedding Dress and helping the bride find her dress

Heyyy guys! I think I've mentioned it on this blog before, but my sister just got engaged and I'm her maid of honor and I thought it'd be cool to kind of do a blog series about being a bridesmaid and like helping with weddings and stuff to. Right now I'm going to focus on choosing a dress. I don't have my bridesmaid dress yet, but my sisters tried on dresses and she has one and I kind of thought I'd let you guys know some tips about finding the dress from a bridesmaid perspective Its not how it looks on tv  On TV it always seems like the girl cries when she sees herself in the dress and her mom cries and her mother in law cries and its all just the most beautiful thing in the entire world... but thats not every bride. I don't cry that often. I cried when I heard my sister was getting engaged and seeing her after she got engaged with the ring and everything... but genuinely I don't cry a lot. My sister looked absolutely gorgeous in every dress she tri...
