Throwback Thursday: My First Valentine's Day With My Boyfriend

Alright so... my boyfriend and I have always had a fun Valentine's Day. We don't always like to celebrate big on the actual day because our half-anniversary is on the 16th. So the first year we were together we didn't think we'd be able to celebrate on Valentine's Day... so we were going to celebrate on the 16th... and last year I closed on Valentine's Day- so we couldn't really do anything until the 16th. This year I'm not really sure what we're doing but... idk. I'd be happy doing something any day. The half year marker... idk I still kind of like celebrating it even though we've been together a while... so I like that Valentine's Day falls around that time.

Anyway... so I don't want to tell the whole story of the first year... but I'll tell the funny bits of info that I think you'll laugh at.

So... he was supposed to have jury duty... but they ended up not needing him... so that all in its own is kind of funny that our first Valentine's Day could have been him in Jury Duty.

But...yeah it was good cause I got out of work early and we ended up going to the movies. And he had some coupons so we went ALL OUT on the snacks. We got the large popcorn... I think we got one large drink to share and we got a pretzel. And the Pretzel was taking a really long time to get or maybe it was the popcorn or something... but we were already kind of late and at this point we missed the previews... but anyways... it was all good.

So when we were grabbing the soda... I think they filled it up a little too high with ice... or maybe we just messed up but knowing the movie theater we went to... it was probably their fault. And I'm not one to blame the service industry for stuff... but... yeah. I think it was their fault.

ANYWAY I digress... of corse when the soda is handed to us it immediately SPILLS ALL OVER THE FLOOR! And everyone just looks at us and laughs. THEY LAUGH! Lol. It's funny. One woman commented "That is how this day is." Or something... which seemed insulting but Aspen and I are just the cutest couple ever so clearly that's not it.

Anyway... that's our kind of cute story of our first Valentine's Day. And I hope we'll have another fun story this year! But it won't be us spilling anything at the movies because we only watch movies at home for the time being.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
