Blogmas Day 8: Olaf's Frozen Adventure Reivew

So I was excited for this special... I know they initially intended for it to be a Holiday TV Special... they then put it before Coco, but it was pulled from Coco because it is definitely NOT a short. It's 20 minutes without commercials... so on TV it's a full 30 minute special.

If you like Frozen and you like the music of Frozen- you're going to love this special. The music isn't identical to the music of the movie... but they have songs like "The First Christmas in Forever" and it sounds very similar to the song "For The First Time In Forever." But for this special the gates are obviously opened and Elsa and Anna are singing together... so it's got a nice sister-y Christmas feel.

I also just think Elsa is a really good queen. She invited everyone to the castle to spend the holidays there... that's really nice! Elsa 2020 amiright??? lol.

It took me a while to like Olaf... but I think he's really funny in this special. He is adorable and he just wants to help Anna and Elsa's first Christmas in their memories to be the best Christmas ever and he's trying to get all these traditions for them and it's just really cute and funny.

It's kind of fun because it shows a lot of Norway... I don't know if these are actual traditions of Norway or anything... but I know Disney works hard at looking in these locations so I think there's probably some real traditions there. I thought that was pretty cool.

And the end just kind of melts your heart. It's really sweet- I think they did a great job with it and it is definitely a great Christmas Special. Compared to specials like Shrek the Halls, Toy Story: That Time Forgot, the Prep and Landing Movies... I would say this is a lot better. I would actually even put this on par with some classic movies like The Year Without a Santa Clause... I thought it was that good! I like it more than Frosty... so I feel like I have my sentient snowman fix without having to watch Frosty... lol.

I can see why they put this in movie theaters... the animation is brilliant and at some parts I was like "wow I wish I was seeing this on a big screen" plus they did have it out before a shorter movie... and that is reminiscent of Mickey's Christmas Carol, which I also love!

Sooo... yeah that is everything! Hope you guys like this!

PS- This also isn't really a "Christmas" special so much as a "Holiday" special. They talk about Hanukkah traditions as well as Christmas Traditions. I just thought I'd include that in this review because I thought it was cool. There aren't many holiday specials that go into detail on both holidays.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
