Chart Chat! 12/14/ 15

Alrighty this week is an exciting Chart Chat... is it really? Probably not... but we'll see anyway! Since the top songs are more or less the same as they were last week... I'm going to look at the top Alternative charts. These are mostly songs I know or artists I know... so yeah. Its different... but we'll see! Alternative Music (itunes)  5) Ugh by The 1975- I feel like I know this band. They were on How I Met Your Mother and did the community theme song right? No that was The 88... okay. Lol. Not bad, not my favorite song in the world. Not something I would buy probably... but if I heard it on the radio or something it wouldn't be the worst. 4) Renegades by X Ambassadors- I hate this song... lol. It isn't really a terrible song or anything, but it is just overplayed. When I hear a song on a commercial and its on the Radio... it just ends up being overplayed and i hate it. And this isn't anything special its just like "Yeah. I can fit my family into t...

Chart Chat 9/28/15

This is always a fun one. Lets Check out the charts! Music - iTunes top 5  5) Locked Away by  R City ft. Adam Levine- This is a pretty song... Adam Levine kind of creeps me out though so... yeah. I don't listen to it much. I don't think I like the rapper in the song that much either... if this is a rap song... he's just not really my favorite... but not a terrible song. 4) Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift- I like this song... probably not my favorite from her 1989 singles... I think I like it better than Bad Blood and Shake it off... but not much else. Its not a terrible song it just isn't my thing. I have a feeling thats how this chart is going to be. 3) What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber- This song is actually bad. A few weeks ago he was singing it on The Today Show and he got angry and you could hear him throwing a tantrum... that was a funny video. Plus live they have to play the song in the background while he's singing... I hate when they do that. Its pre...

Chart Chat! August 24th, 2015

I haven't done one of these in a while and they're quite fun! So lets start! Music  iTunes Top 5  5) Drag Me Down by One Direction- Of corse a One Direction song is #5! Its a new song though so I think it will creep up the charts quite fast. Let me hear the sample on iTunes... Its pretty good. Zane was the hottest so it is sad that he's not part of the band anymore... but its still pretty good and he supports the band still and tweeted that he was proud of his boys! It sounds quite a bit like Maroon 5... different for One D... but still good. Pretty good. 4) Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae) by Silento- Not sure if this is just a terrible sample... but this is definitely one of the 5 worst songs of all time I'd be safe to say... yep probably in the top 3. I really hate it. This is annoying as hell. When I started the preview it just said "Now do the stanky leg. Now Do the stanky leg." like 5 times and then it just got worse. This is unironically horrible and I ...

Chart Chat! April 6th 2015

So I really like doing these potsts. Its based off of the podcast Who Charted pretty much where they talk to guests and get to know them a little better based off the weekly charts in music and movies. I just post the top 5 movies and itunes chart and say how it pertains to my life... so its my take. Not the most original idea ever... but I like knowing what the top contenders are and I like talking about them... so that is that! 5) Insurgent- This has been out for 3 weeks and is still holding pretty strong at the box office. A lot of these top movies have been out for a few weeks now, except number 1... which if you haven't heard about yet... you might be living under a rock or something. Lol. Anyway this is also based on a popular book series... I own the first Divergent book, haven't read it yet... but it sounds good. Ansel Elgort is in it and I have a little crush on him even though I've never seen a movie of his and he is a tiny bit young for me...  well not really, ...

Chart Chat! 12/22/12

Soooo here I will talk about the top charts in music and movies.... thats all the prelude lol. Movies 5) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1- Wow! This was number 1 on the charts for a few weeks I believe, it's been out for 5 weeks and now its number 5. I really love the Hunger Games books and I like the movies as well, but whenever they come out in theaters I'm not like super excited. With the exception of the first movie I've never been like "I need to see this right when it comes out." I don't know. I always like the movies, but the last one I saw later in the theater... and this I probably will too. I feel excited to read the books when I hear a movie is being made about them... but when they come out I'm not as excited. Except for Gone Girl and The Maze Runner. Mockingjay is also probably my least favorite book, so there's that too... but overall yeah. lol. I will see this eventually but its not at the top of my list. 4) Exodus: Gods and Kin...

Weekly charts!

Itunes Music Charts  5) Habits (Stay High) by Tove Lo- Ohhh I think I know this song. I don't know if I know it from a commercial or a TV show or if they played it at the store I worked at. I liked it. It has a Lorde type of vibe, I can definitely seeing this song being one that I won't get tired of easily... I like it! I really like it. There isn't too much on the radio I like right now, but this is good.  4) Animals by Maroon 5- I think I've mentioned this... I thought this was about something totally different. I thought it said "I'm gonna finger you tonight." Which is a pretty weird declaration. Also I thought another Maroon 5 song said the same thing. I think this has gotten some buzz over the controversial video. It's apparently a little creepy, Adam Levine is hunting the girl in the video... who just happens to be his wife. It sounded weird to me. So yeah.  3) All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor- I'm slightly sick of this song. ...

Charts! August 4th 2014

Let's see the top 5 movies and songs this week and I will let you know how I feel about them.  Movies 5) Dawn of The Planet of The Apes-(8.7 mil this week)- i don't think you could pay me to be interested in any of these movies. This is a sequel to a second reboot and none of these sound like good movies to me. I actually started watching Rise of The Planet of The Apes a few hours ago and it's boring shit. I'm never going to care about apes uprising and taking the planet unless it happens in real life... Which I doubt it will.  James Franco is not though, which is the only reason I started watching it in the first place. Lol.  4) Hercules (11 million this week)- Another film I have little interest in if it isn't animated. Too action-y. It's not right that one of the top paid actors is The Rock. Just not right.  3) Get on Up (opening weekend 13.6 million)- this isn't doing to bad for a non- action movie in the summer time. I think this movie actually looks li...
