And it starts off really cute with our main characters- Marcus and Sasha as kids. They are best friends- Sasha's parents leave her home alone a lot and Marcus kind of just invited her to join their family and she cooked with Marcus' mom. The two stay best friends all growing up... and when they are teenagers, his mother dies and it really affects both of them. Sasha tries to comfort Marcus and herself by having sex with him... and then the two have a fight and they stop speaking to each other for several years.
