Weird Dreams I've Had: Venym Vodka

Hey guys! Happy New Year! This is a weird first post of the new year tbh... but I want to kind of write these every day as a thought pops into my head... it is as always a goal of mine to blog every day this year on both blogs... I realize that has not happened but I figure this way I'll at least be pretty consistent and maybe the blogs will be better? Not sure- but I'm writing this on December 10th cause I just wrote the "Things I thought as a kid- Christmas Edition" and I saw a pop up ad for Vodka on facebook... so yeah. That reminded me of this story. Anyway it pretty much is exactly how it sounds... when I was in High School I had a dream that I either started or Cobra Starship started a brand of vodka called Venym Vodka which was a fancy bottle of vodka that contained a live cobra in the box. Yes that's right... A LIVE COBRA! Why did I have this dream? I didn't drink in high school... but I did in fact love the band Cobra Starship... and the lead sing...

Throwback Thursday: Weird Music Loop

So I have kind of a weird Throwback Thursday Today... but it's fun. I went down a kind of weird youtube/apple music wormhole last night and... this is just kind of what I listened to, why I listened to it and what I think of it. Panic At The Disco It started with the Panic! At The Disco album- A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. I wanted to listen to this because I heard a song from it recently and I really like it. Plus there's a huge Mandela Effect on the song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." I remember it saying "I chimed in with a 'haven't you people ever heard of closing THE goddamn door?'" Well in fact... I recently heard it on the radio and it sounded like it said A   goddamn door instead of the. And sure enough- Apple Music says the same thing. There was even a whole thing where a famous person tweeted at the lead singer Brendon Urie and couldn't explain it. Anytime they sing it live... They sing THE goddamn door. Anyway funily enough...

Scribbles About Songs: All Your Favorite Bands by Dawes

So I heard this song on the radio once, on the radio station my dad listens to... which I don't normally like... but this song kind of spoke to me. I feel like this song to me is what Hello by Adele is to most people. I feel like maybe because of my age and my life experiences this song makes me feel things and Hello doesn't totally make me feel things... but this one makes me miss people and things. And like he's saying that he hopes everything works out for whoever he's singing the song to... but its not like he's wishing her anything amazing. Just kind of simple things that seem like the worst things that could possibly happen when you're in high school, but then when you're a grown up... the things happen and you barely blink an eye. One of the lines is "I hope that all your favorite bands stay together." And that's a big thing for me right now. When I was in high school, Fall Out Boy, Panic at The Disco, Cobra Starship, The Academy i...

Throwback Thursday: Cobra Starship!

My absolute favorite band in high school... well besides Fall Out Boy... was Cobra Starship. I was and am in love with Gabe Saporta lol. I didn't think I would like their music as much now... but I was mistaken! I haven't relistened to Viva La Cobra just yet, but I really like Hot Mess and While the City Sleeps We Rule The Streets. Their first album is probably my favorite, but the others are good too! A few songs really stuck out to me as good. 1) The Church of Hot Addiction- This is always a favorite. It's kind of the sexiest song that exists... in my opinion lol. It's just plain hot, theres no other way to say it. The video is really funny also. Gabe falls in love with a Bunny... its good. They used to play this on a TGI Fridays commercial. Lol. Which is weird. 2) Being From Jersey Means Never Having to Say Your Sorry- This is a great first song of an album. And it leads into Hey Mr. Dj which is just such a good combo. Also I'm from Jersey, so I find this p...

Why Gwen Stefani and I are Arch Enemies.

Okay kind of a harsh title... I guess we aren't really arch enemies. She's a grown famous woman with 3 kids and I'm just a 22 year old college student with a blog. That being said, she's been trying to kill me for years. One day when I was 15 I had my friends over and we were listening to Gwen Stefani because we thought it was funny that she sued Gabe Saporta for doing the song Hollaback Boy (go google that right now. Actually thats what I'm about to do. I forget how it went lol. Ohhh my gosh I still know all the lyrics... and Gabe sounds like super Jersey. Lol.) Anyhoo so I was changing one song to another song and I tripped and sprained my ankle. Not that dramatic right? Just a coincidence. Yet after that pretty much ALL throughout high school whenever I heard a Gwen Stefani song... something HORRIBLE happened. Pretty much anytime something awful happened in my life. Remember the story about how I made out with the hot dog guy at the mall... guess what I hea...
