Throwback Thursday: Cobra Starship!

My absolute favorite band in high school... well besides Fall Out Boy... was Cobra Starship. I was and am in love with Gabe Saporta lol. I didn't think I would like their music as much now... but I was mistaken!

I haven't relistened to Viva La Cobra just yet, but I really like Hot Mess and While the City Sleeps We Rule The Streets. Their first album is probably my favorite, but the others are good too! A few songs really stuck out to me as good.

1) The Church of Hot Addiction- This is always a favorite. It's kind of the sexiest song that exists... in my opinion lol. It's just plain hot, theres no other way to say it. The video is really funny also. Gabe falls in love with a Bunny... its good. They used to play this on a TGI Fridays commercial. Lol. Which is weird.

2) Being From Jersey Means Never Having to Say Your Sorry- This is a great first song of an album. And it leads into Hey Mr. Dj which is just such a good combo. Also I'm from Jersey, so I find this pretty cool. Lol. It's very short, chill and just a great song overall. And its quite sad but in a good way lol.

3) Fold Your Hands Child- This one was always a favorite of mine. It's just very deep, which is uncommon in cobra songs. It's very sweet too it's just such a nice song.

4) The Scene is Dead, Long Live The Scene- Again very deep. This is one of my favorite songs ever, it used to be my favorite until I discovered David Bowie... but it's still really good and its sad but relatable and kind of hopeful at the same time. I really like it.

5) Nice Guys Finish Last- Didn't always love this song, but now it's somehow one of my favorites. I like that its got a pop feel but also a swing feel... I like the girls singing with him... basically I just like it overall.

6) It's Amateur Night At The Apollo Creed- I really like a good angry song, and this is a good one. They played this when I saw them for the first time and they just said to tell people you don't like to listen to this song or something like that. It was funny and really cool. I like angry songs lol.

7) Pop Punk is Soooo '05- Another good angry song. I liked this song a little more that the previous angry song, but they're both good and cool songs.

8) Wet Hot American Summer- First off I love the title of this song because I love the movie Wet Hot American Summer. Second it's just a laid back good song about summer. It's like a chill break up song, which sometimes you just need. Break ups aren't chill at all, but this is a chill song. lol.

9) You Can't be Missed if you Never Go Away- Another really sweet song that I've always loved, but now I just find it really good and just nice. Sometimes you need some songs that are just nice and nothing else. lol.

10) Living in the Sky With Diamonds- Another one I've always liked a lot, but it's recently become a favorite. It's an interesting story and it is quite relatable. You feel for this self-destructive girl and you really do want her to change and that she finds a friend other than the reflection in the mirror. I love songs that are about a specific girl? Is that weird? I always feel inspired or something, even if this is kind of negative. I like it a lot.

So yeah, that's it.

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
