Chart Chat! 12/12/17

Heyyy guys! Here are the charts for this week!

10) Just Getting Started- This is with Morgan Freeman I think? Is Michael Kane in it too? Not sure... but anyway this looked like a movie that's been done before... not sure people are still interested in it... ohhh no... okay Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones. It's about an undercover investigation at a Golf Course. Tommy Lee Jones is a former FBI Agent- Freeman is a former lawyer to the mob that's in the Witness Protection... so this exact scenario hasn't really been done before but it doesn't sound like the best movie ever either just from the IMDB synopsis... so I can see why people would rather see something else. Idk how many theaters this is in right now... but not great for its first week on the chart. It made 3.2 million dollars...

9) Lady Bird- This looks like a great movie that I think I can relate too... not always easy to find in movies but the trailer for this speaks to me. Lol.

8) The Star- This is a religious cartoon that looks pretty adorable. Hasn't been doing great on the charts, but it looks like a cute enough one to watch on tv or buy on video. If you have kids I'd imagine it's hard to get the true meaning of Christmas while still showing a fun, funny movie... so this is probably a good way to do both!

7) Murder on the Orient Express- I still want to see this! Love all the stars in this movie and it just seems like an interesting cast and what a great concept!

6) Daddy's Home 2- I feel the opposite of how I feel about Murder on The Orient Express about this movie. I still don't get who the Daddy's Home movies are for... but yeah.

5) Thor: Ragnarok- This sounds like the best marvel movie... at least one that I'd like the best.

4) The Disaster Artist- This is the story about the Brilliant Tommy Wiseau from The Room... I say Brilliant only half jokingly. The Room is known as the best bad movie... and it's definitely one that you'll know is a bad movie when you're watching it... there's no question about that... but it is entertaining. I haven't seen the full thing yet- but it's super entertaining and this movie sounds awesome.

3) Wonder- I want to see this too. I feel like this is a surprise hit... but at the same time there was a 20/20 special on this... there's a book about it and it has a lot of star power... and really who wouldn't want to see this movie. Feel good movie of the year probably. I like it a lot.

2) Justice League- I'm surprised this jumped back up on the charts... it wasn't number 2 last week... but it's been doing consistently good and I'm happy about that.

1) Coco- I want to see this so bad... but I don't get to the movies often! So hopefully I'll see this soon! Maybe before Star Wars comes out... which is friday but still.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
