Throwback Thursday: Friends Season 2

Just finished Season 2 of Friends and I have to say... I liked it better than I thought I would.  I always underestimate season 2 because a few years ago I kept seeing the string of episodes from Season 2 where Joey moved out of the apartment over and over and over again... and they just aren't my favorite episodes. Eddie is a little too weird... Joey's Apartment is a little too ugly... and I think it was just too short a time for that dynamic. In this re-watch of friends I have kind of noticed timelines a little bit more... and I think that's something I'm going to pay attention to for the future... I'm sure there will be some blog posts on that coming soon.  Also aside from Eddie's craziness... we have Phoebe... who is extra weird in the earlier seasons of the show. She's very Phoebe this season... this season we get a lot of Smelly Cat, plus we get to hear some of her other songs... and it's just kind of a little too over the top... but it kind...

Scribbles About TV: Scream Queens Season 2

Scream Queens was my favorite show last year... so I was super excited that it was returning this year! I was also really excited that some of the same characters were back! The Chanels were all returning, Chad Radwell is coming back... there was a different killer and a different subject, but it was still the same characters and the same Murder Mystery format. I didn't like the premiere as much as the premiere last season. It was 2 hours, there were a lot of killings and a lot of surprises and I just thought it was a really funny and great episode. This episode was also funny... it didn't have as many laughs as the Pilot and Hell Week because it wasn't as long, there weren't as many jokes packed in. Plus Nick Jonas wasn't in this episode... so it was a bit of a let down compared to last year... but I still think it's going to be an exciting season! A lot of time was spent explaining why everyone was in a hospital now... so I didn't think that was quite ...

Scribbles About TV: Grace and Frankie Season 2 Review *Spoilers*

One of my favorite shows on Netflix is Grace and Frankie and its one of the shows I had least expected to like... I even did a review on it last year and then it wasn't a very good review... but then I watched more and I got addicted to it! And the first season was really good! And this season was no exception! It was also really good! There was an underlying theme of Frankie becoming a little more like Grace... and even Grace was being more impulsive like Frankie... and it just played out really well! The show has a lot of kids parenting their parents, and thats very realistic and funny to watch. Like when Sol was freaking out over cheating on Robert and all the kids had to tell him not to freak out and its just really funny to watch and they just show it very well. I think they always make the serious moments on the show very funny and heart-filled. And I think there were more serious moments this season than last season. Robert's heart attack, Frankie and Sol sleeping ...

Supernatural Season 2 pt 2

Nightshifter  I didn't quite get the end of this one... Sam and Dean somehow used the skin of the shifter to fake their own deaths? And then they escaped and used the uniforms of the swat team? Or did they kill the swat team to escape... that doesn't sound like them... I'm gonna look a little further into this one... then I'll let you know. Okay not quite sure... I think everywhere online was just busy at Sam and Dean in their underpants together and them playing a really good song. Unless those were 2 guys whose uniforms they stole and knocked out... I don't quite get it. Or they just did that and then escaped... not a huge deal for the rest of the episode being good and it doesn't effect the next episode... so its still really good. I like it! Houses of the Holy  I liked this one. It was a little boring and seemed uneventful at some parts... but it told us a lot about Sam and Dean and I just really liked it. Idk I liked that Dean loved the Magic Fingers...

Supernatural Season 2 part 1

In the Time Of Dying  The first half of this I was like "Huhhhh?" It just seemed so blah compared to the incredible finale of the first season... but after that it really picked up at the end. I loved the actor that played the Demon when John first summoned him. He reminded me a lot of Travolta playing Nicholas Cage in Face/Off... which is probably the best performance of all time. I also liked the actress that played Tessa because she was good at being a regular girl, a reaper and then for a few seconds the Demon. And I really like how The Demon's personality is so prominent and consistent. I thought it was good. Everybody Loves a Clown Didn't like this one that much. I thought that the opening with the clown scene was creepy, but then it took forever for them to get back to that and then when they did get to it... it wasn't as good as the other stuff in the episode really. I just felt it was a little slow and weird and it wasn't all that scary... and clo...

Scribbles About TV: Bojack Horseman Season 2

Bojack Horseman is a show I recommend to a lot of people and then I'm like... well hold on. Its very funny but I would say equally dark. It'll make you laugh, but it will also bum you out. I still think its worth watching because no other show really goes there really with its jokes and its sadness and its everything really. Lol. So in season 1 Diane Nguyen was writing a book about Bojack and that book kind of made him famous again and landed him his dream role as Secretariat... but Bojack is still trying and still failing at overall happiness. In this season he has a girlfriend and a breakup, his rival Mr. Peanutbutter gains success with a gameshow, Bojack's movie changes everything he liked about it. Its really a great season. The characters are really well developed in this season, they were pretty well developed last season... but this season they really stepped it up a level. Even Mr. Peanut Butter, who was pretty one note last season has this big arch about his ga...

OITNB Season 2 Review: Spoilers

I'm gonna try to make this spoiler free, but we shall see what happens... I'll probably spoil some things, so if you haven't seen the whole season yet... you've been warned! So I loved the way it started out. It was a little odd because it didn't take place at Lynchfield Prison and some people are complaining it didn't feel right to start without the whole gang in Lychfield, but I really liked it. Because the show is such an ensemble, a lot of times t can feel like the show isn't really about Piper and her story. I thought the way it focused on Piper and Alex and the way that Piper got in prison in the first place was important. It also showed a lot of new characters that were super super funny and it was just overall a super funny and entertaining episode. It also gave us a good insight into the relationship between Piper and Alex. Piper lies for Alex, Alex told the truth and betrayed Piper. Alex and Piper seemed to get over their original problems and th...

Carrie Diaries Season 2 Finale

This is kind of upsetting. I was just starting to get really into season 2 and then BAM finale time! That is one of the upsetting things about The Carrie Diaries, it isn't long enough. I think a lot of CW's shows are just half seasons... Which isn't always bad but here I think it was a little rushed. Like valentines day just happened and suddenly it's prom and then graduation and I'm like... Wait slow down a bit! I'm a little upset Sebastian is moving to California just because I was just starting to like him a lot. I hope they still have him on the show every now and again... He's my favorite of Carrie's boyfriends overall... Other than Aiden. I mean it did make sense it wasn't a total break up "I'll never see you again thing" but more of an "I'm California, you're New York this is too different" type of thing so they can't really be together? Does that make sense? I'm happy with Samantha and Carrie livi...
