It List: October 2014

This is my favorite month... and today is actually my favorite day of my favorite month because... IT BE MY BIRFDAY!!! I'm 23 today and I'm fuckin' excited! There have also been a lot of awesome things that have happened this month, so there's that too!

1) How To Get Away With Murder- Can we talk about this show for a second? Like can we. OHHHH MY GOD! It's 3 episodes in and I'm already absolutely hooked! It looks like tonight's episode will be even better! It just keeps getting better! I love it! You have to watch this show! Seriously watch and be amazed.

2) Gone Girl- I can't not mention one of the greatest movies ever! I loved the book, I love the movie... I'm happy that they did it so well because I wasn't sure how it would be honestly. I'm such a huge fan of the book it seems wrong to do a movie... but they did it soo soo right. Love it.

3) Sharp Objects- Speaking of Gone Girl, I've been reading Sharp Objects, which is by the same author of Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn. I've been liking it a lot! It's mysterious its interesting its dark! I just think its really good and a really great read. I'm excited to finish it up! Gillian Flynn is a great writer, so I plan on reading everything she has out and continue reading any other books she puts out!

4) Tootsie Pops- At the end of September, my dad had his 60th birthday party and a family friend of ours made him a bouquet of tootsie pops that said 60 sucks on it... and I forgot how much I liked tootsie pops! We've been eating them all the time cause they're so good and we still have a bunch left! There must have been way more than 60! Lol. They've also been easy to find now that it's halloween season!

5) Cheeto's Bag o' Bones- I'm not a fan of puffy cheetos, so I didn't think I'd like these, but my mom wanted them because they're festive and cute... and I had to try at least one. I didn't know that they were white cheddar flavored! I really like the white cheddar flavor and it's just fun to have bone shapes. I think these would be a ton of fun to put out at halloween parties. And they're quite delicious!

6) Vaseline Creme Brulee Lip Therapy- This smells so good and it makes my lips feel so nice! Plus it comes in a cute tub, I just really like it! It doesn't have any color or anything, but it makes my lips look nice. A little glossy and greasy, but they look full and really nice!

7) L'oreal Evercream Nourishing Leave in Spray- If you have dry and tangly hair... you need this in your life! Like it is a must have for LIFE! This is my favorite hair product that exists I think. I love using this for detangling my hair, I section my hair and spray this in every section and comb through it and it works AMAZINGLY! L'oreal has the best affordable hair care products. I like this more than the more expensive It's a 10 Miracle leave in spray. This does a wayyy better job and my hair has just been better with this! Plus its like 7.99 and comes in a big bottle and you really don't need a lot... so it lasts quite a while.

8) American Horror Story- I was a little doubtful about this season in the first episode... but there is no denying it is the most horrifying season thus far. Actually, Asylum scared me quite a lot, but Twisty the clown is amazingly scary. The Cold Open this week with him behind the guy the whole time. I was so scared! I gasped and screamed at the tv!!! It was just sooo soo good! Also... David frickin Bowie... that is all!

9) Johnny Cupcakes- I thought I'd give a shout out to some of my favorite t shirts to wear this time of year. I'm obsessed with Johnny Cupcakes Halloween T-shirts. Really just his holiday shirts in general, but the Halloween ones hold a special place in my heart because... its halloween and cupcakes! He always has the coolest limited edition Holiday t shirts and pop culture t shirts in general. I'm a pop culture nerd... so this is kind of the best thing ever for me. I haven't bought anything from there in a while, but check out his online store. He's got cool stuff!

10) Gotham- Last but certainly not least is my other favorite new TV show: Gotham! If you like Batman and you like the sort of crooked-cop storyline and villains of the series... you'll like this show a lot. Its really well done and it keeps you interested and watching. And I already care about the characters and I think some are just completely evil and terrible... and its not just every show that does that to me the first few weeks of watching it. This is a pretty awesome show.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
