Blogmas Day 8: Olaf's Frozen Adventure Reivew

So I was excited for this special... I know they initially intended for it to be a Holiday TV Special... they then put it before Coco, but it was pulled from Coco because it is definitely NOT a short. It's 20 minutes without commercials... so on TV it's a full 30 minute special. If you like Frozen and you like the music of Frozen- you're going to love this special. The music isn't identical to the music of the movie... but they have songs like "The First Christmas in Forever" and it sounds very similar to the song "For The First Time In Forever." But for this special the gates are obviously opened and Elsa and Anna are singing together... so it's got a nice sister-y Christmas feel. I also just think Elsa is a really good queen. She invited everyone to the castle to spend the holidays there... that's really nice! Elsa 2020 amiright??? lol. It took me a while to like Olaf... but I think he's really funny in this special. He is adorabl...

Throwback Thursday: Frozen

So this isn't quite as much of a Throwback... and I actually watched it more than once recently... so yeah. Hopefully this is still kind of helpful. When I first saw this movie I kind of liked it... kind of didn't think it was worth the hype... watched it a second time recently and I liked it a lot better and then I watched it a few more times... and I actually kind of love it. It isn't my favorite Disney Movie or animated movie... Obviously the Despicable Me and Minion movies are my favorites. I also really like Tangled, which I reviewed last week. Lilo and Stitch is kind of a favorite... there are just a lot of movies that are better than Frozen... so when Frozen sort of became this huge thing I was like "Meh..." I also never liked that there's this great love song at the beginning of the movie called "Love Is An Open Door" and it's for the bad guy... that's kind of terrible. I just didn't like that at all. It just seems so wasted a...

Scribbles About Movies: Disney Animated Shorts Review

So I was going to post the Great AHS Rewatch... but I gotta say... idk if I'm going to keep up with that. Its just a lot. I don't mind doing it... but it takes up so much time and idk... its fun to do and all... but now I'm feeling less attached to AHS and I want to watch something other than every season of that all over again... I did already start with 7&8... maybe I'll just post all the ones sometime after the series finale or closer to that time... but right now its just a lot and I don't feel like doing it. What I did feel like doing, however, was watching the Netflix Disney Animated Shorts movie collection... so I thought why not just do mini reviews on each mini movie and maybe rank? Ranking might be a lot... we'll see. John Henry (2000) Great music. This was animated really nice and simply also. It had a sketched look to it that I really liked. Its going to be fun to see how the animation develops. This would probably be a thing you would watch...

This Week In TV! Storybrooke is Frozen,Always Sunny guest stars on Fox Comedies,Selina Kyle origin &more (9/3/14)

Sooo this is a new thing I want to do every week... As you may know, I watch a lot of TV and I've thought of doing OUAT Recaps... but then when AHS comes back on I'm going to want to do that also... so I just thought why not just do a full on recap of all the shows I've watched that week at the end of the week? There will probably be spoilers, there are some shows I don't always watch but I'll try to catch up on. Also I want to try to write these pretty much right after I watch whatever show I watch, so these will all be reviews I write different times probably. Sunday  Once Upon A Time- Ahhhh the long awaited Frozen Once Upon a Time premier! I didn't like the movie Frozen all that much, but I was excited to see what Once Upon a Time would do with it... and overall I was both pleased and slightly disappointed. I liked the addition of Elsa and Anna, I think they're both really fun characters and great actresses and Kristoff too was quite funny. But... I...

Oscars Review! 2014

So The Academy Awards just happened and I watched it... even though it was suuuuupppperrrr boring and predictable. I really like Ellen and all, and everyone is saying she did a fantastic job... so it's probably just me. I just don't feel like the jokes really landed. It felt very awkward and forced. She wasn't the worst host but there really hasn't been a great host in a long time. They gotta get Tina and Amy, those girls are the best. Didn't Conan host it one year? Or was it Jon Stewart? I feel like one or both of them hosted and I thought that was pretty good. Idk. I was watching all of the red carpet stuff, because that is really more exciting than anything else and honestly I loved all of the dresses. If I had to pick one favorite dress I'd have to say Lupita Nyong'o. I hadn't really been watching all of the other events or anything, but I just recently became obsessed with her fashion choices. I also really liked Sandra Bullocks, Mindy Kaling, t...

Appyness #3- Smule Autorap

Sooo while playing Temple Run I watched a video to gain more gems and the video was for something that autotuned your voice and made it into a rap. Thought that would be fun to try. I've tried apps from Smule before... I kind of feel like its a scam for some reason. They try to get you to buy so many things and watch all their videos to get Smula so that you can buy more songs. Idk, I'm not a huge fan of that. I get it, but sometimes their videos are inappropriate. Theres one app clearly marketed towards children called Crime City thats like an app version of Grand Theft Auto... I think thats wrong. I'm not against GTA or anything... but I think violent video games being able to access all times of all day are a little much. Idk. Also it asked for push notifications like 3 times... no I don't want push notifications from this damn thing. And it needs access to your microphone... which is kind of a hassle cause you need to go to settings and stuff... idk. Sooo lemm...

Review Time! Frozen

I love Disney, I love Princesses, I love musicals, and I love snow men so overall, I knew this movie was going to be a big win. A lot of hype was around it, a lot of my friends really liked it,  I was expecting to love it and I've got to say it did not disappoint. Whatsoever. It starts off a little odd I get. I don't totally get everything about Elsa's powers and why she really needed to stay away from Ana as much as she could. I feel like it wasn't dramatic enough, but it got super dramatic at the end. There were several things that happened that they didn't go into great detail about, and it makes sense its a kids movie, they don't necessarily want to know all of the stuff that went on, but it's a hard thing to convey and I feel like they should have been a little more clear toward the beginning of the movie. There were also a lot of great songs... like a LOT! It seemed at some times that there was wayyyy too many musical numbers and not nearly enough ...
