Scribbles About TV: Grace and Frankie Season 2 Review *Spoilers*

One of my favorite shows on Netflix is Grace and Frankie and its one of the shows I had least expected to like... I even did a review on it last year and then it wasn't a very good review... but then I watched more and I got addicted to it! And the first season was really good!

And this season was no exception! It was also really good! There was an underlying theme of Frankie becoming a little more like Grace... and even Grace was being more impulsive like Frankie... and it just played out really well!

The show has a lot of kids parenting their parents, and thats very realistic and funny to watch. Like when Sol was freaking out over cheating on Robert and all the kids had to tell him not to freak out and its just really funny to watch and they just show it very well. I think they always make the serious moments on the show very funny and heart-filled.

And I think there were more serious moments this season than last season. Robert's heart attack, Frankie and Sol sleeping together and the aftermath of all of that, Coyote meeting his real mother, Mallorie thinking her husband is cheating on her, Babe's sickness, Phil and his wife, Grace's drinking problem... there were very serious themes this season and it was even funnier than last season because of it! There's a lot of things that happen in the face of tragedy and bad times that's actually kind of funny... and this season did a lot to focus on that!

I liked Babe a lot... and I'm kind of sad that she won't be on the show anymore... maybe lol. I liked the episode with Coyote's mom were all very emotional and they did it in such a good way. I also liked the episode with Frankie's driving test... it was really funny all in all. I really loved the show this year, even more than last year I think! Really great season, really funny show! I loved it!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
