13 Days of AHS Day 6: American Horror Story Crossovers

Since we're in a crossover season of American Horror Story- I thought it'd be kind of fun to count all the crossovers from the other seasons. 1) MONTGOMERY- Although I'm not sure this technically counts as a crossover- our first clue of the seasons being connected was the name Montgomery... which we first see with Dr. Charles and Nora Montgomery in Murder House. Charles Montgomery is a doctor with a Frankenstein complex and Nora was an actress. Madison Montgomery in Coven is an actress that also has a Frankenstein complex. Of corse the only child Charles and Nora had became the Infantata and was confined in the murder house... but maybe Madison was of some relation. 2) Pepper and Sister Mary Eunice- I think there were 2 references to Asylum in Freak Show... for some reason I thought Dr. Arden... or maybe his brother or someone was the one to amputate Elsa's legs... but I could be wrong. Anyway Pepper was the first character we saw in multiple seasons and then it ...

13 Days of AHS: Official American Horror Story Season Ranking for 2018

Okay guys... so you know I love Halloween and I love American Horror Story... so I thought I would talk about American Horror Story every day until Halloween. It's halloween-ish... and I love Talking about AHS... so I thought I'd do some reviews, maybe some theories... and I'm going to start with how I would rank the seasons today. This is subject to change... I feel like I always have a different view with it... but still. I will give you my rankings and my reasonings for the first 7 seasons. 7) Asylum-  I know this is a lot of people's favorite season... a lot of podcasts I listen to rank it highly... and I have to admit there are some great episodes in this season... but as a whole- there was almost no payoff from this season. I think the alien thing would have been good... had it not been in this season. I feel like the Adam Levine/ Jenna Dewan Tatum parts are just too cheesy and that didn't really need to be in the story at all... Dr. Arden's Monster...

Jane the Virgin, Halloween Monsters, Dunkin Donuts, and Spencer's Vet Visit

This isn't exactly right as I'm waking up... I ended up staying up till like 3 watching Jane The Virgin last night. And I watched the third episode before the second episode... so that was crazy! I meant to watch more Halloween Movies for Blogoween... and I just didn't get around to it. But I will have a review coming up soon I think and I want to try to watch a few more. I did watch Krampus, however and that is somehow where my dream came from. So it was halloween and the Monster from the movie Trick or Treat was apparently eating people. Which is funny because I've never seen Trick or Treat and I have no idea if that's what happens in it... but it was specifically that Monster! And now I'm just trying to write while drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee... which is actually good. I'm a Starbucks person, but for regular plain coffee, Dunkin or Rook is probably better. And I forgot to talk about the vet yesterday. Spencer is good, he had a couple of shots an...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 10: Top 5 Halloween Movies for Everyone

This is going to be a fun one! Here are my favorites for Halloween... These are the movies I've watched since I was a kid, family friendly movies that you can watch on the 13 Nights of Halloween and places like that... so yeah I'm going to just start off with those. This changes all the time... but there is one that I would say is consistently one of my favorite movies anytime I see it during the year. There are TONS of halloween movies that I love... but these are my can't miss ones. 5) Beetlejuice- Haven't seen this yet this year... but I love this movie! There was a restaurant I went to that has since closed down (and coincidentally, is now my favorite restaurant) and there was a woman that worked there that reminded me of the woman at the desk... and that whole restaurant just ran like Limbo from Beetlejuice. It was kind of funny. I love the campyness of it all and I wish they still made campy movies like this. Really great movie! 4) Nightmare Before Christmas T...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 8: Scribbles about TV: Spoiler Heavy The Walking Dead Recap from someone who hasn't seen the Walking Dead since about the third episode of Season 2.

Alright... there's some huge graphically violent thing that happens on the Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere that disgusted all of my Facebook friends and made them cry... so naturally I had to watch it with very little context of what's happening. I'm going to give a beat by beat summary during commercial breaks... but keep in mind, I don't know anything about the characters names or the show, so it is pretty unreliable, ill informed and meant for comedy. So it starts out with Denny from Greys Anatomy talking to Rick and the Gang. Rick has blood on his face, and it appears that John Winchester just killed one of Ricks buddies. He keeps talking about a right hand man and someone named Simon... and he says "do you have a right hand man or was it." And then you see Denny's club with blood on it and Rick's bloody forehead. Then Denny brings Rick into a trailer. Opening credits/ commercial. Rick is in Denny's death trailer and he's mocking...

13 Days of Blogoween Day 5: Scribbles About TV: The American Horror Story: Roanoke Twist (With Spoilers)

This twist is sort of what I was expecting, but I'm saying that in a good way. There have been so many crazy fan theories about what they think is happening... and its all been pretty bad. I'm happy they chose this route because it did totally turn the tables and turn it into something entirely different... but they did expand on the story in a different way that did really change things. So I was hoping they would do something with the real Matt and Shelby... but also show the actors. I was hoping the actors would be the real actors of the story... but they did a totally more interesting take with having the woman playing The Butcher as a Crazy Woman, Sarah Paulson's character is British and married to Evan Peters, Shelby had a fling with the actor who played Matt... and Lee is angry at Angela Basset's characters portrayal of her. Its all very interesting the way that they did everything. Plus... there was a very calm feeling in the first part of the series. Matt, ...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 4: Scribbles About Events: The Glow Jack O Lantern Experience

This is something I've heard a lot about on the radio and it just sounded like a lot of fun to me! Its a little trail where they have over 5,000 jack o lanterns all lit up in one place and its just a really cool thing. If you have kids and they aren't into the spookier events that go on, this is great. There are some spooky pumpkins and some spooky decorations, but there's no one there to jump out and scare you... its just a really fun, neat thing to look at. A lot of the pumpkins were just regular Jack o Lantern faces, which were really cute. They had a pumpkin garland thing too, which did appear to be hand carved out of tiny pumpkins or gourds, probably with string lights attached to it... which was cool. And they sort of had a bunch of different areas that had themes. There was one with TV characters like The Sopranos, Breaking Bad and I think there was a Scarface and Godfather pumpkin. There was also a pirate area and a dinosaur area. And they had pumpkins placed in...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 3: Scribbles About Events: Camp Evans Base of Terror

This is a fun local Halloween event! I went last year and this year... and whenever the first year they started doing this was... and its improved a lot and it is probably the best haunted house I've been to... I like the ones in Six Flags a lot... but this one is pretty creepy in itself. Camp Evans Base is a weird place in general.  Here  is the history of it all. Its a huge place, so its super creepy to just have a haunted house that massive... but it is really good. And I think they've even expanded how big it is. The first year I think it ended early but there was a haunted hay ride with it... now they just have the walk through, which is really cool. They have a lot of really cool decorations and a lot of people in costumes. They sort of have everything in little sections. So you go in one section and its an asylum, one section dolls, one is a haunted Alice in Wonderland type of thing, a clown section... they separate everything pretty well too so that the transitions...

13 Nights of Blogoween Day 1: Quick Thoughts on Every Horror Movie I can Remember

I thought this would be kind of fun to do for halloween. I haven't seen a lot of the popular horror movies... but I've seen a few, so I thought I'd post a little about horror movies and thrillers that I remember seeing and liking. So yeah! The House on Haunted Hill (remake)  Fun fact: This was the first R rated movie I ever saw all of. It's a pretty scary one too... if I remember right, only 2 people survive... there's a lot of other weird stuff that makes it R rated that sort of went over my head as a kid... so this isn't exactly the best first r rated movie to watch... but it is a little more exciting than it is scary. I remember it feeling more adventurous than anything. I think I saw one part a few years ago and it was weird... so idk about this one... might try re-watching it for a throwback thursday though! The Sixth Sense  Remember when M. Night Shamylan could do no wrong? Those were the days. My parents guessed the ending of this right away without...
