True Story: The Stress of De-stressing

Okay... so this is a pretty funny story... that really happened to me a few minutes ago while I was trying to come up with blog ideas. Okay so recently I started subscribing to a youtube channel called "The Honest Guys." They are known for making meditation videos and playing relaxing music. I actually found them trying to find ambient noises while writing. I like thunderstorms and city sounds... and I found one of theirs and I liked it. Since then I've listened to a few of their meditation videos from time to time. I'll listen to their sleep talk downs and their headache healing video has been really helpful for me when I have headaches. Anyway I saw that they had a new video that was a 9 minute fantasy meditation for busy people and I thought "Okay" Because I don't usually commit enough to hear their longer videos. Lol. So I started listening to it and they said that this meditation was from a particular album of theirs called Gateways to Se...

Hot Bench, Dogs and babies, and Bath and Body Works.

Sooo I almost forgot to do this morning post... but then I was like "Oh yeah!" I have a feeling that's going to happen. I'm probably going to forget the morning post more often... but I'll try. Anyway, is there ever anything you do at night that helps you to wake up better in the morning? My friend just got me an eye cream and I've been using that and moisturizing before I go to sleep... and it does make me feel better in the morning when I wake up. My skin feels new and fresh... and its just good. A good start to the day... so I recommend it for that at least! And I'm watching the show Hot Bench. I kind of hate these court shows... but its hard to stop watching this... people are so stupid its scary. I kind of think its all fake... but its still really fun to watch! Taking my dog to the vet today. Just for a checkup, plus we want to ask the vet if we should get a baby doll to treat like a real baby because my sister is having a baby and we aren'...

April 2015: It List!

1) Spontaneanation with Paul F Tompkins- New Podcast alert! And my favorite of the moment. I love Paul F Tompkins on Comedy Bang Bang, I think he's really funny. This podcast is really different because he'll have a guest on and they'll have an interview and the guest will suggest a location and then a group of improvisers will do a long form sketch that takes place in that location and that brings up some themes that interviewers have discussed or that Paul discussed with them or something like that... its really amazing. I've done improv and this makes me miss it. Its really a good podcast, I highly recommend you listen to it. His guests are good and interesting too! 2) The Grace Helbig Show- I love this show! It is just a great talk show. I think Grace does an awesome job and her guests are all really really good. I love that she doesn't play it cool like "yeah I'm totally comfortable being a big talk show host." She made an introvert's talk s...

Angela's Bath and Body Works Candle Rant

Lol so I completely forgot to post today... my bad. I wanted to do a woman crush wednesday... but it just escaped me. I blame hot dogs, cheese fries, chicken fingers and shopping... mostly shopping... which I shouldn't be doing at all... anyway... So I stumbled across this video on youtube that said "I may boycott Bath and Body Works" and I just wanted to see what it was... I figured it was something stupid and fake... but what I saw was amazing. So this woman from Neenah Wisconsin was apparently crazily stalking Bath and Body works for an Iced Gingerbread and a Winter Candy Apple candle... and she had to go ALL THE WAY TO THE MALL to get it. Ugh. Going places is the worst! Any way she had to go all the way to this store all the way in Appleton! And she had just been to Green Bay and the Osh Kosh outlet mall and she had called every school in her area to see if they had her Winter Candy Apple and her Iced Gingerbread candles and NO ONE HAD THEM! And this store she gav...

Feeling Lovely Friday- Haul Review!

Sooo I have recently hauled some things and I've gotten a chance to try them all out a little bit at least and I thought I'd mention what I thought so far. Some of them have been featured in my favorites... So I probably won't talk about them as much, but if you're curious they'll be in last weeks post. One thing I used a lot in my "faces of the week" post that I hauled somewhat recently was my Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in whatever Malibu shade they have... Idk what it's called. I do like this a lot, it probably just missed getting mentioned in my favorites because I'm still a little unsure how I should apply it. It isn't all that pigmented using it with a brush. I feel like there could be some more color when I use it with my fingers. Idk, maybe I'm using it wrong, or my hopes were just too high. I have been liking it... But I feel like I expected wayyy too much from this. It's expensive for a drugstore product too, so I woul...

Yet another haul. (American Eagle, Bath and Body Works, Sephora, Forever 21, and More!)

Heyyyy guys I realize I shop too much... But I thought I'd share it with you. I've recently done a bit of shopping. I had some gift cards and I just want to buy some new things and all that... So I thought I'd share it with you guys. On Friday I'm going to try to give reviews on some of the beauty items and things like that. Ulta- quick stop  I went over to the Nyx display immediately because that's what I always do. I really wanted the butter lipstick or some of the new butter glosses... But I couldn't find them anywhere, but I did see a nice palette called the Wicked Dreams palette. I haven't heard anything amazing about this, but the colors looked interesting, the packaging was nice and there were a lot of colors and a nice variety for 14.99. There are lots of looks I think I can get with this, so I'm excited about this. Then I had wanted to try the Dewey Finish Setting Spray for forever and so I had to pick this up. I always want something that ...

Feeling Lovely Friday: Shower Routine

So you guys probably know how to take showers already, but I shower differently, and this is what makes me feel really lovely and relaxed. So lately when I get in the shower I start by using conditioner in my hair. What???! That's Cray!!!! Yes it does seem cray, but Tati on YouTube recommended it, and I do think it works somewhat. I use the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, sometimes I use the Loreal total repair moisture conditioner, sometimes I like to use the Loreal total repair 5 hair mask... It varies. But last time I showered I used the three minute miracle which smells fantastic and I love. So I usually put this in my hair and then tie it back and do other showerly things. So then I wash my body. I've been using the Ulta Shower Smoothie in the strawberries and champagne scent. I like these a lot. They have a lot of product in them, they smell good, they work and get you cleaned. And then after that it's usually about 3 minutes so I wash out the conditioner and comb my h...

Empties! Spring Cleaning Edition!

Sooo I used  up some products right before my spring break and I was so close to having some more empties I thought I'd wait another week or so to post this... so here you go! Sooo let's see what I got here.... First off is the Avon Naturals cucumber shower gel- I really liked this! It smells really good, the shower gel gets me nice and clean and it smells clean... Have I said clean enough because it's really clean. I would repurchase this. I liked it a lot better than the Avon Naturals Juicy Moisture Pomegranate and Mango. The scent of this was great but the formula wasn't amazing. I felt like I needed to use A LOT to get me clean. One thing I've noticed after using a lot of these Avon Naturals is that they all have different formulations, so if you like one formula, you might not necessarily like them all. They are super affordable and really good. They all smell great, it's just not a consistent formula really. The best formula is the Bana...

Feeling Lovely Thursday- Collective Haul

This is a super random haul of odds and ends that I've picked up from different places over the past few weeks. I've had most of the stuff for a while, some things for just a weekish... but I thought now that I've put it to the test, I can share it. Ohhh my gosh... I go to Bath and Body works far too often... thats all I'm gonna say. Sephora!  UD Naked 3 Palette- So I had always been interested in the Naked Palettes. I almost got the Naked 2, but I saw the Stila In The Light Palette, which was a little cheaper and I liked it a little better so I got that instead. I liked the rosy neutrals in this palette, so I thought I'd give it a whirl... I still cannot get over how beautiful it is. I've worn pretty much all of the colors so far and have created so many different looks it's amazing. Really cannot get enough of this. It is a pricey palette, but well worth the money... could not be happier! Sephora Liquid eyeliner- I've never really tried liquid ey...

THIS IS HALLOWEEN! AGHHH I'M EXCITED!

Idk why this year, but I am in such a Halloween mood. I mean I usually am in Haloween Mode, especially around Halloween (yep I'm halloween mode all year! lol) Anyhoo I just figured I'd list some things that you should do around halloween... that it's probably too late for you to do now, because I just made this blog a few days before halloween... oh well. Some are general fall things. 1) Going to Fright Fest- Six Flags is just a fun place, and Fright Fest is just the most fun. They have the terror trails which are all like different themed haunted places... and I've walked through all of them. And gotten pretty scared in most of them. Idk if its different at different six flags, but I'll just talk about the ones at my six flags cause I feel like talking a lot and it seems worth mentioning. They have an Asylum, a haunted Manor, a Vodoo Island, something called wasteland which is like a post apocalyptic plant type world, and theres something called total Darkness wh...
