Scribbles About Movies: Movies I should probably watch

So I saw something about the Princess Bride on facebook... and I've never actually seen that movie... and I probably should, so yeah. This is just going to be a small list. The fact that I have seen the movie Jennifer's Body multiple times but haven't seen all of these is actually sad.

1) The Princess Bride- I've seen so many bad movies and this is what a lot of people consider their favorite movie... and i still haven't seen it.

2) Moonstruck- Seriously! Of all the Nicholas Cage movies I have seen and loved, the one that actually won him an Oscar is not one of them!

3) The Shining- I've actually tried watching this movie and I wasn't fond of it... there was a lot going on and I was just like "no, no thank you" and it was kind of cool, but not scary. I should maybe give it another chance because its one of those movies that you should see, but come on!

4) Ghostbusters- As someone that wants to go into comedy some day... its a little embarrassing I haven't even seen Ghostbusters.

5) Caddyshack- Ditto.

6) Groundhog Day- Since we're naming Bill Murray movies, I thought I'd list this... I don't actually think I'd like it cause I'm not a fan of the every day is the same type of thing... but its a little ridiculous I've seen 50 First Dates and I haven't even seen this once. I should watch it every day for a week or something.

7) Dawn of the Dead- I've never seen any of the deads movies! I probably should, I love zombies... but nope.

8) Four Weddings and A Funeral- I've seen so so many Hugh Grant movies... I think this is the one people like the most and I still haven't seen it!

9) The Place Beyond The Pines- I haven't seen many movies with Ryan Gosling... but whenever I talk about him I say "ohhh he's so talented" and "ohhh he's underrated" and all of that!

10) Drive- Ditto. I feel like if I saw this I would get a better idea of his range. Like I've seen The Notebook, the romantic perfect boyfriend lead. Crazy Stupid Love, The comedy. In Blue Valentine he was both the romantic lead and also sort of the bad guy. If I watched The Place Beyond the Pines I would see him as the good guy and Bradley Cooper as the Bad guy... which would help with his range too... and Then maybe The Ides of March because I think he's the lead of that and these aren't really "leading man" type of roles... so yeah. I don't want to just think of Ryan Gosling as a hot guy! I feel really shallow just saying that, so I want to see his talent and his hotness damnit and I will!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
