Blogmas Day 9: Christmas Things in NJ

Sooo I thought I would just talk a little about what NJ has to offer for the holidays since I already mentioned New York and Disney.

First off if you're from the Jersey Shore and you don't want to go to New York for their holiday markets- Asbury Park has a holiday bazaar! I think it's open every weekend around Christmas... not 100% sure about that- but they did have it open the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was really nice. They had a photo booth, they had some nice jewelry and some bowties you could get for your dogs... which my friends got. The photo booth was super fun and not too pricey. They also gave us Hot Chocolate.

They have a nice tree and some shops around Convention Hall there. We went to the tree lighting and took some fun, festive pictures.

They also have a good production of Scrooge in Convention Hall. If you like musicals and you like A Christmas Carol- this is a great show to see!

Next up... Red Bank! I don't know if they do this all the time- but yesterday red bank had a horse and carriage ride that you could take... so that's festive and fun! They probably don't do this every weekend, but if you can find when they are doing it... that's pretty cool!

I went to Freehold Mall today... which is a good Christmas destination in itself if you don't mind crowds... but my mom passed a sign for an Ice Show... not sure of the exact address of this, but it's like right before the Volkswagon Dealership... and I think it's a show of different Ice Sculptures... so that is pretty cool.

There are a lot of great restaurants in the Jersey Shore... a lot of them have really nice decorations. Some of them offer platters or catering for the holidays too.

I think that's everything? There are probably more things that I'll review another time! Hope you guys like this and I'll see you tomorrow for something else! Byeee!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
