Blogmas Day 7: Scribbles About TV: Festive Favorites!

So I thought that I would just talk a little bit about some of the TV shows that have been on and some of the specials for the holidays.

First off the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Holiday Magic special... this was really sweet. I like that they didn't show as many couples this time... they focused on 2 couples... I thought that felt a little more special. The one couple was one that we saw Propose on the last Disney Fairy Tale Weddings special that they had... and their wedding was really beautiful and the wife surprised her new husband by hiring a choir to remind him of his Mom- who passed away and used to sing in a choir... it was really sweet. The other wedding... wasn't really my thing- but it's still beautiful to that couple and it was really sweet and special. I got emotional at both stories... it was a cute special. I'm excited for the Decorating Disney special as well!

On ABC they have 2 shows around the holidays that are always fun to watch: The Great Holiday Baking Show and the Great Christmas Light Fight... I haven't been watching The Great Holiday Baking Show as closely as I have in years past because they changed hosts... and I'm a HUGE fan of Nia Vardalos and Ian Gomez- so obviously I preferred their hosting. I don't know who the new hosts are- I haven't watched it enough to say either way... but I prefer Cousin Nia (we're both Greek.) So that's something new that I'm trying to get used to.

The Great Christmas Light Fight... I usually half watch. I hear the stories- I look up to see the light... don't always get the full story... but that's been pretty good. I like seeing these houses and looking up to see if there is anything like that around my neighborhood.

I liked all the holiday episodes of TV that aired this week. I really liked The Middle's last Christmas Episode. Modern Family didn't do a Christmas Episode this year- but it was still pretty good. I didn't see all of The Goldbergs or Speechless but those were good tonight. I liked The Mayor and Blackish also... American Housewife was good. Fresh Off the boat was funny and cute... I just liked all of the shows and I recommend checking it out!

So... that's everything! Hope you guys like this!
Byeee!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
